Good morning guys, and thanks for asking about me, and especially your prayers. Jeans, saw your comment and appreciate it!

I had the first of two surgeries yesterday, although I thought I was just in for an office visit, they sent me over to the hospital. The surgeon put an external device on it that I think is screwed into the bone. It holds the bone and joint in place until the swelling, bruising, and blistering go down enough to let them go in and do the actual repairs.

I have breaks in the big bone and a broken heel too, as well as whatever is going on with the ligaments.i expect I’ll get more info from the surgeon next week, since he actually saw what was going on inside the joint during last night’s surgery.

He is just an awesome guy, I am so fortunate to have wound up in his care. Lots of other blessings too, stories for another day when I am more cognizant.

Your care and prayers mean so much. Please know that you are all part of the blessings I am thinking God for right now.

Did they finally give you enough pain medication in the event that you need it? Remember – try to stay ahead of the pain…

Yes, I have a new prescription which the drug store just refused to give my husband until tomorrow because the insurance company says so. 🧐

I hate health insurance companies. Bureaucratic pencil pushers and number crunchers who know SQUAT about health care, driving health care.

Glad you got some care, but how are you feeling? Do you still have a cast?

Thanks Stella. Feeling a lot better this morning. Immediately after surgery was pretty rough. No cast, I have some padding and that thingy screwed in. Wee called it a halo device, my husband called it a tripod I think. Looks kinda like a roof truss to me.😀

Hopefully the most severe pain is gone until after the next surgery, which the doc says will lead to some strong pain for awhile. Getting the bone back in the joint helped me so much.

I’m glad you are receiving effective support from qualified peeps….how good that you got connected with that particular surgeon. So many intricate things in our bodies, and that becomes more obvious when things go wrong or there is injury.

Take best care of yourself today – I hope you are able to have the restorative rest that you need in the healing process.

      Here’s a hug – ( )

This is from the left, but I would consider the operation a feature, and not a bug, as these lefties do. A little cleanup in Portlandia.

This article is one of the better ones that I have seen regarding this subject. My opinions:

        1. Police use unmarked vehicles all of the time.
        2. They have “Police” on the front of their uniforms and patches on the sleeves.
        3. The guy that is shown in the one video that is popular on Twitter doesn’t resist arrest and isn’t handcuffed as he is led to a van. Some have speculated that he may have been an “asset” being removed from the scene rather than a detainee. I don’t know.
        4. Federal agents are protecting Federal property.

Some of my more “liberal” friends are throwing out gestapo, stormtrooper, blah, blah, blah. No regard for the Rule of Law. These are all “peaceful”protesters. What sacares me is what would it look like if it were a “destructive” protester? :/

        CBP response:

Statement on CBP Response in Portland, Oregon
        Release Date:
        July 17, 2020

“While the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) respects every American’s right to protest peacefully, violence and civil unrest will not be tolerated. Violent anarchists have organized events in Portland over the last several weeks with willful intent to damage and destroy federal property, as well as injure federal officers and agents. These criminal actions will not be tolerated.

CBP agents had information indicating the person in the video was suspected of assaults against federal agents or destruction of federal property. Once CBP agents approached the suspect, a large and violent mob moved towards their location. For everyone’s safety, CBP agents quickly moved the suspect to a safer location for further questioning. The CBP agents identified themselves and were wearing CBP insignia during the encounter. The names of the agents were not displayed due to recent doxing incidents against law enforcement personnel who serve and protect our country.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its components will continue to work tirelessly to reestablish law and order. The Federal Protective Service (FPS) is the lead government agency that CBP personnel are supporting. CBP personnel have been deployed to Portland in direct support of the Presidential Executive Order and the newly established DHS Protecting American Communities Task Force (PACT). CBP law enforcement personnel have been trained and cross designated under FPS legal authority 40 U.S.C. § 1315.”

Probably too obtuse a statement for her tiny brain…. I’d say something more like “h*ll no, and get outta my face before I call my Republican neighbors to tell them you are bothering me!”

    Seen on Facebook:

President Trump’s niece claims that she heard Donald use antisemitic slurs.

Joe Biden was complicit in the release of $150 billion to the holocaust denying, terror supporting Iranians, but Donald Trump used antisemitic slurs.

2/3 of congressional Jewish Democrats voted to release that money to the Iranians but Trump used antisemitic slurs.

Not one Democrat, Jewish or non attended President Trump’s opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem, but Donald trump said something not nice about Jews.

80% of American Jewry voted not once, but twice for Obama who saw to it that a UN resolution passed criminalizing the Jewish presence in Jerusalem and maintained a twenty year friendship with Jew hater Jeremiah Wright, but Donald Trump said something antisemitic.

Bernie Sanders slanders the Israel Defense Forces and supports singling out Israel for boycotts, but Donald Trump said something anti Semitic.

Donald Trump imposed crippling sanctions on the Iranian regime but Donald Trump’s niece said he doesn’t like Jews.

Donald Trump’s daughter is Jewish, but he doesn’t like Jews.

New York’s Democrat mayor De Blasio oversaw a 200% rise in antisemitic incidents and painted the name of an anti Semitic organization (BLM) on the asphalt of fifth avenue standing next to known anti-Semite Al Sharpton, but Donald Trump’s niece said that the president said bad things about Jews.

President Trump deported the last known nazi war criminal from US soil, but now you have a great excuse to vote for Joe Biden in November… because Donald Trump said something, maybe.”

    Alex adds:

“Obama ascribed opposition to his Iran policy to “donors,” “lobbyists,” and “outside influences,” but Donald Trump said something mean.

Several Democratic candidates favored taking money from Israel and giving it to Hamas, an organization whose goals include exterminating Jews everywhere, but Donald Trump may have used a slur.”
