      Afternoon Lucille, Stellars.
Your pics are always so beautiful. One Wednesday, a week or two ago, i smelled rather than see one pic of flowers, it was that good.
Your link to RVing – Mom and Dad’s retirement plan was RVing, just like that couple. But first Dad had to redo the house. Then L’il Bro moved home, more court visits, more jail time. Then L’il Bros family moved in…..
      You get the picture.

Then Dad found Stage 4 lung cancer.
Don’t put off any of your retirement plans. The world will move on whether you stay or go, and your family will survive (or not, depending on their choice, not your choice).

I agree, jeans. My parents went rv’ing for a couple of years – then my dad got sick.

Good afternoon, jeans! My father retired at 62 (Mom was 52 at the time) in 1967 and their travels for the next 20 years took them to every state–except Alaska and Hawaii–plus the Canadian provinces from Nova Scotia to British Columbia.

They loved to travel the roads and bi-ways, first in a 20-foot travel trailer attached to their Chrysler station wagon, and part of the time after 1980 in a used yellow school van. Dad painted a stripe covering the school name, refurbished the interior to include a fold-down table and chairs, storage cabinets behind the driver’s and passenger’s seats, padded and carpeted the floor. They slept in sleeping bags laid over a foam mattress which was rolled up during the day. Adventurous was their middle name. LOL!

They were such great people. Others seemed naturally drawn to them because of their joy of life, a love of good laughs and their sweet, Christian character. They made friends wherever they went.

Dad passed in 1989 and Mom in 2006. It’s wonderful to know someday we and our extended family and dear friends all will be reunited and that it will be forever.

FLASHBACK: Joe Biden Has Been Around For So Long, Johnny Carson Once Made Fun Of His Lies (VIDEO)
By Mike LaChance – Published September 18, 2020 at 12:55am

Joe Biden has been in Washington for 47 years. If you want some real perspective on how long that is, consider this. Johnny Carson once made fun of Joe Biden on the Tonight Show.

Good morning everyone. I have decided that half the world’s problems might instantly be solved with a good night’s sleep. I know I sure feel better. Happy Friday. Fall is coming, and we are headed toward the end of this crap show of a year!

I slept really well last night too. It’s very cool, but sunny today. Fall is definitely here. Officially only a few days away.

I’ve been outside on our little patio for awhile now. I’d guess temps are around 70ish and a good breeze is blowing. Nights dipping into the 50s are in the forecast. Feels so good.

I’m glad about it for all who work outside, like my husband. He loves it and has never wanted to be inside in any job at all. But as he ages he is losing some of his ability to withstand the extreme heat. As a young man he did it 12 hours a day and came home to more work sometimes. Now it really saps him, and he’s working nine hours.

Our high today will be in the 60’s. Tomorrow too. It felt good to have a nice down quilt over me last night.

At my son and DIL’s in Ohio. Everybody is great, including the new baby. The weather is wonderful, cool and sunny all day. It was a little under 50*, I believe, last night and only in the low 70’s today. We went apple picking today and had lunch at an Amish deli/store. I got my new Mac and am learning it. I’m a slow learner. 🙄 I have to sign in for each comment I make, so I won’t be making any more tonight.

Good day to you, Menagerie. Hope the injury is healing nicely. A sound, uninterrupted night’s sleep is a little bit of heaven.

Well, well, well. I will give this young man a bit of credit for beginning to remove the scales from his eyes. It’s one, but it always takes one to start. Still too late for me to decide to watch the NFL.

    Afternoon, Stella, Stellars.
Wicked Son and DIL drove up from Greensboro last night, and they came to my town to hit the Bob Evans. There are 6 universities and colleges in/around Greensboro, but no Bob Evans!
    Now that is just criminal.
It was nice to see them for an hour.
Surprisingly, Bob Evans only had one wear a mask until one sits down at a table. Then all masks are gone. smh. dumb
Also surprisingly, most of the clientele were middle-aged or younger. No old guys except me, that i could see. One very young LEO with a nearly brand-new baby and his wife across from us. Prayed for the LEO’s continued safety. WS paid their bill, of course.
Hope your day is going great.

    Great neighbors!

DIVIDE COUNTY, N.D. (KFYR) – Around 60 farmers in Divide County put their own harvesting on hold to cut 1,000 acres for a neighbor who suffered a heart attack after his combine caught fire last week.

Lane Unhjem was in the middle of harvesting when he went into cardiac arrest near Crosby, North Dakota.

Neighbors, friends, and family brought 11 combines, six grain carts, and 15 semis to get Unhjem’s Durum Wheat and Canola in the bin. When they heard about Unhjem’s situation last week, they immediately started coordinating an effort to help him out.

“I talked to a couple of farmers, got their equipment, and then other people just started calling and we had equipment offered from all over the place in the county, and their workers to go with it,” said family friend, Jenna Binde.

Those who assisted say letting the Unhjems’ crops go unharvested would’ve been a big loss for the family, and helping out was just common sense.
