    Out of curiosity I looked up the latest COVID infection and death rates this morning. So far Chins, with over 4 times the US population, is reporting a total of 83,531 infections and 4634 deaths opposed to the US’s 2,640,000 infections and 128,000 deaths. OK, they may be under reporting but it still pushes the issue closer to the ‘suspicious’ line.

    Reason I checked was that the Chinese government just announced they had two new COVID vaccines ready for use/trials. Both were developed by one firm but one, the latest announced, was jointly developed by this firm AND the Chinese Army’s Academy of Military Science where ‘defensive’ biological warfare products are developed. That squeaking sound you might hear is this virus issue getting pushed closer to that ‘suspicious’ line.

    The new vaccine developed with the Army’s help is approved for a one year trial, being administered to the Chinese military (no word if the vaccination will be voluntary) and the vaccine will be strictly limited to military use, no civilian or foreign use will be allowed for the foreseeable future.

    Here we have a disease that started under suspicious circumstances in China and in record time traveled to every corner of the US. Not only our major cities get hit but even the depths of our most rural counties are infected in times that surprised many a biowar modeler. China, with a large rural population itself, the Ground Zero for the entire worldwide infection, gets its infection spread under control in record time, is the first one to decode the virus’s genome, develops three vaccines…there’s that squeaking sound again.

          I thought the same thing. Back somewhere around 1990, give or take a few, my husband spent several months on Staten Island. On one visit home, probably the first one, he told us that very old ladies will tell you to go eff yourself up there in a, well, shall I say a New York heartbeat?

          He was kind of shocked at first, but quite inclined to honk the horn, shoot a bird, and yell an obscenities by the time he left. All habits he quickly got control of back home because, well, home, and some fine young man would have shot him.

      Excellent commentary. It’s as difficult to listen to the Anti-Trumpers as it’s ever been. It is especially so when they trot out disinformation like “There were good people on both sides” referencing what President Trump said, without including his sentence of condemnation of those whites who encouraged violence because of their racism. SO IRRITATING!

    Just received my DeskCycle, and pedaled for about 10 minutes. My answer to exercise while sitting on the sofa and looking at the computer. Doesn’t bother my knees, which I am happy about.

    When I read this article, I was wondering why Biden’s wife, Jill, continues to campaign with him knowing he’s not up to the job but instead demand that he forego running for the office. My only conclusion is that she’s in on the ruse. She knows he won’t be the candidate as the DNC has assured her there’s a Plan B for getting him off center stage. Either that or she doesn’t care for him, let alone love him. I still think it will be Hillary again.

          Michelle is living very well right now off the gazillions she’s making on her bio. Being back in the White House doesn’t seem anything she’s interested in and campaigning would call for a lot of effort. Joey is saying he doesn’t plan to hold rallies, which would likely mean Michelle would have to pick up the slack.

          I think the Dems should just go all out and nominate women for both positions, one black and one white. That way they could accuse the country of being both racist and sexist when the duo loses on November 3rd.

    Hi, this is facebkwallflower, now going as fbwallflower. After giving up on wordpress when password quit working and resets never making it to my email, I finally just set up a whole new identity. I am surprized how hard it was to do and still cannotget gravatar to keep mine with my name. Oh well.

    Living in Indiana, we are on our way to bouncing back. Been back at work for couple of months. Our local liberal government is trying to undermine the State moving forward by issuing a “mandate” to wear masks in public. Me, of course, busied myself around the county gov website with the posted “mandate” and found this in the FAQ section.

    “Will local law enforcement be enforcing the Order?
    Answer: No. Actions that contradict this Order do not create grounds for residents or law enforcement to stop, detain, issue a citation, arrest, intimidate, or harass individuals that do not comply with this Order. The mandate’s goal is to protect the public health by increasing the use of masks. The Order will be supported through education and public awareness. Individuals who do not feel comfortable in any setting should leave that setting. If you feel uncomfortable while conducting business, you may choose to speak with the manager to express your concerns. If you see someone without a face covering, assume they have a valid reason for not wearing one and increase your distance from that person. The most loving thing you can do for your community is to take care of yourself by wearing a face covering when out in public. We are all in this together.”
