    Dr Li-Ming Yan, the Chinese virologist who defected to the US and has what she claims to be proof that the COVID virus originated in the Chinese military lab in Wuhan has recently run into a firestorm of attacks on her claims and ‘proofs’ by US media figures and scientists following the US government’s party line. Just today she had her Twitter account cancelled.

    She’s a valid virologist, you can Google her and see her CV at various symposia. Since her defection and claims of working in positions that gave her access to proof it was a lab virus many of those who hailed her revelations are now attacking them and her.

    I’m wondering if Biden wins in November the DoJ will find some pretense to, if bot send her back to China, send her to a place where China can snatch her up? Neither the Chinese or their US shills can afford to have her offering up proof that we have an act of war on top of acts of treason?

    The process of neutralizing her is well under way, the media talking heads are already calling her proof ‘unsubstantiated’ without even seeing it – you know, the same folks who said that Russiagate ‘proof’ was real. What a mess we’ve got going on, government as a Fox reality program.

    Found this on twitter this morning – I hope the link works the way I think it might…..it’s the woman who caught the interloper on her property the other day – and dealt with him.

    I love her no-nonsense stance and confidence (no need to be POINTING the weapon right at him – he knows she’s right there!!!) – not all Oregonians are liberal goofballs. Most of them are not.

    Two observations from yesterday and today:

    *Our HOA board in this 55+ community have published the language of a new bylaw which empowers the HOA to add their own punitive $$$ fine to the State of Oregon fines ($200 per mask violation) if they catch any of us in the community violating CDC commands. Makes me wonder if they will also give themselves the authority to add their own $$$ penalty to the State of Oregon vehicle code and collect a fine when someone rolls through a stop sign. Makes me wonder what the money trail will be. I am working on how to ask a productive question, which cannot happen until I am somewhat able to ask it in my inside voice and actually leave room for a response.

    *Had to pick up baking ingredients at Walmart this morning. Now the capos at the door, who are counting the people in and out of the single open entrance, have a large ID tag that says, “Health Ambassador”. I did not use my inside voice. I sort of erupted, “You’ve got to be kidding. Now you are a ‘health ambassador’?” Entry level employee just shrugged and said, “That’s what they tell us.” Continuing with my outside voice, I said, “It’s never going to stop.”

    One day at a time.

    Reminding myself at the moment that Jesus, the Christ, lived his entire life and walked out his entire ministry under Roman occupation in Judea, and in the end, it wasn’t the Romans who engineered his crucifixion (although they implemented it) — it was temple priests who arranged that, using their leverage against hapless “rulers”.

    And Dietrich Bonhoeffer was executed just two weeks before Hitler killed himself, the Friday after Easter in 1945. The handful of political prisons (about 17 of them) who were being frantically shuttled around right at the end, first at Ravensbruck and then other sites could HEAR the American guns in the distance. He HEARD the American guns in the days before he died. Being on the right side of history does not mean there is an assured righteous outcome for everyone who stands there.

      If my HOA fined me for not wearing a mask, I would refuse to pay. I did this with my city when they fined me for my grass being too long (it was a large fine and totally unearned.) I sent them a letter about it and when they added it to my property taxes, I deducted it from my payment. In my opinion, this was a money-raising scam, and most people pay them. They never went after me for the money.

      The thing is, they have no right to fine me without giving me an opportunity to defend myself in court. They know this, or should. I don’t have to pay a speeding ticket without being given the right to appear in court, so why should I have to pay a fine without that same right?

      In the case of your HOA, they are not a government entity, can’t make laws, and can’t take it upon themselves to enforce “laws” (in this case, edicts) made by the state.

      The Walmart story is funny. Of course Walmart can refuse you entry without a mask, but the Health Ambassador moniker is ridiculous.
