    Today’s stats from Louisiana:
    17,0930 cases reported with 652 deaths
    Of those deaths 70% were black, 29% white. Primary underlying conditions: hypertension-63%; diabetes-44%;obesity-25%;chronic kidney disease-25%

    Today’s stats from Mississippi;
    2,003 cases reported with 67 deaths
    Of those infected 56% are black and 37% white. 72% of the deaths are black and 28% white. Primary underlying conditions: for black deaths: (in top 4 orders of magnitude) cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, renal disease (beating out immunocompromised by a hair). For whites: cardiovascular, hypertension, lung disease, renal disease. No mention of obesity even though both states are in and out of the top 3 for being…fluffiest in the nation.

    Now the cat’s out of the bag repporting infections and deaths by race seems to be the ‘in’ thing.

      Oops, fat finger: Louisiana s/b 17,030 cases

      BTW, there are no %ages for Mississippi underlying causes as where La likes to use %ages Ms likes neat little bar charts.

        I noticed that minutes ago that NBC has picked up the ‘African Americans disproportionately affected’ mantra so we’ll soon see the focus change, the stats have gone ‘acceptable’ mainstream now so the focus can change.
