        These days anytime I see pink, read pink or hear pink, I can hear Gracie saying, “My pink.”

        If it’s pink or purple, doesn’t matter what it is, she thinks it’s hers.

        I smile all the time about her love of everything pink or purple and girly everything when her mommy has always hated pink and anything girly.

            I just looked and found it. When my daughter was in school they had a contest for girls, they all had to make a skirt, necklace and bracelet out of candy. She had a braided twizzler skirt, smarties bracelet and red hots necklace.

            It’s good to see you as well.

            I’ve been in Louisiana, had very spotty cell phone service. Been trying to catch up on chores since I got back.

            Went and watched my grandson’s t-ball game last night. Although that boy has tons of natural talent, just don’t think t-ball is ever going to hold his attention. He spent most of his time in the dirt making race tracks. When he’d hear the ball hit, he’d run after the ball and once the play was over, he’d be right back drawing a race track in the dirt.
            First time he went up to bat, they didn’t hold him up, so he hit the ball and got a home run. Second time they were making him wait so he was drawing a race track in the batter’s box with his bat and then lost all interest in batting.

            I told my daughter obviously t-ball and racing season don’t mix, especially with a 4 year old who has a very short attention span. lol

              I think you have a racer Michelle 🙂 . My prayers for his safety will start now! I know his daddy will teach him right and he will be awesome. Sounds like it is in his DNA!

              And a twirler skirt? That is so cool. I’m going to look at ideas and make something with the niece one of these days 🙂 !

                I keep hoping that he will grow out of it. lol Not sure my heart can take seeing him racing.

                At least so far my precious little granddaughter doesn’t want to race, she says they’re too loud. Although she tells her Daddy his car needs to be pink, she won’t like it until it’s pink. Her and her brother get into a lot of arguments over a pink race car.

                  That is so cute! I hope you’re recording some for when they’re older.

                  If your grandson does race at least you know he has a tremendous foundation in the way to do it as safely as possible. And you have a bunch of prayer warriors who will surround him through every lap of the race.

                    If I’m alive when they’re teenagers I’m going to embarrass them so much. Knowing now how much you miss when they’re young because you do more of recording the big moments, not the every day moments, I record a lot of those moments.

      I remember listening to them in the early 60s on Radio Luxembourg and the pirate radio stations based on ships off the Brit/European shore. BBC had a lock on broadcasting and avoided the current pop music except for about a few scheduled hours a week. Ditto the American AFN radio, they were more set to the troop’s music and most of the troops were WWII and Korean War vintage. We could buy their albums in the PX, German and Brit issues mostly.

      I don’t have a fav Stones song but I do have a favorite album – High Tide and Green Grass, too many great songs on it to pick just one. I still have my vinyl copy and only play my CD.

      The Stones were supposed to play the Jazz Fest in NOLA this month but Jagger had to have open heart surgery in New York so they had to cancel. Fest folk got Fleetwood Mac to fill in at the last minute but they had to cancel too as Grace Slick is recovering from an illness. It’s hell when your music idols remind you how old you are.

      This song was used in an ER episode with Ray Liotta – Out of Time. Liotta plays a drunk whose body is failing and running out of time. A powerful moment in tv. I think Liotta won an Emmy for his role.

    Last week we were discussing how much involvement FISC judges actually had in FISA warrant approval, and I believed Carter Page’s FISA had never had a hearing, and there would be no transcripts b/c of no hearing.

    Last night, 7:30 –

    I’ve spent so much time crying over my job for the past couple of weeks – in front of other people, which is really embarrassing in hindsight – that I’m ashamed myself. Other people go through so worse, heck, I’m a Type 1 diabetic, I’ve been through pretty bad already (ask me about what a 400 blood sugar feels like! Actually, don’t, it’s not a fun memory), but I’m crying over this? At the time though, I was completely at my wit’s end and legitimately considering quitting.

    I need some help for my quailing heart, that’s for sure. I’m tired of getting treated like trash, and getting no feedback, and then getting asked why I haven’t improved. The job hunt goes on, like it has pretty much since I started at this place.

    (Sorry stella. Just wanted to talk a little about how life’s been going for me lately. :/)
