Cloudy and 35 degrees here, but no snow. There was some sleet last night when I took the dog out, but that’s it. It won’t be long before it is green outside, and I can’t wait!

It’s gettin’ harder to find good cowbells, I uses ’em on my hog traps. Haven’t caught a worship band yet…maybe they’s tooooo smart…but iffin I gits one I’ll sure let chall know.

czar, drop by the Mississippi State University (go Bulldogs!) student book store next time you’re in Starkville. They’re a good source of high quality cowbells (heard en masse on Saturday afternoon in the student section of the football stadium).

I have the ones I need, finally. I have a ‘trap’ the dispenses corn and as the hogs push it around it rings a cowbell. After a while the hogs are used to the bell, associate it with food and come arunnin’ when I independently ring one. Now I have to worry about MSU folks answerin’ too….what do they dress out at?

I’m listening to the DOJ press conference in which they are outlining what he did. He stole millions of dollars from clients, including one poor man who is a paraplegic. Avenatti took all of the money in the client’s account that was paid by the city of Los Angeles; he used four million dollars for his business and his own lifestyle. There is much, much, more.
He is so screwed.

I just LOVE that dictation system the TV stations use for closed captioning for the hearing impaired. We’re not hearing impaired, damn TV volume control just doesn’t work right, so we have the captions on.
Just now the news was talking about the baby ‘teething necklaces’ being sold and how they may pose a choking hazard. The commentator said the FDA instead recommends a ‘cold’ teething ring while the captions said they recommended a ‘coal’ teething ring. Bet there’s gonna be some surprised parents when those packages from the grandfolks arrive.

On my walk this afternoon I saw a dachshund encounter a turtle. Or tortoise. Either way, that dog wanted to know what was inside that shell, and was not happy with his human for making him play nice. She also had a puppy who was much more interested in letting me pet him than some old shell.

Sounds like a fun walk! Mine wasn’t very interesting today, but last week we had a couple of beautiful geese hanging out by the pond at the park behind us. They let us get really close and weren’t afraid. We also supplied them with lots of saltine crackers, so I’m sure that had something to do with it! 😉

I’d ordered a dual magazine carrier for my CCW pistol. I thought it was a rather long time in coming but it arrived today…from Israel. I had no idea the mag carrier was made there but it was. It came in a puffed up sealed plastic bag inside of a completely sealed and puffed up plastic envelope. I now have an Israeli made mag carrier on my hip and two bags of Holy Land air wafting about our living room.
