Gotta pull the tropicals in, we’re going back to low 30s Sunday with high 20s Monday and Tuesday. More rain coming too, ain’t gonna have to plow, I can just get the e-lectric egg beaters out there and stir it a mite.

I have all four volumes.
Ford and GM both hasd plants in Germany that made vehicles for the German Army, in 1938 Henry was presented with the highest award Germany had to reward foreigners for their work in supporting the Reich.
Folks forget that there were US companies with deep ties to Germany during the war, Opel was a fully Ford-owned subsidiary of Ford and made trucks and aircraft for the Reich, as did ‘nationalized’ plants belonging to Ford and GM. Must have been some reason Hitler had a portrait of Ford on his office wall.

Absolutely nothing but I could probably gin up something.
I had windows for both here and CTH open and I was replying to a post on CTH but Chrome/WP decided to post it here instead. That’s the 2nd time in a week (more in the last few months) I’ve had posts put in the wrong place. Usually it’s in the same thread but jumping to another site is a new level of achievement for the duo.

We’ve got about 5 inches, still snowing and it is supposed to continue into the evening. Not too cold though.

We only ended up with about 5 inches, not bad, some ice but nothing new over night.

I think we got about 5″ here. Snow totals in the area were between 5 and 8″.

I don’t like “made it through another week”. I see fewer years in the future than in the past, and am not liking that weeks go by so rapidly. Also, I don’t see weeks as something to get through now that I’m retired!

This works amazingly……
I have a large original single pane glass window in my entry/laundry room. The cold enters and permeates the room and I was trying to figure out whether I should make some quilted shades or whether I should just say ‘screw it’ and throw up some plastic insulation over the outside.
A friend told me that she’d read that Bubble Wrap was a cheap, quick and easy way to insulate windows. So, I bought a roll of bubble wrap. For less than 10 bucks, I put up a double layer on the inside of the window. Light comes in but cold is trapped in the little air bubbles. It made a huge difference in the warmth of the room. Who knew????
