          I just saw an article saying that a Texas judge, Judge Miller, has ruled that women can also be drafted. We were wondering how it would go.

            It makes sense. Of course, nobody is being drafted right now.

            It was a grandstand play by the men bringing the suit…all laid out to make it seem logical but it was really just sour grapes and feeling discriminated against…poor ‘lil things. And, of course, feminists have been saying since forever that there is no difference between males and females under most circumstances…blah, blah, blah!

            A woman would have to meet certain standards just like a male and could get draft deferments for various ailments, necessity of taking daily medications for things like diabetes, etc. It doesn’t mean they will be drafted into front line wartime units…or does it?

            If the bozos bringing the suit think it’s a great idea to have women on the front lines, then someone should give each one a swift kick in the arse.

      I’m listening to the birds sing their morning songs, and I can see my forsythia from the front window, as well as the jonquils, but I actually have to get up and go to the porch, or windows on the other side of the cabin, to see all the blooming trees. Well in bloom now, the flowering ones.

      We have just the beginnings of redbuds, and I don’t know what the white ones are, they are all over the woods. Too early for dogwoods, and I don’t have any bradford pears, so I really don’t know what these guys are. I am going to have to get my book out and go look at the leaves.

      Hoping blooms and color and spring are just around the corner for you, and lovely, Stella and all folks up in the colder regions. And I hope that there isn’t a major cold snap come along and kill things off for us.

        As soon as I see the forsythia bloom, I will know that Spring is finally on its way. Won’t be long now (I hope.)

        My forsythia bush is huge now, but when a man I worked with gave it to me it was just a tiny stick with a few roots. It spent its first night at my house in a plastic bag outside my back door in a sleet storm.

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.
