I put this in later yesterday ’cause I forgot in the morning. He mostly did paint portraits, but they were destroyed. I would have loved to have seen not just them, but especially the religious murals.

Take care in that heat. It’s been, and will continue to run, about 90 degrees up here, which is over normal, but bearable as long as the humidity does not get high. I could NEVER live where you do. I would literally be dead in days. I don’t know how you do it.

Oh Thank you Lucille! It’s sometimes difficult to find a painting of an artist. It is especially nice to see such a nice painting of him since most of his paintings were destroyed.

Sure, If I have any luck! I’m really pretty much a techno-dunce, and get stuff mostly by accident. And I know what you mean about trying to get a dog picture: most of mine have the dog’s nose stuck to the camera lens.

LOL Exactly! That is the problem. And, as soon as she sees the phone pointing at her, her ears go down. She has really pretty ears. I just got a fairly decent one. Sent. Hope it was the right number.

Good day to you, aus! Loki is an adorable girl. Glad Czarina was able to post her photo for you. I was envisioning her as white and tan for some reason, more in the traditional Jack Russell mode. Wonder what her DNA would show her mix to be.

On the paperwork it said she is a Parson Russ terrior mix. I am not sure where we came up with Jack Russel terrior. I think she looks like she had Yorkshire Terrior in her.

I looked up Rat Terrier and that is more what she looks like. She has a long pointy nose and big ears. I don’t know where they got Parson Russ. 🙄

DH just finished ours last night, & is about to go stand in line at the post office to mail them. Hopefully the line will not extend outside so he can be in the A/C! I’m hopeless with them, even with having to take a full semester tax accounting class in college! As far as the prof was concerned the laws were so confusing they could be interpreted multiple ways, so as long as we defended our position and did the math right, we passed.

She is darling, and I love her ears and toes! It looks a little blurry, like she was getting ready to run off! I imagine she has a short attention span when she isn’t lying next to you.

Yes, it is hard to catch her being still unless she is curled up asleep. She isn’t shaky like a chihuahua, but she does move a lot for an old girl.

I have always had a thing for pretty hatboxes. About 30 years ago I found one in Goodwill that I could afford. When I moved down here 10 yrs ago I found a store that had lots of them cheap, and the ones I bought were between $5 and $10. I got one every time I went in there. LOL I finally had to say “no” to myself.
My little doggie is a real sweetie.

Seeing hat boxes brings back memories of shopping for hats to wear to church….or just for wearing out when you shopped for other hats. The big department stores would give a free round hatbox with each purchase. I still have a couple of hats, quite out of style, from the 60s and 70s which I simply can’t throw out, though I haven’t worn them for 40 years. Oh my, now tears are flowing with nostalgia for some pretty wonderful years.

Here is an old prayer I learned a long time ago, it was the prayer of an old, old lady who lived at the edge of the Superior State Forest as long as anyone could remember, she was going to face a judge over some sort of civil matter when she recited the prayer for the person who taught it to me. I hope it blesses you Sundance.
Spirit of the living God, that dwells within me, go before me, light the way and open every door. Holy Spirit tell me just what to say.
When I begin to this prayer I think of the living God as galaxys of stars and I imagine them swirling within me like a tornado, “Spirit of the living God, that dwells with in me.”
I swirl them faster and faster till finally I throw my arms out in front of me and say – “GO before me, light the way and open every door.” (you can send the Spirit anywhere you wish, or need to). Then after a few moments to calm I ask, “Holy Spirit tell me just what to say”.

State of Louisiana keeps running this commercial praising the state for its COVID response, how it’s the ‘model’ for responsive and effective suppression of the virus. Meanwhile the state’s returned to its position as one of the most infected spots in the world.
Don’t know how the state keeps on running them except to try and ‘praise’ the people into doing what they need to do but if the fear of infection won’t convince them what makes the state think telling them they’re OK will?
This spike occurred just as soon as the state allowed the bars to open, it was immediately back to Louisiana business as usual. Folks just couldn’t resist the chance to PAR-TAY and get in each others’ faces. State’s closed the stand-alone bars and bars in restaurants and after a few weeks working the staffs are back on the streets.

A new study just completed by Tulane University shows that ythe Coronavirus particles can stay suspended and infectious for some 16 hours in an ideal environment. WHO, who’s been poo-pooing the idea without really studying it is still not answering the study and the CDC says it will review the study and revise its recommendations.

Looks like President Trump may commute Roger Stone’s sentence. Some are reporting on Twitter that he already has, but I’m waiting for firm confirmation.

Apparently today a Washington DC appeals court denied an emergency request from Roger Stone to delay the start of his 40-month prison term, which would explain the timing.

Heavy thunderstorms came through. Sewer backed up again into my basement. I have at least a foot down there and my furnace and water heater are probably trashed again. At least I have insurance this time, but a $1,000 deductible.
