The Democrats’ Latest Religious Test
Editorial of The New York Sun | August 26, 2020
No sooner did President Trump air at the Republican convention Secretary of State Pompeo’s endorsement video recorded in Jerusalem than the Biden camp is unleashing a new objection — that the secretary is too religious to represent all of the American people. We kid you not. This has got to be the most desperate, offensive, and unconstitutional claims against a state secretary that the Democrats have ever aired.

I think Joe Biden is too greedy and senile to represent all American people. I’ve had both greedy and senile people in my family and within my general acquaintance, but they have always been a tiny % of the total.
I hope the memes will write themselves on this one.

How senile is Joe? Nancy Pelosi is calling for no debates. If they do schedule a debate no way that Joe shows up. Harris maybe with some excuse like Joe has some ailment and Harris is just showing that she can step in…

There is no way they will be stupid enough to allow Biden to debate a mirror, let alone President Trump. But oh good grief, would you not love to see it happen?

I can’t wait for the election. Joe needs to go away and he will be put out to pasture when all of this is over. I wonder if the democrats ever wonder how they got where they are.
I am looking forward for the first time in my life to a VP debate. Imagine Harris with her background and her annoying ticks debating the steadfast and moral Pence. It will be awesome. She laugh at her own jokes and VP Pence will look pained. Americans will cringe overtime Harris opens her mouth after that.

Joe’s not too far off on this one, more than one poll shows that the majority of the US population is not religious. The Rats see the closing of churches due to nonattendance, the waning number of attendees overall and centered in the urban areas which are their stronghold.
They don’t expect to get a lot of heavily religious people voting for them, they want to make sure as many of their distracted urban base to vote as they can. I also see the ongoing war on Christianity seems not to be spoken of one way or another but I’m wondering how much unstated support it’s getting from Rat principals? We’re seeing the attacks heavily carried out in the more metro/liberal Rat-heavy areas where it appears the religion-based morality is being replaced by situational ethics, something Pew noticed too.
This is marketing to the younger, more urban and less religious demographic, trying through easily argued code words to move them under the Rat’s umbrella just as every other despot for over a hundred years has tried to do.

All true czar, but generally pols, except Killery and Obama, try to walk that line between winning one demographic and losing as little of the others as you possibly can. Most of the time you can’t write off one whole group of people and win an election, especially a national one.
Christians are still enough of a voting block, with enough money, to make ourselves felt. And I believe there are a significant number of those who may be labeled as nones who will not go whole hog in allowing Christian persecution.
I personally know some people who might classify themselves as nones rather than Christian, and who would never under any circumstances throw in with overtly anti Christian leaders. I know people who are not Christian but very pro life, for example.
Here I’m going to take a side trip to an unrelated topic. I’m involved in starting a non profit group to work with disadvantaged youth in foster care to help them develop life skills in preparation for aging out of care. The group hit a sudden snag on the brink of filing.
The lady who initiated this, and many of the rest of us are Catholic, with other denominations and possibly some secular people involved, but heavily religious. They wanted to create a religious non profit for protections when we get to the point of hiring people. In other words while no kids will be turned away, we are not willing to hire people who espouse a life and moral view very contrary to our beliefs.
We won’t be wanting Evile de Diablo, priest in the local satanic church, to hire on, and without knowing what we are doing, Mr. Evile would be protected by federal non discrimination laws. Suddenly we have a problem because we cannot file as a religious organization without being part of a church or other already established faith based organization.
Just throwing that in as a sideline, because I’ve been thinking about it.

That means more than you can know. I have been blessed many times over since Sundance invited me to be one of the original Treehouse gang, but no more important or lasting blessing has topped the love and support and prayers for Conner.
We still occasionally get comments on the blog or emails asking for Conner updates. I try to do a post a year at least with a little about him because he’s got a fan base of Treepers.
I can’t say where the little guy, and our family, would be without all the love and prayers sent his way from all over the world. I am humbled and eternally grateful. I will also always be in prayer for my Treeper pals, forever.

Using the powers of the courts to crush those who use deadly, or potentially, deadly force to defend themselves and others is part of the ongoing process of redefining self defense.
There’s been a lot of pushback by urban activists to end CCW as they see it as the State giving scared whites permission to kill Persons of Color. The argument is that the overwhelming number of CCW holders do not know the law, may panic and shoot another person ‘accidentally’. The whites are scared of empowered black males and, when you figure in that system of systemic racism they were raised under, creates a volatile mix of emotions that might well lead to the death of yet another black male at the hands of…yada yada yada.
It’s a variation on the theme being used to reduce police abilities to apprehend and arrest criminals and to disarm working police. The CCW version also includes the issue of: why does government allow lethal self defense in the case of non-capital crimes like carjacking, home invasion and assault with a deadly weapon before any physical contact is made by the attacker? Why even actually shooting a person but not mortally isn’t a capital crime so why allow deadly force in self defense? Just give it up, cracker.
More than one judge has been quoted as telling a defendant s/he felt that the person displaying the firearm in defense was ‘just scared of getting a little ass kicking’, that feeling that the person being attacked somehow deserved it or should have just sucked it up. We’ve had judges comment in cases of carjacking and home invasion that the owners should have just let the invaders have the car/house, run away to safety, as no property is worth someone else’s life, even the potentially rehabilitative criminals.
Rant out, this is a sore spot I have. I see the ‘Oh poor perp’ defense as a cutting-edge tool to stop trying to bring certain groups under the umbrella of civilized behavior (seemingly futile) and just meld criminal behavior into our culture.

Just give it up, cracker. Sums it up right there.
I am so pleased that Wood is going Kyle’s team. I haven’t checked yet of Todd McMurtry is joining. The excuses from the feral radicals are so absurd. Video certainly appears to show that Kyle did not fire first. I also noticed the short bald guy earlier in other videos he was deranged.

Firing or even presenting a gun first can be easily defended as…a defense. All depends on which person has the most creative lawyer.

I have no idea if someone breaks into my home or tries carjacking whether they want tomkill me or not, and it won’t be the time for a debate. So, best case in the Menagerie belief system, I fear for my life. Worst case, I do value my home and property that we have blood and sweat equity in more than them.
LikeLiked by 3 people
I have no problem with defending my home, vehicle or person with whatever force is necessary to end the aggression.
I also know that if you have to use deadly force and you just wound the perp it’s quite possibly for YOU to be criminally and civilly charged as a prog DA and/or tort lawyer would argue that you didn’t perceive a true deadly threat or YOU would have killed and not wounded the woundedee. Now begins the game (with wounded, sad looking perp and his haggard and pitiful family prominently displayed) of were you justified or just panicked by the approach of this friendly, helpful person?
There’s a choice as to under which circumstances you want to be raked over the coals.

I’m back from the Secretary of State’s office to renew my driver’s license, and upgrading it to the “enhanced” version with a RFID chip. In order to get that I had to prove who I was, and that I was a citizen with my birth certificate and marriage certificate (because of name change.) They grilled me on the info on my birth certificate. Wonder if they do that when you apply to vote?
By the way, I made this appointment in early June, when the SOS office reopened. My driver’s license expired in late May. COVID and Democrats.
They didn’t bother to give me either a written test or an eye test, so I could be an elderly blind woman who is gaga and nobody would know. I can drive legally though!

We went through all that when we moved to Tennessee. I recently discovered when we bought a new vehicle that they transposed numbers on my birthdate. Compared it to my paperwork I filled out, which they used to create the danger thing, that as expected, I did still know my own BD and they were wrong. So, I gotta go back.
Since we were moving from Georgia we had to bring along a lot of proof of residence stuff too. And every time I have gotten a license in Georgia and Tennessee since 2001 when we moved to Georgia I have had to provide our marriage certificate, even though my name was not changing on the license. It has been the same last name since 1976.

They can’t accidentally transpose my birth date, fortunately, because the day and the year are both greater than 12.
I took everything I could think of with me, just in case, including proof that I am collecting Social Security, my divorce decree and my expired passport. Didn’t need any of those, though.

The Conner report is good. He made it through, teacher said he did well, getting tired toward the end of the day. He did have a meltdown in the car on the way home, over something unrelated, but probably influenced by him having a stressful day, and being tired.
When his mother told him he goes back tomorrow, and every school day he said “No, I quit.” Let’s hope he changes his mind. Appreciate the prayers so much! I just wanted him to get a good start at least.

When his teacher came to get him this morning she informed them that she had things under control and was taking him to class. The teacher could not convince her otherwise, so she went along. When school was out big sister swooped down on him, declaring that she was so glad things went well, she had been so worried, and she again informed his teacher that she was taking him.
He asked her to comb his hair this morning and help him get ready. She packed his backpack for him. He really does look to her for so much, even though she is only eight years old. She is a kid born to lead.

I have to tell you. I have a theory about meltdowns. I ran an in-home daycare for several years. I almost never had a meltdown of one of my children, but some of them did it sometimes when a parent came to pick them up. I felt like they didn’t feel free to have that meltdown with me, but they trusted their parents more and felt free with them.

Menagarie, one of the funniest and most touching real stories I saw unfold about a kid (in first grade) who announced he wasn’t going back – had to do with the young son of some good friends and neighbors of ours in Minnesota.
He grew up on a large farm. Absolutely loved working with his dad. Doing helpful things that a 6 year old could start helping with, with both the fields and cattle.
He was perfectly content to go off to school on the first day, and for many, many days thereafter. They ran into a problem after the March thaw handed at the usual time in western Minnesota.
He explained to his mother that he wouldn’t be able to continue because, now that the thaw was happening, that meant the farm work would get started in earnest, and he needed to be with his dad.
His mother gently explained to him that first grade continued – all year – and he could not quit to do farmwork.
He burst out as righteously indignant as a six year old can –
“If I had known that, I wouldn’t have let you sign me up!”
She really felt bad for him—he was obviously shocked by the requirement and just wanted to be with his dad.

Sorry, but I can’t post pictures of the new baby. Her parents don’t want me to. I will respect that. But, I found out she was 8 lbs 7 oz. and 20 in. long. All three girls have been at least 8 lbs, the first one was 10 lbs. And, she has a full head of hair, just like her sisters. My son said when he first saw her he laughed because she looks just like the other two did. My DIL looked absolutely radient in the pictures they took at their house after they got home.
Oh, the 3 yr old got tears in her eyes when she heard it was a girl. And, when she got to hold her, she got tears in her eyes. Both girls are so thrilled to have a little sister. The lab is pretty happy, too. He sniffs her feet and licks her gently. Then he lays right down next to her wherever she is.
