Commonly known as the festival of colors, Holi is a Hindu tradition in India and Nepal that commemorates the end of winter’s gloomy days. This holiday is so sacred that even local markets and businesses are expected to close up shop in preservation. During the first full moon of March, people light bonfires to celebrate the triumph of good over evil, and then spread the sacred ashes on their foreheads to protect themselves against evil. The following morning, Holi begins. The entire neighborhood comes together and throws colored water and powder on each other in celebration.

    Today is a better day. Got my taxes done yesterday and got a refund. I was worried about a small windfall that I got last year, along with some RMD would put me into another bracket. It didn’t happen, thankfully. My friend had to pay and kept mentioning Trump’s tax changes. I know why she paid more, and it had to do with her RMD and maybe a little with the tax change. She was close to the next bracket and it threw her over. The tax preparers said that some of the people got refunds and some had to pay because of the new tax laws. This is all people over 55, I believe.

    I had someone send me a screenshot of a man arguing in favor of paying for an abortion vs 18 years of child support. That was bad enough, but women who are pro abortion were telling him that’s because he’s responsible.

    I would hate to live in their heads if responsibility is paying someone to murder your child.

    My grandson almost always has me in tears and this was another of those times. He was tailing along behind me outside while I was looking for something I couldn’t find. I guess what I was saying to myself in my head, didn’t stay in my head and came out my mouth, because all of a sudden he says, “what did you say Nanny?” I told him I didn’t say anything and he said, “yes you did Nanny, are you talking to yourself?” I told him I guess I was. He said, “that’s okay Nanny, I talk to myself sometimes when I’m playing, really I’m talking to my pretend friends. Were you talking to your pretend friends Nanny?”
    I laughed and told him I didn’t have pretend friends, probably a good thing or they’d send me to an old people house. He says, “Oh no Nanny, you’re really old, they better not put my Nanny in an old people house or I will be really mad!”

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

    Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

    Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

    Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
