What’s the first thing you should do when making plans to deal with an enemy?

    Never underestimate him.

It’s patently absurd to consider Trump unintelligent, a dope, an ignoramus. Why?

Because he was NEVER considered any of those things until he announced his run for the Presidency. IT’S ALL POLITICAL! In past interviews he was actually encouraged to run and he demurred for the moment but didn’t rule it out.**

Morning all. I think I would have been involved in a brawl here myself. I doubt I would have turned the other cheek, no matter that I should have.

      Good morning all,
50 ft Pres.Trump is hysterical, the church lady…..since I can’t actually hit her, she’d have been dropped gently to the floor and held till the appropriate authority arrived. We cannot continue to allow this happening to us. It’s tough, I will not go against the way I was raised but at the same time I cannot stand by and watch others being abused simply because the abuser “can”. I believe it’s rapidly reaching the point of push back today or surrender tomorrow.

I read further and as of yesterday the police had taken the aggressor in but released her and are not bringing charges at this time since, after consultation with the archdiocese, she has “mental health issues”. So she will be allowed to go about in her neighbors’ daily lives without any intervention to keep this or some higher level of agression to reoccur?

    • I do not understand – no one physically held the violent assaulter down & called police? Did someone even follow her? An interview with a parishioner said they have had problems like this in the past, but with no violence. Apparently they are waiting for her to hit someone so hard they fall, hit their head and die. Well no that still won’t matter to these brainwashed cowards.

Allowing this to happen with no consequences is to bring scandal upon the church. It is an act of mercy to lovingly inform a sinner that their sin would spiritually harm them or bring harm to others. Apparently they do not have any depth to their religious knowledge, nor men in their parish. I later read nothing happened to the violent woman when she was apprehended because she has mental problems. So now anyone can say they have mental problems and run around assaulting people. Why am I not surprised?

Even when I lived in Marxachusetts where you can not touch a person deemed mentally incompetent even if they invade your home (I know this 1st hand!), if they became violent they were taken away, not allowed to continue to roam around assaulting people. That was 20 years ago though.

Mornin’ all. Just a little hazy, hot and humid so far. Yesterday afternoon late, we had a t-storm that for just the few minutes it lasted, seemed like a hurricane. It rained hard for a minute or two and the concrete patio dried up immediately when it quit. Weird.

I talked to my son last night. My DIL has been having Braxton-Hicks contractions for a week or so now. She is having trouble sleeping. He said her mother got there yesterday. She came a week earlier than planned because they think she is really close to having the baby. They are selling the house and now have it under contract. They got their asking price and no haggling. They had had to move to a motel for a few days because there were 200 people scheduled to view the house. LOL I feel so sorry for my DIL. They had to move when she had the last baby. She is a real trooper, that gal is. He picked a peach. And, she makes beautiful babies. 🙂

Looks like my friend and I will be going to Key West on Friday. Hope no more hurricanes pop up next week. 😯

My goodness, what city do they live in for 200 showings? Maybe they should have run the price higher!

      • auscitizenmom says:

Okay, that might have been a slight exaggeration, but not by much. I wondered why they didn’t make the price higher, too. They only put it on the market in the last few weeks, too. Probably was looked at by people wanting to get out of the big cities. My son’s unit is being called up and he will be overseas until about this time next year. So, I figure they priced the house to be able to get out of it quick so they could move the family to her mom’s house before he leaves. They couldn’t take a chance of it taking too much time. He leaves in Nov.

A little cross-section of current events in the former Rose City:

    https://katu.com/news/local/portland-naacp-president-ed-mondaine-asks-protesters-to-think-about-their-own-families

The NAACP is noticing the human reaction to almost 90 riots with the recently added feature of night time rampages in residential neighborhoods. This very late and convenient response makes me realize that the BLM and the NAACP are actually the black version of the KKK, as they are all of sudden worried about the PR aspect. They actually are replicating the KKK strategies and techniques–intimidation, night time raids, costumes to conceal identity, all to the point where the authorities bow down and look the other way.

The other night they dragged a guillotine along to use at the riot. I kid you not–a full size guillotine. May have been paper mache (sp), but it was full size and had a chopping blade.

    Will be safe.

    I am a major multi Cat4-5 Hurricane and EF4-5 tornado survivor…

So whenever I see a threatening storm situation coming toward my friends…I know what to do…get on my face before God and pray to protect family and friends.

It takes a natural disaster survivor to care and pray for friends to get through it.

Shout out to CZ and wife!

Shalom and bless all of you.

Today’s irony double take: the multinational biotechnology company Biogen held a international corporate leadership conference in Boston during the last week of February. Unknown to them there was a COVID infected person in attendance, one with a unique mutation of the virus that made it easily identifiable to analysis. Seems that after the attendees went home they spread that strain far and wide as did other crowd events like Mardi Gras.

Interesting takeaway was that there are multiple mutations of the virus going around, some patients having more than one mutation of the virus in their lungs at one time.

    • So how is “a” meaning one vaccine (it’s not really a vaccine) supposed to work? Maybe that’s why Bill Gates says we’ll need multiples, but even that won’t help if the Wuflu mutates that quickly. I’m wondering if the ability to mutate so quickly was built into the vaccine to purposely reduce the effectiveness of a vaccine. Do natural viruses mutate that quickly?
Each year the big brains basically make an educated guess which strain of seasonal flu is going to emerge for that years influenza shots. When they are wrong we have a bad flu season, so how is this vaccine for a virus that mutates so fast supposed to work? This is one more reason for opening everything for CONTINUING herd immunity and focusing on those who really need it, i.e. the elderly and ill.

There’s a whole lotta **** that makes no sense.

I’ve been following the virus since the earliest Chinese feeds well before it hit the US and ‘guidance’ on meds has been all over the place. We heard early that folks in China and Europe taking a proton pump inhibitor has lesser effects when going into the hospital with the virus…then US researchers said the inhibitors seem to make the virus effects worse. Early on the same out-of-US researchers said ACE inhibitors made the virus effects worse by increasing ACE-2 levels, worsening the cytokine storm; now we’re hearing US researchers sat ‘take those ACE inhibitors, they help markedly.

Same with HCQ where positive studies are being quashed/trashed and with anticoagulants that were being routinely used early on but now are being stepped on as they ‘may’ cause bleeding while ‘heavily’ preventing microclotting.

Think that there may be someone out there who wants the death toll to increase? Guess I should go out and get treatment, I might have a COVID strain that impedes my judgement.

CONFIRMED: China Launched a Massive Social Media Campaign in March to Get Countries to Adopt Stringent Coronavirus Lockdowns and Destroy Their Economies
By Joe Hoft – Published August 25, 2020 at 4:23pm

China released the coronavirus sometime in late 2019. By early March China was pushing countries around the globe to put in place economic shutdowns similar to what the CCP did in Wuhan. They clearly wanted the world to suffer economically from the virus.

          • Back in the 1990’s magazines like the Economist (nothing like what they are now) and Jayne’s Weekly had quotes from the Chinese saying they would not need to win a military war with us, they will destroy us financially as well as other ways.

BTW Lou Dobbs now vehemently saying we are at war with China, and not just a cold war.

Well, I take Xarelto anyway, but I asked my Dr. last month if he would help me get HCQ and he said no! He said the laws would not let him! He also said he encouraged everybody to get the vaccines. I’m looking for another Dr.

I found a way to get HCQ! I have Latino relatives that gave me a website of a reliable pharmacy that they use all of the time. Mexifarmacy.com. Just look for “Himanix”. The shipping is affordable, but it may take a while because of US mail being slow at this time.

I ordered some, and when it comes I’ll let ya’ll know what my opinion is. They sell all sorts of drugs, but they do have some that the US does not allow them to ship. HCQ is not on that list. I really trust these relatives and know they would not steer me wrong.

  8. Afternoon All 🙂

Here is a nice painting by a couple of artists new to me. It is “Hot August Night” by Greg & Linda Halom:

I like watercolors, but find them more difficult than oils or just about any other form of painting/drawing. Someday (Hahaha – the big “Someday”) I’ll have to learn how to paint them.
Have a great day everyone! 😉

Khartoum Emerges As Place To Watch After Pompeo Visit
By BENNY AVNI, Special to the New York Sun | August 25, 2020

Ignore the political noise accompanying Secretary of State Pompeo’s Mideast trip. Watch Khartoum instead.

The Sudanese capital is the most intriguing leg of Mr. Pompeo’s swing through the region. The press will focus on legal niceties involving an address to the Republican convention, recorded Monday on the roof of Jerusalem’s King David hotel. Yet, by making, on Tuesday, the first known direct flight from Israel to Sudan, once one of the most rogue of rogue states, Mr. Pompeo may well culminate a diplomatic coup.
