    Stella’s train on the bridge photo reminds me of my second favorite book as a child: Benjie Engie, when the two trains traveling opposite directions tried to push each other out of the way. FWIW: My favorite book as a a child as “Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel” (bonus points if you know the name of his steam shovel without looking it up!).

    Good morning all. Three good days here early in the week with temps only exped in the high eighties, then we go back up again.

    If all goes as planned, surgery is tomorrow morning. As always, I appreciate prayers, and thank you for remembering me so far in this time. I will let Stella and Wee and Pud know how things go.

    Let’s take a recipe break. Found a new version on my beloved tomato pie recipe. This one with corn. Looks so delicious. Tomato pie in the summer is one of the best treats ever. If you cook one I have two tips. Don’t care what the recipe says, us half cheddar and half Gouda cheese, and seed the tomatoes. Only thing hard about this is that the tomatoes tend to make too much liquid, so seed and drain them well. Okay third, old toy of fresh basil is good too. I have basil I’ve grown this year, but can’t get up and cook.

      Looks great, think I’ll try it using Roma tomatoes. They’re not only cheaper but are meatier and not as juicy as the ‘baseball’ type of toms. Usually the toms are picked/shipped unripe and ripened off-vine to make shipping easier, also ain’t unusual for growers to flood their fields just before harvest as toms will absorb more water and increase their sale weight.

      How about smoked cheddar and smoked Gouda? I’m thinking garlic…

    I’ve been saying that Biden and the Rats have been running his campaign underground, addressing each separate group with a message tailored to that group. The MSM isn’t covering it, they’re making it seem as if he’s cowering in his basement while Trump wows the masses, the media knows that if the stuff he and his co-conspirators are doing gets out the tide will start to shift.

    Youtube’s already taken down one video of Biden addressing his Moslem jihadists…whoops, a bit pejorative there…but this one’s still up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RravqCAhby4. Note that right off the bat he says we should teach more about Islam in our schools but, hidden right after that, is his statement that we all come from the same base AND launches into telling the Moslem viewers that we’re group-identifying as ‘confessional religions’.

    Now, if I were a Jewish viewer (one reason this video isn’t on the nightly MSM news) I’d stop short as hell…he’s saying we’re all ‘confessional’ religion members? For those who don’t grasp that it’s a code word for Christians, and Biden expanded it to Moslems. That specifically eliminates Jews, Biden by his use of the ‘confessional’ word included Moslems (his target audience) with Christians while specifically excluding Jews. Were I a Jew, practicing or otherwise capable of being labeled as such, I’d be worried, Biden just threw my toches to the Moslems, one of the Rat’s largest and oldest groups has just been sold out to their mortal enemies by those whom the Final Solution torch was passed in 1945.

    There are Jewish Rat apologists who’ll say that this ain’t so but Biden’s speeches to targeted groups are carefully written by writers skilled in getting the message across. Again, were I Jewish, I’d be really worried about the Rats’ plans for me if they win.

      I agree we should teach more about Islam in schools.
      Islam unleashed a wave of conquest in the world unmatched by any other civilization. From the Saudi Arabian Peninsula to a couple of days ride from Paris between 632 & 732, Christian lands all the way. During the same time span they conquered 1/2 the Byzantine Empire includes the Christian & Jewish Holy Land, toppled the Ancient Persian Empire, took half of India, and a chunk of China during the same time span.
      Any lands taken during Jihad are Islamic land forever, even if they no longer control that land. For example, most of the Iberian Peninsula and about 1/3 of France. These are known as “Occupied Territory” on their own maps. There is no provision in Islam for any land taken during Jihad ever reverting to the control of the former Infidel owners.

        Re Islam-“owned” land via Jihad…I wonder if that includes stealth Jihad as is practiced here in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., or anywhere a Muslim has set his foot and established a Muslim household? Londonistan has no-go occupied zones where Brit rule is virtually non-existent. Minnesota is well on its way to that goal, also.

          According to the Koran, the world belongs to Allah and it is theirs for the taking. When the Moslems captured Jerusalem on the initial invasion, the Priest at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre asked the Islamic Caliph to pray with him. The Caliph said he would only pray on the porch or entryway to the church otherwise his followers would claim the whole church as holy ground.
          That is the reason the porch of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is Islamic and the rest is Christian.
          After some digression, I will say YES.

          Bonus: An Infidel woman is converted to Islam upon penetration during a rape. That is if they want her as a sex-slave or wife.

            I first think of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem coming to Berlin to have Hitler help him set up death camps for Mideast Jews. Hitler had other things/problems on his mind and wanted the Mufti to use the Arab armies to help relieve the pressure on the Wehrmacht first.
            The Mufti’s machinations came to naught but after the 3rd Reich fell he was instrumental in having hardcore Nazis interested in continuing the Final Solution imported into Mideastern countries to assist his postwar efforts in killing Jews. Islam is what Islam is.

              That would make a nice, neat lesson too. I would add how the Allied leaders lacked the intestinal fortitude to arrest the Grand Mufti and charge him with war crimes.

              Did you ever hear anything about “pillow talk” going on between Hiler & Husseini?

                There’s a number of versions, all claiming to be ‘the’ version, of their tête-à-tête, but the issue of the death camps and Hitler being more interested in the Arab armies is generally undisputed. As a treat Hitler did have death wagons following Rommel.
                Yep, let’s teach more about Islam in school.

                    About the only thing they had in common was their hatred of Jews but Hitler needed the Arabs to take the heat off of his armies in the Mideast and Balkans and the Mufti wanted to fight the Brits and kill the Jews – not necessarily in that order.

    Evenin’ all ya’all! Very bright sun today with 10% chance of rain for the next few days. We need to dry out after so many days of just enough rain every day to keep us soggy. Humidity was 41% !!!
