It is a tropical 38 degrees at the moment and the sun is shining brightly off the blindingly white snow. Tomorrow it’s supposed to hit 45 but promises rain and we’re already getting blizzard advisories for Sunday…..:0)

Good morning, Nyet! It’s a bright sunshiny day, heading for a high of 54 degrees with rain on the agenda for Caturday. Just an entire plateful of bacon and a small dish of scrambled eggs for me today. Good morning, WeeWeed! If you google Epstein photos, check out how many photos there are of Bill Clinton with Epstein. I found only photos of Bill by himself or with Hillary, but none of him standing with Jeffrey. On the other hand, there are dozens of civilian Donald Trump shots. Ya think they’re manipulating results? Is there a possibility that the media is hyping this because they’re hoping some Epstein victim accuses President Trump?

Ma Soeur was a VRF rated pilot, and then became a glider pilot. She loved her glider best of all. She said it was so quiet, so peaceful up there, it was like touching the Face of God.
You might try gliders tomorrow, Lucille.
Sadly, Ma Soeur left me before i was ever able to “find time” to go up with her. Perhaps my most terrible error of judgement.

Here is an update on my airline website computer problem yesterday. I called and had to go through a LOT of press1, press2, etc. An interesting bit of info came up. Yesterday the young man I talked to said I needed Chrome for the website to work. I put on Chrome and it still didn’t work.
Today I called and it said you could use, Chrome, Firefox, or a couple of others.
So, I finally got hold of a little gal who checked my account and said it just wasn’t hooked up to whatever. So, she hooked it up. Problem solved. I guess she knew more than that guy did yesterday. 🙄

You mean, starting to run slower and slower and then saying it is being slowed by a web page or something? I have to restart mine sometime late in the day before it completely stops responding.

Yes, to the web page slowing.
As a rule, it will not last until late in the day before jamming. I keep my computer off when I am not online for longer periods of time and always over night. I will try it later today when I have more time to see how long it lasts.

Mine is on all day and used a lot. It never makes it until 9:00 PM. Occasionally I forget and don’t restart it before 8:30 and then have trouble posting the 9:00 prayer. Sometimes it starts slowing down in the afternoon. I have no idea what it is. I have a subscription with the Geek Squad and they have run all their tests many times and find nothing wrong. 🙄

We moved all of our tropicals inside, gonna be cold tonite. We gotta be dumb growing tropicals but they do set off the patio. Then agin they don’ need to be inside fer more’n about two weeks a year and the exercise is good. Also gives me an excuse for a cafe au lait avec Drambuie.

My friend gave me several of her plants (her husband offered to pay me to take more 🙃) before she went away for the summer. One is a Christmas Cactus and it has buds on it, if they bloom it will be the first time I will have ever had a plant flower. I still kill more plants than I seem to keep alive but things are moving in a positive direction!

I love the Christmas cactuseses but like yours mine tend to die. I have bromeliads of two different types that I’ve grown since the early 80s, they jes budses on, trees 40 feet tall I raised from seeds but my mas cactuseses jes up and dies fer no reason.

My plants almost all up and die, I have several Aloe plants that are old (20+ years)but I’ve only had them a little over a year, they are the first I have been successful with. My latest victim is a dying Jade Plant.

We had many huge (like five feet tall and at least that wide) jade plants in our yard in L.A. They were beautiful and we seldom watered them. As you may know, if you take a piece of a jade plant and stick it in water, it will grow roots, which seems to belie the infrequent watering advice. You might talk to yours and tell it to buck up.

I just looked up jade plants, thinking to post a link for you. There is so much advice that is totally contrary to my mention of rooting them in water…LOL! Maybe I was just lucky. Anyway, good luck in keeping yours healthy.

I’ve seen those huge Jade plants they’re gorgeous! And no I didn’t know that about Jade plants. I almost bought a huge one that was potted but my daughter begged me not to 😂. She knows my lack of plant skills are dangerous to any greenery that enters my home.
You might talk to yours and tell it to buck up.
More like a little requiem and in the garbage for that poor plant 😦 ! Adios! Sweet Jade plant!

Try orchids – phalaenopsis. They bloom for several months and only need to be watered about once a week. I have one blooming right now; it was from my daughter’s MIL’s funeral, which was at the beginning of August. It was in full bloom then, and has only lost one bloom so far, this week.

I don’t know, I like – or rather deal better with – plants that I can fire-and-forget. My almost 40-year old bromeliads were a gift, along with a cypress tree, from one of the sergeants major I worked with. He wa a Korean War vet who just wanted to hit 60, retire to grow his plants and train his Labrador retrievers.
The broms just sat in a pot outside and growed. The old ones died and the young pups fought for survival – they even went thru Katrina’s eye and survived. It wasn’t as much that I actually grew them – I just couldn’t kill them. Apparently that’s just what I need, bulletproof plants.
