Mornin’ all. No snow forecast here. I think the weatherguessers are right about that. I met a friend and her little doggie at the doggie park here this morning. The doggies have met before and acted like they were going to kill each other. We took them off the leash in the park and they were like best friends.
LOL I have FOX and FRIENDS on and Pete is interviewing a British guy. He was pointing out how America’s culture wars spill out to Britain. He pointed out that during the “Me Too”movement the British Def. Minister had to resign because years earlier he had put his hand on a reporter’s knee. “It was a very English sex scandal because it didn’t involve any sex.” LOL

The air plants I bought today.
This one is about the size of a softball. Not pot, I’m just supposed to soak it for 20 minutes a month in room temperature water and then mist it twice a week. 😬

You should try phalaenopsis orchids. They are the ones you see in the supermarket or superstores. If you buy one when it is blooming, it will bloom for months. If you feed it a diluted liquid plant food instead of plain water once it stops blooming, it will bloom again the next year. They are beautiful!

I’ve seen them at the supermarkets, my friend killed 3 (all gifts from her children)
so I don’t have much confidence in myself in bringing one home 😑.

Believe me, the phalaenopsis is pretty easy. I have one (from a friend’s funeral) right now that is about 14 months here at my house. I hope it will bloom again this winter. I have had them in the past too that I have kept alive with benign neglect for several years. Big thing is not to allow them to sit in water, don’t put in direct sunlight.
When I was in Florida one year, I visited the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, where they have a huge collection of air plants, including orchids. Breathtaking! It is a beautiful property right on the ocean. I highly recommend.

By the way, the Selby gardens are very large, and you can wander around and see tropical fruit trees, a gorgeous koi pond, and much more. This really impressed me (huge banyan grove):

And while we were occupied elsewhere, there’s an air leak onboard the International Space Station. Seems the leak’s on the Russian Zvezda module, Russian cosmonauts discovered the leak (a fracture in the hull) by using a hi-tech Russian detection device – a used teabag. Seems by carefully deploying the teabag the cosmonauts were able to detect the leak as the teabag, in zero gravity, would sway in the direction of the air leak. High teckski.
A Russian patch was placed on the fracture and considerably slowed the leak while not stopping it entirely. The Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos is not life threatening and the cosmonauts are considering borrowing a better patch from their ‘partners’ on the ISS.
A Soyuz 17 resupply vehicle has been launched with more efficient leak location equipment and a, hopefully, better Russian-made sealant. I presume there’s always the option of that ‘partner’ on the ISS lending them something that works. Ahhhhh, Russian space technology.

So not only did Wray not inform the White House, Congress, or anyone else about the emails, he’s now investigating whether the Russians made up all the photos, emails and impersonated Hunter? Who knows what the amazingly coifed Wray is doing other than continuing the hoax.
