The impeachment trial arguments resume Monday, Jan. 27 as Chief Justice of the United States John Roberts presides over the U.S. Senate. Trump’s defense team will continue opening arguments at 1 p.m. ET.

    I wanted to stay away from this, and I managed to very easily while the stupid Dem managers were talking because it became immediately obvious they were just going to attack and lie, lie, lie. But, Sat I paid attention and was rewarded with some truth. I guess now I am hooked until this is over. 🙄

    Whoa, Katie Pavlich and Wallace are about to go to blows. They are both so mad. He wants to say that things are being done just like Clinton’s impeachment and she was trying to point out that the witnesses were set up before they went to the Senate. He, of course, tried to talk over her. 😯 What a jerk!

        Speaking of FOX and Chris Wallace, a friend of my husband’s who since the first day FOXNEWS started always had his television on FOXNEWS at home and at this business. 24 hours a day, it was playing in the background, drove his wife nuts and drove his employees nuts.
        He refuses to watch anymore and has let them know it’s because of Wallace, Shep Smith, Baier and others. I asked him when Smith left if he was going to watch again and he said not until at least Wallace is gone and then it would only be a few shows that he misses.
        I don’t really pay attention to ratings, but I know before we got rid of satellite, Hannity always thanked his audience for making him number 1 in ratings. I never heard Wallace or Smith mention ratings.

          I watch FOX, FOX and FRIENDS, The Five, Tucker Carlson, Judge Jeanine, and Hannity and Laura Ingraham. Of course, I usually record the show if somebody is on I want to hear from and ff through parts I don’t want to listen to. especially Hannity and Ingraham. I never listen to Judge Nap anymore at all, no matter what show he is on. And, there are others I ff through their sessions. I have always avoided like the plague, Wallace, Shep Smith (who is no longer there) and Baier and some of the other shows.

    Hoo, I am not sure Starr speaking is not a mistake. This is the kind of information that makes me look out the window and go, “Oh, look, a butterfly”. 🙄

    Although, Starr is a little on the boring side, his lecture was a good one for Senators to hear along with any Americans who still care about our country.
    The problem is Democrats don’t care about our country, Romney doesn’t care about our country, he cares about hurting Trump. Collins I’m still out on a limb over whether she cares more about what she thinks helps her win an election or the country.
    When it comes to Americans we have the old hippies who still think communism is not so bad and then we have the young people who have been brainwashed by our public school system and crazy leftist teachers. Anyone who denies that are fooling themselves, in red state Oklahoma, we have what according to local media hundreds of public school teachers knocking on doors for Bernie Sanders and using their teaching status as why anyone should pay any attention to them. You think those teachers aren’t teaching their students about socialism being a good thing? BTW, I hope those teachers knock on my door, but that is very doubtful as they don’t like me too well.

    I just barely heard a snippet of Schumer running to the microphone, what I heard, “have said you don’t have to produce a crime to unseat a President for high crimes and misdemeanors.”

    Darn, here I always thought high crimes and misdemeanors are a crime.

He called on the solons to rebuff the charges of a “runaway house.” He called for an end to the era of eager impeachment. Generations from now, law professors will teach it to their students. It will endure as a masterpiece of constitutional law and wisdom.

    “We confess that we were skeptical when news hit the wires that Judge Starr would appear on the President’s behalf. The judge, after all, had been the independent counsel who pursued President Clinton to a failed impeachment. We had long opposed the very idea of an independent counsel as an affront to a central construct of our liberty, separated powers. He had ignored the warnings of Justice Antonin Scalia.

    “Yet today, Judge Starr dealt with all that in an honest and courageous way. He began with a point on which we had failed to reflect. The Constitution may, as it does, require that the senators, when sitting as a court of impeachment, be placed under oath. The oath is to do impartial justice.       Loved Judge Starr’s presentation, but learning new things is incredibly fascinating to me, and, having never been in a courtroom or having dealings with the law, this is all new.

      That last guy was also great, imo, the guy who has represented Pres Trump for some 20 years.

    Dunno if anyone here is still listening, but make certain to listen to Dersh tomorrow.
    Dersh is cleaning up tonight. He is animated, emotional, passionate – this guy really loves the law, and “coerces” one to love the law as Dersh does.
    (but Prof Epstein is still my fav…)
