    MUNICH – Speaking to reporters during the Munich Security Conference Friday afternoon, a senior Trump administration official told reporters the Taliban has agreed to a seven day period of reduction in violence ahead of an official announcement about a peace agreement with the United States. That announcement will be made in the coming days and will prompt the beginning of the seven day period.

      Don’t think this will be any more binding than the truces we had with the NVA. The Taliban’s giving us the chance to back out with ‘honor’ and at the point where we’re sufficiently covered by the CYA agreement so that the inevitable splashback doesn’t get on our shoes they’ll be back in force.

      They held Afghanistan before 911 and they’ve successfully fought us for nearly 20 years – think about that, that’s our longest – and latest – unwon war.

      Also think about the huge wave of Afghani Moslem emigrants that will cause and where a whole load of them will petition the UN to settle? Who’ll have fingers pointed at them as being responsible for their plight, justb as the UN did with the flood of Moslem emigrants we were forced to eat under Obama. If Trump’s reelected he may be able to stop them for 4 years but after that all bets are off.

    There are Bernie folks begging #StillVotingYang (YangGang) to turn to Bernie because he and Yang are “similar”.

    It’s not going well for the Bernie flag bearers.

    Zero chance I’d vote for a backward HATE peddling campaign.

    I would’ve never guessed Yang is a communist also.

    Nah, I’m still voting Yang no matter what in the primary and there’s nothing you can do to stop me.

    Bernie is literally the opposite of Yang and now he’s stealing his talking points without giving him credit. I don’t support wage slavery, I don’t support ideas from 1917 that have failed. I don’t support leadership that uses hate as rhetoric.

    But I already voted Yang. Yesterday.
    Bernie just has bad ideas and pushes them without compromise. And a huge number of #Berners are toxic and the campaign denies it.

      I’m hearing more Bloomberg commercials on the radio and TV, Bloomberg’s sad he’s willing to spend $2-billion of his own money to win this and hasn’t said – but I’m betting he will – spend a billion nor two more to support Congressional candidates who’ll turn Congress Bloomberg Blue.

    OMG I just saw on FOX that Drudge (yeah, I know) is saying that Bloomberg is considering Hillery as his running mate. LOLOLOL He has a death wish, I guess.

      Don’t think so. He’s odd man out but Hillary still has her Rat inside contacts and there’s even more money behind her so between them they’re billions flush. Hillary’s a rich person with no designs on making bthe US a socialist country unless she can profit fro it, she’s not a reformer, she’s a a latter day Countess Bathory on a power and revenge trip. Think Stalin with PMS.

      I think Hillary would be a great running mate, they’re both psychotic Caligulas in the making, more emperors than presidents. And Hillary would jump at the chance, if she can’t be the first female President she could be first female vice (and Hillary knows vice) President. And then at some point Bloomberg may attend a party at a DC park, be driving thru a Little Rock intersection or even leaning over a hotel balcony waaaaaay up in the air and she could be 1st female Vice President, 1st female VP to succeed the 1st Jewish billionaire President and – 1st female president.

    What I Learned in the Peace Corps in Africa: Trump Is Right

    …The Ten Commandments were not disobeyed – they were unknown. The value system was the exact opposite. You were supposed to steal everything you can to give to your own relatives. There are some Westernized Africans who try to rebel against the system. They fail.

    We hear a lot about the kleptocratic elites of Africa. The kleptocracy extends through the whole society. My town had a medical clinic donated by international agencies. The medicine was stolen by the medical workers and sold to the local store. If you were sick and didn’t have money, drop dead. That was normal.

    So here in the States, when we discovered that my 98-year-old father’s Muslim health aide from Nigeria had stolen his clothes and wasn’t bathing him, I wasn’t surprised. It was familiar.

    In Senegal, corruption ruled, from top to bottom. Go to the post office, and the clerk would name an outrageous price for a stamp. After paying the bribe, you still didn’t know it if it would be mailed or thrown out. That was normal.

    One of my most vivid memories was from the clinic. One day, as the wait grew hotter in the 110-degree heat, an old woman two feet from the medical aides – who were chatting in the shade of a mango tree instead of working – collapsed to the ground. They turned their heads so as not to see her and kept talking. She lay there in the dirt. Callousness to the sick was normal.

    Americans think it is a universal human instinct to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. It’s not. It seems natural to us because we live in a Bible-based Judeo-Christian culture.

    We think the Protestant work ethic is universal. It’s not. My town was full of young men doing nothing. They were waiting for a government job. There was no private enterprise. Private business was not illegal, just impossible, given the nightmare of a third-world bureaucratic kleptocracy. It is also incompatible with Senegalese insistence on taking care of relatives…

    I couldn’t wait to get home. So why would I want to bring Africa here? Non-Westerners do not magically become American by arriving on our shores with a visa.

    For the rest of my life, I enjoyed the greatest gift of the Peace Corps: I love and treasure America more than ever. I take seriously my responsibility to defend our culture and our country and pass on the American heritage to the next generation.

      True dat, people who go all soft and syrupy over Africa have never been to AFRICA. We worked the First Congo War in 96-97, we were pressed to plan the extraction of NGO Americans thru Stanleyville and Kinshasa. The African ‘rebels’ were advancing thru the country, ‘liberating’ the natives- frequently by mutilating their bodies and floating them down the Congo river so that folks downstream would be scared to death.

      Then there was the Rwandan massacre, now mostly lost to PC history where, IN JUST THREE MONTHS, some 1 million Tutsi, Twa and even other Hutu Africans were horribly murdered by the Hutu Africans. They can massacre over a million other African citizens of their own state in just over 3 months but can’t get clean running water to their own. China made a killing too off of the machetes supplied to the Hutus.

      Ask any leftist apologist and they’ll tell you it’s because of the white man, all of Africa’s ills and woes are due to us. We’ve kept our boot on the throat of the African for centuries and continue to do so, we make sure they can’t progress to that glorious golden future they’ve worked so hard for. Ifit weren;’t for our constant meddling – even that centuries old inter-African cultural hatred is our fault – they’d be in space if not on Mars and would have cured the common cold. It’s all on our shoulders, folks.

        I’m sick of Africa. How many billions and billions of dollars of aid have we given them? And what is there to show for it? Nothing. We should have used the money to start a bonfire – at least someone in the US could have enjoyed the heat.

        Their country isn’t functional because they don’t want it be functional. Full stop. Don’t forget that it was an African who brought Ebola into this country and brought a hospital in Texas to it’s knees. Who do you think had to pay for that, and what are the odds that man didn’t know he’d been exposed?

          I remember the news as these countries gained their independence. Nigeria & Kenya were called economic power-houses. A few others exported agricultural products.
          Now they absorb our billions of dollars.
          I also remember when immigrants were screened and quarantined.

          China’s now dumping billions into improving the infrastructure in Africa and giving Chinese companies the jobs of designing, building and maintaining them. That’s because they’re using it to loot their resources and I’m betting when China’s done with them they’ll leave ’em like they found ’em as it’s been shown time and time again that sub-Saharan Africa has…difficulties…maintaining 1st world facilities.

      I remember this excellent article, Thanks for re-posting.
      It was about 6-8 years ago there was an African activist, maybe even on American Thinker – I can’t remember, saying the best thing the west can do is STOP giving money to the various African governments because they just steal it, and do not help their people. It just kept the corrupt people in power. He said first changing the culture (basically to western/Christian) and helping to start many small, local businesses was the way to go. However, without changing the culture first, the work of the new small businesses would be stolen from them. Now China is building multiple self-sustaining “cities” in Africa, and giving them huge amounts of money as part of their silk belt around the world. China is also giving money and is involved in South America, and sadly made a big deal with Italy.

        “the work of the new small businesses would be stolen from them.” Gee, it is probably not PC to mention it, but isn’t this a problem in the inner cities here where they complain that they don’t have stores? I have seen pictures of the stores they do have that have to be shopped through a little window instead of people going into the store.

    Thank you for your prayers! We found out there has been NO change in DH’s pancreas since 6 months ago. Now the MRI results go to the specialist, who decides whether it’s another 6 months or a year to another MRI. Now we are prepping for his ear surgery. Comparatively minor, but I really do wonder how the surgeon gets behind his eardrum without puncturing it – oh well we’ll find out in a few weeks.

    I meant to say what beautiful flower pictures you’ve been posting Stella! I really enjoy them!

    The thug who slapped the 15YO boy, and punched the older man causing his tooth to be loosened and jaw broken was arrested, and is free on the 10% = $500. bail bond! Terrible & Disappointing! He claimed mental illness as he claimed for his prior list of crimes. After getting out, on his facebook page he basically laughed at the court system for letting him go, and said it was the teen’s parents fault for raising a fascist. And yes, he is a bernie supporter (I purposely do not capitalize bernie – the lying thief.) BTW, I am sick of comments saying “If it was me I’d beat the guy, where was the father” etc.. First off, there is virtually NO crime in this town, so a teen being there with his Mom and some older gentlemen is perfectly normal. The father was working that day as a fireman, and when the ambulance was called, he responded to find his son, along with the 2 men who DID intervene, were the ones injured. People on drugs (he has a prior drug charge) sometimes are very strong, as people having an “episode” who are mentally ill are often strong. I do NOT believe this thug is mentally ill, he uses it as an excuse for his bad behavior/assaults. I think more & more violent anarchist types are using “mental illness” as a defense, knowing they are not ill enough to be forcibly committed, but it gets them off. This thug is now a hero to his friends, and bragging about it all on facebook. I can only hope they use his facebook posts against him at his trial. I will not use his name or show his picture.     Take care & be alert everyone. See if pepper spray is legal in your state, or even get an aerosol alcohol based hair spray to spray in an attacker’s eyes if needed.

      Honestly, I would like to see criminals who say they have a mental illness but have no medical records showing that, prior to the indecent, they’d A) ever been diagnosed with an illness by a medical professional, and B) have no records of any efforts made to treat it, get an automatic five year sentence with no option for early release.

      I’m very tired of this as an excuse. Very, very tired.

      Criminals and the dregs of human society who use this as an excuse are not fair to people who DO legitimately have a mental illness. This is part of the reason for the stigma against mental illness. I’m sure of it.

    It is truly amazing how brainwashed some people are. I always wondered how Germany went from Christian to the horrors of WW2. Now I know. Someone who has the knowledge of their self worth given to them by God does not do this.

We will have to deal with the effects of their brainwashing – how I do not know.

      I firmly believe that had not the Communists toppled the largest nation in the world and promised to take over the rest of the countries that we may not have had a WWII
      Hitler promised a lot of things, one of which is to stop Stalin.
      Many of the schools were run by Nazis and the students brainwashed. Some of these schools began in the 1929s. The kids did not have a chance.
      – “Give me the children and I will change society in 10 years”; Hitler.
      – “Give me a child for 8 years and he will be a Bolshevik forever”, Lenin.

      There was a fair amount of resistance to Hiler and the price for that was death.

    I am watching Tales of Wells Fargo. Michael Landon was in this episode when he was about 20. Another man who played a bad guy is the actor who played the doctor on Little House on the Prairie. It is so interesting to watch the old shows and see people who starred in later shows.
