Senior Guatemalan Official Says Trump Is Right, U.S. Aid Rarely Makes It To The Poor

As usual, there is more to the story than is reported by the usual suspects at the major news outlets like ABC/NBC/CBS etc. Confirmation that President Trump knows what he is doing, despite what said news outlets are telling us.

It would be really nice if those who report the “news” really did the work that real journalists do, and get to the bottom of the story. I’m dreaming though.

A senior Guatemalan official said his nation was aware President Donald Trump was going to cut funding to his nation, saying he understands the decision as the majority of funds designated to aid his nation’s poorest through development projects and other charities rarely reaches those who need it most…

“To be honest with you, I don’t think most of that money is actually being properly used in our country, mainly in Guatemala,” Duarte told me. “A lot of that money goes to NGOs who spend it on mostly doing analysis and white papers sent studies. The money’s not really going towards the people. There’s no significant projects that really help us along those lines.”…

Duarte noted that last week he had

“a conversation with a couple of project managers from USAID that have worked here in Guatemala, they have worked in Haiti, they have worked in Africa, they have worked in Afghanistan and the issue here is that the projects are almost like pet projects for some political ideal.

“It’s not something thats going to significantly increase the Guatemalan capacity to actually start building up on that and create jobs, and create some sort of development.  So, at some point, there needs to be a good coordination in between the executive of the United States and the executive of Guatemala to really make a change in how these projects are selected and how they’re funded to make sure that the money is actually used to assist us in developing our undeveloped regions. And, you know, redundancy applied here,” Duarte added.

Duarte said his nation will continue to assist the United States.

I have a personal finger in this pie, in a few different areas. The ‘aid’ money is less of a way to relieve poverty than it is a payment to the Banana Republic’s ruling elite to ensure their allegiance to the US. Some government aid does filter down but even then most of it does so because it meets some elites’ needs for it to do so.

Let’s not forget that in countries like Guatemala and Mexico the US has been complicit in the elite’s destruction of the countries native populations; you know, the ones our aid was supposed to help? It’s politics and international relations…oh look! Over there! Something bright and shiny on a string!

Not just the U.S., czar, one needs include the UN in this financial corruption.
One would think the Great Human Savior Nikki Haley would have done something about this.

Mary Anastasia O’Grady of the Wall Street Journal editorial board covered this a couple nights ago, and detailed specific programs where the UN was actually part of the corruption.
      These people are evil.

There’s no doubt the UNs corrupt and evil, it’s been handmaiden to a number of genocides, large and small. Thing is that the trash leadership of these 3rd World Sh*tholes appoint delegates to the UN who get to vote on their country’s and the UN’s corruption, duplicity and vote themselves money to deal with it.

Many of us have talked about this for my whole lifetime. We all knew. I even remember when I was young, reading about money not being sent to Africa to help. Instead they sent food, formula, etc. It was stolen and sold. Little went to the people. It was sold to them. Just a racket.
