We can’t fight evil on our own. Today prayer is needed.
Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Had this overwhelming feeling to go over to the Treehouse 1st thing this morning. Just spent over an hour reading over there (saw yours as above – very good idea to add the visual to the prayers. Men especially are visual).
Got down on my knees and prayed.
Some of his distress: I noticed the time of his comments, and no restaurant open so maybe lack of food and sleep could also be factors. Also a factor is seeing and feeling that type of place for the first time it is a shock to the system. A shock of not just an unexpectedly vacant and dark physical place, but evil can be a real palpable thing at times, and the physical darkness adds to that.
I just prayed that those were the reasons for his distress, and NOT (Please Dear God) a negative reaction to what he is proposing to the people there in DC.
Having Treepers/Stellars set up IN ADVANCE in each locale just in case food etc is needed, I think is a good idea. When I was going to drive to Dallas from NH, I notified relatives, and had stops along the way at varied relatives houses, just in case.

I read Sundance’s post last night right after I got in bed. I don’t usually do that. It kept me awake and I used the time until I finally fell asleep after about an hour or so, to pray for wisdom, strength, and help for Sundance and for myself and all of us here.

These verses are such a great “visual”…visualize putting on each piece of a warrior’s armor. Those of us who haven’t been in battle or even in the military may not be as familiar with a piece of equipment’s specific purpose. Look at the uniform of a modern warrior…
However, God is telling us that spiritual warfare is every bit as real as physical warfare; and we need to know why to put on each piece of spiritual armor.
A great warrior in battle relies on many things…his equipment, his training and practice, his muscle memory, his sight and the faith he places in his abilities in order to stay alive. Over-all battle plans may fail spectacularly but an individual does not have to fail along with them. I think often of David Bellavia and the incredible feats of courage and expertise he exhibited in order to defend his men during a specific battle in Iraq. Everything positive kicked in to accomplish his goal. I’m simply in awe of what he did.
When we see today the utter depravity of those on the streets who are guided by the Evil One, it can be shocking. But it can also be visualized as our call to action against all that the depraved are attempting. They don’t care anything about standing on the Godly principles of love and compassion, of decency and righteousness and certainly not of truth. They use their swords for terror, for destruction, for creating desolation.
Most of us can’t become physically involved, but we certainly can pray. We can have the passion of a warrior in asking God’s protection, His mercy, His kindness, and for His truth to become a part of our daily thinking…much like that muscle memory which warriors and athletes rely upon.
Our cry may be, “I don’t know how to pray effectively!” God the Father has provided for that, too. Look at these verses in the Book of Romans, chapter 8…https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+8%3A26-27&version=TPT — In essence, if we don’t know what to ask, well, simply say that. Then the Holy Spirit interprets our desires and prays in our stead. How totally awesome is that!
So the battle has come to us. May God have mercy and give us the victory!

I once confided to my priest that I was having great trouble in prayer, especially to the Father. He impressed me so much with his instant reply, no hesitation or doubt. He told me to offer my prayers to the Holy Spirit who would perfect and present them with great love to God the Father.

Remember “Paraclete” which means our Advocate with the Father. The Holy Spirit is also called the “Comforter.” He speaks on our behalf plus comforts and encourages us with words of love and consolation.

Yup – just as Lucille said.
I am known by my close friends as a big “fan” of the Holy Spirit. Others have a favorite saint, I love the Holy Spirit.
I was going to say I “believe”, but that’s not right, I KNOW the Holy Spirit is REAL, and can have a great impact in a person’s life.
There are novenas to the Holy Ghost/Spirit on EWTN’s website. I’ll have to look for a little booklet I had that I read when I was seriously ill and waiting for surgery. I hope I can find it to tell you about it.
In the meantime this short prayer is one of my favorites:
Come Holy Ghost :
Come, Holy Ghost, fill the hearts of Thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of Thy love.
V. Send forth Thy Spirit, and they shall be created;
R. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

Encyclical of Pope Leo XIII on the Holy Spirit, 9 May 1897 Section 11:
We ought to pray to and invoke the Holy Spirit, for each one of us greatly needs His protection and His help.
The more a man is deficient in wisdom, weak in strength, BORNE DOWN WITH TROUBLE, prone to sin, so ought he the more to fly to Him who is the NEVER-CEASING FOUNT OF LIGHT, STRENGTH, CONSOLATION, AND HOLINESS.
And chiefly that first requisite of man, the forgiveness of sins, must be sought for from Him: “It is the special character of the Holy Ghost that He is the Gift of the Father and the Son. Now the remission of all sins is given by the Holy Ghost as by the Gift of God.” Concerning this Spirit the words of the Liturgy are very explicit: “For He is the remission of all sins.”
Nor can it be in any way doubted that He will listen to such prayer, since we read the words written by His own inspiration: “The Spirit Himself asks for us with unspeakable groanings” (Rom. viii., 26).
Lastly, we ought confidently and continually to beg of Him to illuminate us daily more and more with His light and inflame us with His charity: for, thus inspired with faith and love, we may press onward earnestly towards our eternal reward, since He “is the pledge of our inheritance” (Eph. i. 14).
