Good News!! (& happy stories), April 5, 2020

Coming soon to your neighborhood.

Good news from my neighborhood!

Isn’t that the truth?

Cute! I had a Norway rat as a pet for a while when I was in high school.

I don’t know about this one. I have read about using HEPA vacuum bags.

The Queen speaks!

Latest from New York.

Another possible drug to combat Coronavirus. This is the same drug (Ivermectin) that we give our dogs to prevent parasitic infection (like heartworm).

More “Good Dog” news!

I wonder how the cow feels?

Today begins the most important week in the Christian calendar. Although most of us will be at home, it isn’t the place that is important.

Charlie’s prayer.

All hail the power of Jesus’ name!

    • Hey bro…bet you and the wife are glad your not in NOLA central. I have immediate family out in Chateau Estates in Kenner. But they’re being pretty common sense smart about stuff.

Hope you and the wife are good.

      Blessings! 👍🙂

No but my wife is seeing COVID patients in Slidell and here in Ms so we’re still sorta in the crosshairs. They’re pretty good at putting her into full MOPP gear though and their post=patient decon’s really good.

        • Oh man, my fav nephew lives in a hanger in the Slidell airport.

Well, you guys stay safe and careful. From everything I’ve read of your comments here snd there, I know you are of good common sense about stuff.

Will certainly keep you and her in my prayers.

          🙏👍👍👍

I’ll be OK but my wife, who retired just short of 15 years ago, loves her field and has stayed in part time, she’s now right out there.

Slidell’s not as bad as NOLA or Baton Rouge and Slidell has two great hospitals that have partnered and one of those hospitals has assumed control to one degree or another of facilities from NOLA to Slidell to Mandeville, and Covington to the West and Bay St Louis, MS to the east, they’re ready and so far haven’t been pushed too far.

            • Well 🙏🙏🙏’s up for her!.

I didn’t know that about Slidell and that general area. Thx for the info. My great nephew prolly knows that, but I’ve not been able to talk to him for awhile. He’s 42, but way ahead of stupid curve…know what I mean Vern? 🤣

Now, if I could only walk through a Star Trek time and dimensional corridor…I would go load up on about 12 hot tamales from Manual’s stand on Canal Street…would prolly order a batch for you and the wife…okay, snapping my fingers, once, twice…uh oh, I’m thinkin’ this ain’t gonna work. Shucks darn! 🤣🤣🤣

Manual’s is a gawn pecawn, hawt, the S. Carrollton HQ got flooded by Katrina and dat wuz dat, ain’t dere no mo’.

Ochsner bought the Tenet hospital in Slidell, partnered with SMH and bought up/took over management of a lot of smaller facilities so the Ochsner brand is all over this plague, and with the hospitals they bought up in NOLA post-
K they gots the beds and people.

                • I know…that’s why I would use a time corridor…but shucks, darn anyway. Best tamales I ever had…right there in that corner in his white wagon. But that was in the day we had horse drawn carriages selling taffy and cotton candy in the Garden District off St. Charles Street. And the guy walking our neighborhood…I can hear his voice now…PEANUTS! PEANUTS! A nickel a bag. “dose were ‘da days!” 😉

I didn’t know about Ochsner buying tenet.

I remember goung to Ochsner’s for a super, serious job destroying sinus problem when I was 17….great as they were, after big money in bills, they told me to move to AZ…couldn’t do anything for me. Well heck, couldn’t do that, and today, Phoenix isn’t a best bet cuz there’s a whole lot more trees and greenery than there was in the 60s.

BTW, even Rockey & Carlos is closed and we firmly believe that wop salad and mac &cheese is probably a great treatment fo’ da VI-rus.

      • TY..and yes, blessing to all the Stellars.

Hate not being able to get on here more, but I do pray for all our friends here that God will protect every one in troubling days.

And having grown up in New Orleans, kinda concerned cuz I have immediate family there in the Kenner area, but they’re using common sense, being careful…and God will bless the rest!

        🙏🙏🙏🙂
