Yeah, saw the WP article. We’re right back to where we were at the 2016 election if Roberts of Ginsburg has to step down, whoever wins in November will get to appoint two. Then again it’s sorta mootish as the Rat aristocracy has already announced its plans to add 3 more seats to the court.

Good afternoon, WeeWeed! Is the article about CJ Roberts? I can’t open the link as my computer says it may be a compromised site with folks trying to steal private information. Looks like Apple knows something we only suspect about the AP…LOL!

Yes! He’s been having seizures, falling, etc. Little young for that at 65, sez I. Afternoon Lucy!

What’s wrong with Roberts?
A couple of possibilities come to mind:
1. Roberts may be a Deep State sleeper agent. When he voted to allow 0bamacare stand because it was a tax; knowing full well 0bamacare originated in the Senate and all taxes must originate in the House, my first thought was Deep State.
2. The Deep State has something on him and threatens to reveal it if doesn’t vote their way. I have seen this in a couple of other incidents not connected with Roberts.

Mornin’ Lucille, Wee, and everyone (when you show up). 🙂
Yesterday, I went with my friend to see our financial advisor and I didn’t want to leave Loki by herself. He was very happy for her to come in the office and run loose. She wanted to stay in my lap, of course. She was very quiet and not a problem.
I had her in a cat carrier and we were going to stop for lunch. My friend said to just walk in with the carrier like I owned the place. I am not good at that, but it worked. Loki took a nap while we had lunch and nobody even knew she was there. LOL I am glad she doesn’t respond in any way to t-storms because we had a terrible one while we were in the restaurant. I think one of the few problems I will have with her is that she seems to have separation anxiety pretty badly. Maybe that will go away when she is totally comfortable. I can’t be here all the time.

Terriers, and Jack Russells are right uptop, bond tightly with owners and are really separation anxiety prone. If one who’s bonded with an owner is dumped at the pound then you can expect that abandonment to figure in too.
Have you bought a cage for her? A appointed cage helps, it’s a place of security and comfortably appointed will help keep her calm during those times when you can’t be with her. It will also help limit her potential for destructive behavior when you’re away from her. You can train her to use specific chew toys to let off steam and put a few in her cage when she needs to be confined.
Obedience training helps too, it gives her structure and focus and that will help calm her. And no ‘rewarding’ her frantic attention-getting behaviors, that will only make her think the negative behaviors in your absence are appropriate. Ditto any punishment for destructive behaviors after the fact, they just don’t ‘get it’.
Our terrierista displays all of the separation behaviors, she wants to be in your lap as much ass she can, but we’re lucky as she came as a puppy and the old shepherd took her under her wing so when we’re gone she has the old dog and BD to keep her calm. Probably not a good idea to try and introduce a 2nd dog in your case but if it comes to it…

You are right about the bonding. She has firmly attached herself to me. She seems to be lying here near me sound asleep and if I stand up she is up and ready to go. LOL She did pretty good in the crate while I was gone, I think.

If she has comfortable bedding, something that smells like you and some chew toy to help relieve stress she should take to the crate. Dogs are den dwellers and they’re genetically inclined to a crate/den, our pit bull used to go to his to relieve the stress of interacting with the other dogs.

Do you have a crate for her so that she can at least be confined when you can’t be there? Maybe ask you vet what you can do for the separation anxiety too.

Yes, I have a crate. It is a wire one. I left her in it and she didn’t make any noise before I left. When I got home, she was quiet. However, she did pee a little bit. I think it was when I came up the stairs. Still, it looks like we can make this work. I had expected her to be hysterical. Luckily, the cover on the bed I put in the crate was thick and so very little got on the stuffing. And, I took the cover off and washed it.

Good afternoon, aus! Loki is adjusting. The crate is perfect. If you haven’t already, next time just put a diaper mat in with her.
My Shih Tzu, Harley, had horrific separation anxiety. That was one of the reasons his owners gave him up. We figured since Mom was home most of the time it wouldn’t be a problem. Came the weekend we went to church only to come home to a trashed kitchen where we’d closed him in. He even got up on the bar and knocked everything off. We had slatted half doors on both exits from the kitchen and he’d broken through the one into the living room and met us at the door. THEN we got a crate. Even so, we could still hear him screaming when we were driving away.
Luckily, Harley loved all other animals. So we got him a kitten named Bob. The separation anxiety stopped after that, and they became great pals.

I have a wire crate with a padded bed too (cover is waterproof.)
Tucker actually sleeps in his crate at night with the door closed. When it is bed time I tell him to go to bed and he knows to go into his crate and settle. I usually put him to bed right after his last trip outside and I have given him a cookie!
He howls when I leave the house, but settles after a bit. I think that’s because I rarely go away (since I no longer go away to work) and I didn’t train him to be without me when he was a puppy. When I had Stella I did train her, and only confined her to the kitchen during the day and she did just fine, except for the time that she turned on the kitchen gas burner with her paws; it was an accident, of course, and a good thing that it lit rather than blowing up the house. I had to take the knobs off the front of the stove for many months!

When I checked into Yahoo today before checking my emails, I noted a lead article they are promoting about one of President Trump’s nieces, Mary Trump, having written a scathing book about her uncle, saying he’s a sociopath. I assume this is only the tip of the iceberg re tell-all books since the left is pulling out all the stops.
Personally I don’t care if he is a sociopath or not, though I don’t believe he is one. So far I’ve agreed with just about every policy he’s put forward and the alternative candidate is absolutely not up to the job. Saving America apparently isn’t something Mary wants.

Rush opened his show yesterday with a discussion of the niece’s book. Worth looking for, it’s about 15 minutes long.

Thanks, Tundra. Excellent read. Apparently one of the BIG revelations of the book is President Trump was an abused child and that warped him, made him have no compassion or love for others. Yet we know of countless times in which he helped people behind the scenes and we only hear about it from the people themselves. He doesn’t trumpet it.
You know, long before I ever listened to Rush, I started reading his transcripts. I’d just run off a bunch of segments at work and take them home. This was when I was a Democrat and was supposed to hate Rush and conservative thought. Reading Rush first was beneficial. Perhaps if I’d listened to him first and not being used to his hearing the way his sense of humor plays out, I’d have turned him off and not bothered to read him.
During the 2016 Trump campaign, Rush seemed discombobulated and I couldn’t listen to him without annoyance. Once Trump was the nominee, though, Rush was onboard. Now I listen to him occasionally. However, he certainly played a part in my conversion from Dem to Independent and finally Conservative Republican.

Rush never favors a Republican candidate until the official nominee is selected. He says he doesn’t want to influence anyone choice for their candidate.

Personally, I think it is because he does not want to be wrong and drop below his 99.9% accuracy standard.

He seemed to be very on board for Ted Cruz until Trump got the nomination. I couldn’t listen to Rush for the last part of the primary process because of it. Same with Mark Levin and Glenn Beck.

I wasn’t able to listen to Rush for most of the 2016 primary season. I was basing my comment on 2000, 2004, 2008, & 2012.
He had claimed that Hillary would not be the candidate in 2008 & I was ready to remind him of his prediction. What do you know, she wasn’t.

Then Biden’s sorry arse should not be protected by the police. Personally I would take security away from the lot of them. This includes not only those paid by the US Govt, but also anyone they could hire.

Unplugging their brains is a non-starter. That bunch does not even have a nerve mass which could function as a brain should an emergency arise.
