Or rather, Biden’s handlers told him who would be his running mate. Guess Susan Rice is out of the running because she may be under indictment in the near future (at least I hope so.)
A few reminders about Kamala:
1. Kamala Harris was born in California, but both her parents were immigrants. Her mother is from India, and her father is from Jamaica. Calling her an “African American” is a real stretch.
2. Kamala’s parents divorced when she was age 7, and she lived with her mother in Montreal, Quebec until she graduated from high school. She returned to the US to attend college (Howard University) and law school (University of California.)
3. Although Harris endorsed Biden’s Presidential candidacy, she characterized him as upholding racist politicians and policies just a few months ago.
4. Harris is married to a white lawyer, Douglas Emhoff. Married in 2014, she is stepmother to his two children.
James Clyburn selected Harris for Biden, and I’m sure that the Obama/Jarrett wing of the party is pleased.

For what it’s worth:
As I arrived at my primary doc’s office this morning in the city of Damascus (in Clackamas County, east of Portland) I saw the great TRUMP bumper stickers on the truck next to my parking spot. I was a little early and was going to wait until the owner came out – and then realized he was sitting in the driver’s seat, waiting on his wife (no one except the patient is allowed in the building). So I walked around to his window and we had a great visit.
We said things to each other that normal Americans know and remember and think about – he was very open and generous in expression, dismayed at the chaos, and wondered aloud what on earth has happened to democrat brains. some of whom he said he had thought were sort of normal people.
I made a light comment about something I saw the other day – just a bit of speculation that, considering how they have overplayed their hand, it might be just barely possible that Oregon could go red this year. He smiled big and said, “Wouldn’t that be something!!”
We said goodbye, and he thanked me for my comments. It was good conversation.

This is all just so bizarre. Everything the Demoncraps are doing is opposite of what they should be doing if they really want to win. This gives me the creeps.
