Well our irises done bloomed, waiting for the seed pods to dry so that we can expand the crop. Fun thing is waiting for the seeded plants to bloom to see what their flowers look like.
At Bayou Segnette across the river and west of NOLA they have a huge prairie of Louisiana irises. They’re huge to, much taller than the more domesticated ones but then the soil’s so much more fertile. If you can get in when they’re blooming it looks like a sea of purple stretching off into the horizon.

Morning Czar, you guys should post some photos of your flowers are sure they would be beautiful to see 🙂 !

Irises are gone now, they have a narrow spring window. There are only about 20 or so of them now, we just started planting them in the slough that drains the house to the lake. We figured they would help slow the flow, they love the wet and they provide some color.
Y’all jes re-minded me, gotta check and see when the arboretum’s spring sale that was postponed due to the virus will be held. They had more potted wild irises I wanted.

Our local plant sale has been canceled.
Farmers market had lots of live plans.

We’re getting into our bearded irisis up in OK…a magnificent flower…
And I’ve been fortunate to have some of them in a vase on my fireplace mantle….
But alas, they have wilted.

In Utah they called them “blue flags”. People had whole gardens of them.

Our Louisiana iris are less showy but they serve a decorative as well as visual purpose. Thing about the Louisiana irises is how they look in a clump though only for a few days in the spring.

No fresh cut flowers at all, the vendors were a much smaller number than usual, I think next week there will be a lot more vendors, this was kind of a test run.
Lot’s of live flowers.
And my friend (vendor) had fresh Daffodils as a display and gave me some so I can’t complain 🙂 .
Plus I met this little guy !

You have an eye for framing, lovely. My daughter has it too. I do not – which is why I admire the trait in others.

Thank you Stella, and it is a natural eye, I took a photography class in high school and the teacher asked if I thought about my framing and I was like “No, not really I just take the picture.”
Of course with being able to take 350 pictures on a single walk it is easy to capture good photos.

It makes me so angry that Hydroxychloroquine is being pushed to the side and disparaged by the MSM, CDC, and WHO when we ALL know it works.

Mornin’ Wee. My friend has been insisting that she has been watching horse racing LIVE! I keep telling her it isn’t happening, but she insists. I wonder what it is she is seeing?

Good morning, aus! Stayed up until 4:00 AM watching the newly posted episodes of MIDSOMER MURDERS. Another gruesome season to delight fans. Nearly finished off a whole bag of shelled pistachios.

Good morning Stella and Stellar’s, part of the silver lining of this BS is finding new music, how have I gone my entire life without knowing of JJ Grey and Mofro?
I think “Hallelujah” is one of the most beautiful words in the English language.
