A Rare Glimpse Into a U.S. Marine’s Combat Experience

My apologies if this is old news here but I didn’t know about this.
A reporter states that President Trump accused people of treason and the reporter added that treason is punishable by death. The reporter then asked President Trump to name names.
And President Trump named names.
No wonder the Clapper and crew have gone around the bend.
Named; Comey, McCabe, probably people higher than that, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page,
This is amazing.

I still wonder if Matt Lauer’s being fired was a direct effect from his asking Hillary that one unscripted question that caused her infamous meltdown. She wanted Lauer’s head and just over a year later those ‘previously undisclosed and alleged’ incidents?
The NBC executives were said to have known about at least some of the incidents and Matt was a big player on the network so we could presume that someone was covering for him. Why suddenly, after he trips up Hillary and she unleashes a torrent of hate and threats against a major figure in the entertainment world, does all of his cover disappear and a company of women come forward with complaints years old? Why did NBC suddenly stop covering for him and let him go under?

What is “Yes” Matt Lauer’s firing was 100% directly related to angering The Beast for $2000.00 Czar.

I’m wondering if Hillary’s meltdown portion directed at Donna Bazille, especially how Hillary ‘owned’ the Party, factored in Bazille’s reticence to endorse Hillary and her leaving leadership of the Rat Party?

You mean the “F*cking, stupid, useless, Water Buffalo” as The Beast allegedly referred to Donna during her hysterics?
Again my guess is, yes, for $2000.00 Czar.

Some jerk liberal on FOX indicated that President Trump is too sensitive to criticism. Oh, right…like that leftie idjut would have been able to withstand even a 100th of what our President has had put against him, his campaign, his family, his businesses, HIS PRESIDENCY…ALL because the American Left in their many permutations couldn’t bear losing an election.

It’s amazing isn’t it? They have viciously attacked him for years, they have accused him of treason, knowing it wasn’t true, they’ve maliciously attacked his children, wished that his youngest son be locked in a cage with pedophiles and when he criticizes them they cry “sensitive” .
May they all fall off the face of the earth.

In ’99 I was sent to USFK in Soeul for an exercise – a whole nuther story – but next door is the Korean military museum . I went in and burned some incense at their wall naming fallen soldiers, the Vietnam area, and was looking at the display they’d created of a typical ROK camp in VN. There was a young US soldier (by ’99 damn near every US soldier was ‘young’ to me) and he was asking an slightly olderv sergeant what this set of rows of stakes was for. The older sergeant was unaware so I butted in and said “That’s where they displayed the heads of their combat kills”. They both looked at me askance until an older Korean that worked there confirmed it. I’ll bet they never look at one of the ROKs they work with quite the same.

One interesting small historical detail emerged yesterday when the guys unearthed deeply buried concrete steps that had at one time, led into the town’s pre-1900’s community hall. Pretty fun discovery.

Thought I’d mention it again but a couple of us used to lead the Memorial Day activities at our USDA facility. One year we designed a poster that was a large picture of the bodies floating in the water at Utah Beach with the caption:”Their Day at the Beach Made Your Day at the Beach Possible’. Brass canned it because it was too much of a downer for the holiday. Looks like the idea and script are still in play. Then again the USDA wasn’t the biggest supporter of the vets and still-serving military personnel it employed.

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.

I don’t really have much to update about the flooding. More areas that weren’t predicted to flood are now flooding. Every day they release a new prediction map and every day it expands, with some of their new predictions already being reality before it’s released.
All of the area lakes and rivers are still at historic levels. The flooding in this area is much worse than it was 4 years ago when we had flooding twice in one year. They are now admitting it’s worse all over than the 86 flood.
They don’t really update us that well, one department tells you to go to another department to check your area, that department sends you to another department, FEMA is supposed to be the place to check for all flood areas, but it’s totally ignorant. I put in a neighbor’s address that lives on the lake side of the road down the hill, they have 4 feet of water inside their home and FEMA says they’re in a minimal flood area.
Forget even finding road closures, something you would think would be a simple task, but ODOT’s list is only about half of the actual highways that are closed and our county doesn’t even have a list, they say to go to their FB page, yet they have only a few posts with pictures of two of the roads closed.
Big argument today among the local news stations over the barges that were supposedly loose last night. One channel reported it and later it was said they were never loose, just one rope broke loose from the tugboats. Those that didn’t report it are patting themselves on the back for not reporting fake news, the one that did report it is calling out the stations saying they report fake news. Still waiting for an explanation from somebody why the Governor’s office put out a statement about it if they were never loose.
Did hear from some deputies today from another county that their main city is almost under water and nobody has been saying anything about them. It was the first I had heard about how bad they have it.
We went down a road today that never in a million years would I have ever thought would have water in that area as they’re so far away from the lake or any creeks, the pastures looked like a lake. The cows were running out of dry land.
It’s bad and only getting worse and I can only imagine what’s going to happen to those downstream. I just watched Robert S Kerr lock and dam releasing almost 500,000 cfs this morning.

Storming and raining west of us, moving this way.
I had really hoped this was one forecast they were going to miss, we don’t need any more rain.
I just watched one of the Corps members on tv and he sounded and looked concerned about what this additional rain would do and even said everyone should be prepared, regardless if ever in history your area has never flooded. I think they chose the wrong one to give an interview this time, the rest of them either just don’t answer or they answer every question with how they have everything under control and are balancing all the lakes and the Hydrologists are working around the clock.

Tornadoes tonight. Not real sure exactly what hit around here. During it they were saying just straight line winds, no rotation, now they’re saying EF2. Whatever it was it was just South and East of us. All we got was rain, hail, and lightning.
Sapulpa, up by Tulsa was hit pretty bad, it looks like on television, we were asleep during that, got woke up later when they put our county under a tornado warning. Two people were killed in El Reno around 10:30 tonight.
Thank you for the prayers, we need them and so does Missouri and Texas. I’m also worried about all the people downstream from us where all this water is going, Arkansas is the first who is having to deal with it and eventually all of this water ends up in the Mississippi.
Prayers to Sapulpa tonight though, they were already under the gun thanks to 80 year old levees they were afraid were going to fail and now they get hit by a tornado.
Of course who knows what this is going to mean for the dams. They were just saying tonight, most of these dams have never held this much water for this long before.
This is the first I’ve been worried about where I live, the only thing that could flood us would be a failure of the dam above us and although they say everything is fine with the dam, they’re admitting water going over it and some cracks in it.
LikeLiked by 4 people
Praying for the dam to hold. Are you going to evacuate? Is it even possible to evacuate?
LikeLike
We could evacuate, but at this time we’re not going to.
They just gave a report that said the engineers did a thorough inspection on the dam and it’s structurally sound. They did say they were going to increase the outflow this afternoon. The highway is on top of the dam and they haven’t shut it down. I’ve been told if/when they think the dam will fail, that will be the first sign when they close the highway.
I really think the problem is the lower folks on the totem pole they send out to give statements and I think some guy in the basement controls their social media page.

I imagine that the people with the most powerful legislatures will get the most help. The rest of the folks will need to fight.

What I really wish is that they would all get on the same page. One will say one thing and then the next says something totally different. They tell you X areas will be safe, X areas are predicted to flood and then the safe areas flood. They say they will start increasing the output and they don’t or they say they won’t increase the output then they do.
Some people in the next county, they gave them 2 hours warning to evacuate, they ended up losing almost all their cattle.
They keep telling us or trying to convince us how much better our dam systems are then to let the rivers do their thing because they can control it and people have plenty of warning to evacuate that they wouldn’t have. Some areas they’re doing a good job of giving people time, other areas not so much.
Now they’re telling people along the Arkansas River that it is nearing crest or has crested, yet I just checked the flood pool levels and one of them is almost at 100%, this is the one above us, the one below it is down to 90%, the other is at 109%. Eventually they’re going to have to increase the output, so how they can be assuring these people that the river is not going to rise anymore?
Probably their built in excuse IF we don’t get additional rain, except for they’re now changing the forecast and we’re supposed to now be getting possibly severe storms again tonight. Also additional rain Tuesday night.

I think there is a lot of incompetence that happened because they held water for too long. The last few years we’ve had almost drought like conditions, lake levels got low. Boaters and fishermen, especially their bass tournament divisions weren’t happy. So this year they were going to keep those levels up in case and probably were gambling on we wouldn’t get the rain we’ve gotten, not stopping to think about how it already was a lot wetter than previous years. They guessed wrong on the rain and then it was too late.
They of course will never admit it, but like one rancher/farmer told them, “you won’t be writing a half a billion dollar check for what you have cost us, all because recreation was so damn more important than the chance of flood.”
Now, what I don’t know who all is too blame, at least two of our lakes the Corps don’t control until they reach a certain level, not sure about the rest of them.
I do know at least one river we have that has no dam and no dam water runs into did flood, but it’s back down. I also know from talking to people who lived in this part of the state before these dams and this lake was built when it was still a river said it never flooded like this then.
They’ll always claim it was all due to mother nature, but those of us who see our lake on a daily basis, know that they screwed up.

Sadly sounds like that is the case. Politicians will always make anything they touch worse. I wonder what they have been gifted to keep the bass tournament folks happy.

Good question, but I would imagine you have a lot of lake towns who depend on lake traffic who did a lot of complaining when the lake levels were low.
It bit all of them in the butt though because not many out on the lakes Memorial Weekend.
With all this flooding those folks were getting mad at the people who were saying that they should not allow any boats on the lakes this weekend. They wanted to know why they should be punished, people are losing their homes, their crops, their livestock and they’re worried about not making any money this weekend.
They still had their ignorant rock thing in our county this weekend. That infuriates me as well, it is taking away deputies, highway patrolmen and ambulances. They should have been told they were on their own and to hire their own security and paramedics.
Somebody dies at it every year anyway, either someone gets ran over because of all the stoners or someone dies going home, I think it was last year when boys drowned going home because they took a wrong turn and drove off a boat ramp in the dark.

Terrible about the boys drowning,
One would think that would tell folks who want to do special events between the chaos to go pound sand. Resources are stretched.

I am very biased because I hate the thing. The freaks invade our towns and they back up our highway and county roads. I also don’t like they have an oral agreement with the cops that no arrests or fines for drugs while on the property.
Still though it was stupid to go ahead and have it. People travel here from all over and a lot have to travel through flooded areas. It’s hard enough for locals to navigate all the road closures, much less people not aware of how to get around the state. So they’re endangering their lives, and locals lives when they’re taking away needed resources. That’s what you get though when you have a democrat Sheriff.

I heard sirens, not sure if that is where they were going, but since then I haven’t heard anymore boats.

I feel so bad for the people who are trapped, all over FB people are begging for help to get out. Rescue will only go out if their house is in danger, but many of them their homes are safe, just all the roads getting anywhere are flooded and they’re running out of food.
The shelters are getting full in some areas and some of the shelters that were set up are now in danger of flooding.
Some counties are being totally ignored by the state and only have volunteer fire and ambulance. They’re concentrating all the help in a few of the larger counties.

Van Buren, Arkansas is now flooding. There are so many people who are going to suffer before this is all over.
We all started contacting anyone we could contact for the people in the county begging for help. They now have help headed their way and a Church in a neighboring county are opening their doors as a shelter.

Praying for all of you and for those who are helping and can help.

Here is the latest, the lake west that dumps into the Arkansas river near Tulsa is increasing their output because they’re now are over 110% flood pool. The lake that our dam dumps into is going to hold back their water into the Arkansas River, the dam above us is going to increase their release, our dam is staying the same.
The explanation is that in the county with the most destruction by the Arkansas river will not see an increase. Farther up the river those areas will see an increase in flooding.
People are asking the emergency management what the heck it means for them, they really have very little answers, but I think one person gave the best answer: what this means is buckle your seatbelt. Because no one knows what’s gona happen. It’s not lookin good!!!

To find some humor in all of it, someone caught the lake record catfish last night that has been caught on a pole. He caught it fishing in his front yard. Only in Oklahoma while your house is surrounded by water will you decide to go fishing. lol

That is amazing. I can’t imagine. Hopefully notably do they get the record, also a chuckle and a good meal 🙂 .
We used to catch baby catfish and bullheads with our bare hands down in the shallows of the lake. Every time I did it people would warn me about their barbs but I never got stung. Until I did. And that was the last of my hand fishing. My cousin who always had fishtanks took one of the baby catfish home once and it lived quite a while.

They get the record, they had it checked in. I think all they get anymore is their name in the books and a free mount.
My Dad always went noodling, his hands were scarred from catfish slicing them open. Still to this day catfish are the only fish I won’t take off the hook and have never had any desire to catch them by hand.

Just saw your post after seeing the devastation on TV. My husband has a good friend that he visits near Sapulpa. They go to a Braum’s there to get ice cream, because there’s not much in the little town his friend lives in. I’m so glad y’all are okay, but very sad for the folks in the trailer park that got hit. They were saying their sirens didn’t go off until after the tornado had hit. Also, my step-son’s aunt and uncle live in Weatherford, OK, which is really close. My husband is planning to check in with them shortly to make sure they are okay. So far this is turning out to be a bad tornado season. My parents are in College Station, TX, and had four hit close to their house just a couple of weeks ago. 😦

It’s probably one of the worst weather seasons I remember. We’ve had flooding and we’ve had a lot of tornadoes, but this season everything is being thrown at us.
I heard that the people in El Reno were given no warning and Sapulpa was given very little warning because it went from a thunderstorm to a tornado so quick.
When it was in our area, my phone never went off and went off after it had already moved through. Most people had went to bed because they weren’t talking about any of it becoming severe.

It’s so scary that there can be zero warnings. 😦

Sometimes that’s just the way tornadoes are. We’ve always trusted a barometer. Often once the storms leave metropolitan areas they either go off the air or start talking about the damage and leave those of us in rural areas on our own.
They’re actually doing a better job this year than I’ve seen them do in many years of keeping on us.

That’s something. There needs to be some way to have more time. A better warning system is needed.

I doubt there ever will be because they can form so quick. Usually there is rotation and that lets them know it could become tornadic, but sometimes the rotation and funnel occur almost instantly.
They don’t scare me as much in the day time, you can see the clouds, at night is when it’s scary.

Michelle, I’m so sorry. What a horrendous time. Anything I can do? Is there a worthy charity that you trust?

I honestly don’t know and there are others a lot worse off than we are. Thank you though.
We dropped off water at our local fire department who is taking it to the shelter areas and those people who are trapped in their homes. Some people’s homes aren’t flooded, but flood waters have cut their communities off from the rest of the world. They’re also offering them a one last chance to evacuate by helicopter.

Nice idea dropping off water. I hope the people have an opportunity to evacuate go, better safe than sorry at this point.
