    Among other things, today is National Sea Monkey Day. But you have time to prepare for dinner tomorrow, which is National Pizza Party Day, National Walnut Day, and National Cherry Cobbler Day. Yesterday was National Chocolate Chip Day, but I found out too late, so I’ll bake up a batch of cookies this afternoon: never too late to celebrate with cookies!

    Wasting my afternoon watching Lord of the Rings. Thinking it is about time for my third reading of the series, starting with The Hobbit of course. I read for the sheer joy of escape, and Peter Jackson did SUCH a good job on these movies.

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
