    Could get interesting around here–over three quarters of a million people, across 34 counties, will be without power in CA with a planned power outage by PG&E, starting sometime after midnight Tuesday/Wednesday.

    PG&E said the shutoffs would begin just after midnight early Wednesday morning. PG&E meteorologists forecast high winds to last until midday Thursday, but power could be out for several days longer.

    “Before restoring power, PG&E must inspect its equipment for damage and make any necessary repairs. That process cannot begin until the severe weather event has subsided,” the company said.

    The outages could last “five days or longer” in some areas…

    Got into a little tiff with someone over next door today…first time that’s happened in months. Thing that shocked me was it was over some innocuous little thing.

        It was strange,someone posted a video about how there’s a huge black hole at the center of our galaxy. It was one of those videos like you’d see on the Science Channel, about the wonders in the universe, etc.

        I replied to the effect that the science types ‘want us to think this all happened as the result of an an accident’, a short reply,that was it. S/he blows a gasket because I was misrepresenting the beliefs of others, misspeaking as they believe it occurred out of ‘chaos’, I basically shouldn’t misrepresent their doctrine.

        I came back with a reply that basically it was my post and it seemed to me would be a cold day in Hell or a clean one in Tijuana before I let someone else word my narrative. I was saving the ‘parsing of the difference between creation out of chaos or accident’ issue until later but that never came.

        Maybe s/he was just having a bad day.

      Yum! More biscuits and gravy. I could have had breakfast this morning at Fred’s (a homecooking restaurant) with Grady Judd, our Sheriff and many of his deputies along with the rest of Lakeland. Grady Judd is the Sheriff who answered the question, “Why did you shoot him 68 times.” and his answer was, “Because we ran out of bullets” when the cops cornered an illegal alien who had just murdered a deputy and a police dog and wounded another deputy at a routine traffic stop. There is no question about where he stands on anything.

    Good morning stellars. Off to do some more packing in the never ending process of helping family move. So I hope we will be moving in to a new home.

    One thing is for sure. Life changes in the past months have kicked that increasing tendency toward sloth I’ve had that came with age and aches and pains in the head.

        It’s the same one Lucille. Just finished having inspections and quotes on needed repairs. If the owners will fix what needs to be fixed we will close on the 25th, but then it will be a couple of weeks before we move in. I want to have the floors refinished and I’ll need to paint.

        M old and slow now, but I might just set a personal record on painting that house! At least the bedroom.

            I’m either going to do something radical for me, paint it white, or I’ll go back to my favorite bedroom color which is a soft moody blue gray, like fog. In the cabin I did a beautiful faux finish, a color blend but my own technique using several of those hues.

            I love to paint too. Right now I’m helping a niece paint her ugly cabinets, and they are going to be striking when done. Having fun with that, cabinets are my favorite thing to paint. I’m thinking about directing my business toward that when all the moving is finally done for our family. It would be a nice way to pick up some extra money.

    It’s in the fan now, Turkey just began its military operations in Syria using air and artillery strikes to soften up the Kurds for a ground attack. The use of aircraft means that the WH must have made the Pentagon back off of its warning to the Turks not to use aircraft.

    The MSM is going to have a field day with this,they’ll have ex-Pentagon folks whining and tearing their clothes over our blatant abandonment of our allies who bore the brunt of the fight against ISIS. The media will fill the air with pictures of crying,dirty children and hysterical mothers clutching children as they wail about the horrors the Turks have visited upon them. The Democrats and the MSM will waste no efforts placing this on Trump’s desk as he ordered the US troops standing between the Turks and the Kurds out.

    The Turks have hated the Kurds for decades, wiping them out wherever they could – as did the Iraqis. We set up a safe spot for them in northern Iraq after Desert Storm, ran a no-fly zone to protect them from Iraqi airstrikes for over 10 years, but we still squinted when the Turks and Iraqis went after them on the ground. We let the Turks use the Kurds to fight ISIS so the Turks wouldn’t have the problems that might ensue were they to feel the need to protect themselves by going after ISIS inside of Syria and maybe provoking a wider war. The Turks even transported Kurdish fighters through Turkey to man the Syrian/Turkish lines. The enemies of my enemies, even if they’re also my enemies…

    Thing is that this Kurdish ‘safe area’ was set up by the last administration. It made Obama look good but anyone with the slightest background with Kurd/Turk history knew it wouldn’t work, it was a finger in Turkey’s eye and they would eventually react. Whether there was some finagling going on in the diplomatic background or not, this matter was long in happening and is finally gelling. I think that Turkey, the US and others were talking about the Kurds and trying to find a resolution acceptable to both but Turkey was decidedly not going to let the Kurds stay on its border and especially not in territory the Turks claim.

    Turkey, I believe, sent the US and NATO a message when it bought the Russian S-400s in that if we wouldn’t support their efforts to deal with the Kurds Turkey would move eastward into the welcome arms of Russia and establish a new Mideast dynamic. I’d love to have listened in on that Trump/Erdogan call. Erdogan was going to do this regardless of what the US or NATO wanted and most likely told Trump he couldn’t guarantee that his S-400s wouldn’t engage US/NATO aircraft trying to interfere with Turkish aircraft, That would create a whole nuther and wider issue that could destabilize the Mideast.

    Bad day to be a Kurd and it doesn’t look that good for Trump either.

      “The MSM is going to have a field day with this” They started before the news of the attacks came out. I am totally confused by what P. Trump is doing. I trust him, but an attack this quickly is happening for a reason. I wonder what Kerry, and the other traitors have to do with it.

        Trump’s backed into a corner. If he allows the Turks to continue the attack then the press crucifies him. If he interferes with force the Turks may well answer back and risks a US/Turkish confrontation that threatens the Mideast and NATO.

        Those S-400s are mobile and capable of engaging US fighters – we also don’t know if they are export model 400s or, as has happened before, are internal models manned by sheep dipped Russian operators. Russia would jump at the chance for a real world test of their mainline SAM against US fighters and pilots.

        If we get into it with our strategic and NATO partner it will ripple throughout the Mideast and we could see Turkey giving us 24 hours to unass our bases and then hand a turnkey operation over to the Russians. Once the Russians are in Turkey they’ll be there for good.

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
