AOC’s Chief of Staff admires Indian leader who allied with the Nazis?

NOTE: Subhas Chandra Bose was the first (and only) Head of State and Government (Prime Minister) of the Provisional Government of Free India (Undivided India). He held that position from 21 October 1943 – 18 August 1945.

Subhas Chandra Bose (23 January 1897 – 18 August 1945) was an Indian nationalist whose defiant patriotism made him a hero in India, but whose attempt during World War II to rid India of British rule with the help of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan left a troubled legacy. The honorific Netaji (Hindustani: “Respected Leader”), first applied in early 1942 to Bose in Germany by the Indian soldiers of the Indische Legion and by the German and Indian officials in the Special Bureau for India in Berlin, was later used throughout India.

Bose had been a leader of the younger, radical, wing of the Indian National Congress in the late 1920s and 1930s, rising to become Congress President in 1938 and 1939. However, he was ousted from Congress leadership positions in 1939 following differences with Mahatma Gandhi and the Congress high command. He was subsequently placed under house arrest by the British before escaping from India in 1940.

Bose arrived in Germany in April 1941, where the leadership offered unexpected, if sometimes ambivalent, sympathy for the cause of India’s independence, contrasting starkly with its attitudes towards other colonised peoples and ethnic communities. In November 1941, with German funds, a Free India Centre was set up in Berlin, and soon a Free India Radio, on which Bose broadcast nightly. A 3,000-strong Free India Legion, comprising Indians captured by Erwin Rommel’s Afrika Korps, was also formed to aid in a possible future German land invasion of India. By spring 1942, in light of Japanese victories in southeast Asia and changing German priorities, a German invasion of India became untenable, and Bose became keen to move to southeast Asia. Adolf Hitler, during his only meeting with Bose in late May 1942, suggested the same, and offered to arrange for a submarine…

Identifying strongly with the Axis powers, and no longer apologetically, Bose boarded a German submarine in February 1943. In Madagascar, he was transferred to a Japanese submarine from which he disembarked in Japanese-held Sumatra in May 1943.

With Japanese support, Bose revamped the Indian National Army (INA), then composed of Indian soldiers of the British Indian army who had been captured in the Battle of Singapore. To these, after Bose’s arrival, were added enlisting Indian civilians in Malaya and Singapore. The Japanese had come to support a number of puppet and provisional governments in the captured regions, such as those in Burma, the Philippines and Manchukuo. Before long the Provisional Government of Free India, presided by Bose, was formed in the Japanese-occupied Andaman and Nicobar Islands…

In late 1944 and early 1945 the British Indian Army first halted and then devastatingly reversed the Japanese attack on India. Almost half the Japanese forces and fully half the participating INA contingent were killed. The INA was driven down the Malay Peninsula, and surrendered with the recapture of Singapore. Bose had earlier chosen not to surrender with his forces or with the Japanese, but rather to escape to Manchuria with a view to seeking a future in the Soviet Union which he believed to be turning anti-British. He died from third degree burns received when his plane crashed in Taiwan.

So, Bose first allied with the Nazis, then Imperial Japan and, finally, contemplated allying himself with Soviet Russia, opposing Britain.  Just the right kind of ‘hero’ for an advisor of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

And the Moslem fundamentalist terrorists’ connection the the real, not latter day, Nazis. Just after WWII Egypt, among other Moslem Mideast countries, gave shelter to many Nazis. WWII V-2 scientists went to Egypt and were building Egypt’s version of the V-2, Otto Skorzeny went to Egypt and not only trained Egyptian security and commando forces but Arab terrorist forces (including young Yassar Arafat) that went on to become the PLO, among others.

The idea that dedicated Nazis, after some 15 years of service, just rolled up shop and became bartenders is a popular myth meant to help the world’s denial, they and their ‘trainees’ are still influencing modern life and will for decades.

Keep in mind that everything Saikat Chakrabarti is saying here he is saying about himself.

Sorry I can’t find it on Youtube so we’re stuck using CNN.

So the way that Alexandria is able to uses social media, uh one of things she is able to do, she’s does things very quickly because she has a pulse on where people are. She uses it basically as a way to pierce the veil off things that everybody agree on or things that or that people are already there on like taxes, like you know, the polls show that an overwhelming amount of Americans want to have taxes on the rich.

And then what she does with those tweets she just says what other people are afraid to say. And all of the sudden it creates a moment because she’s not actually, you know having 70% taxes is not a new idea, you know we had it back in the cities, you know people are sort of wanting to have that happen, it’s been bubbling at the surface and she’s able to use her platform to give it voice and to give it power and to turn it into an actual policy and political debate.

Uhhh….and the, the, the thing that she really does is incredible, she educates. Uh the reason the democrats have been scared of talking about raising the tax on the rich is they’re afraid that they’re not going to be able to educate the public about what marginal tax rates are. Well, Alexandria just did that and she you know took the republicans to task, she basically showed how the republicans have been making a, kind of a bad faith argument on taxes for years and that claim that somehow a 70% marginal tax rate will somehow effect the working class here and she said no that’s not true we’re just talking about your 10 millionth dollar here.

And so I think that’s the real piece. Everyone is talking about she’s good at social media she’s not good at social media. It’s not about social media. She’s good at communicating and she’s good at taking a message and educating people and getting people to realize how these very complex policies work.

The goal of Justice Democrats is to fundamentally transform America into a Socialist Hell.

Imagine being so bereft of simple reason and logic as to believe that this is a true statement.

…she basically showed how the republicans have been making a, kind of a bad faith argument on taxes for years and that claim that somehow a 70% marginal tax rate will somehow effect the working class here and she said no that’s not true we’re just talking about your 10 millionth dollar here.

Saikat Chakrabarti in all his pious ignorance speaks for millions, he speaks for the entire Resist, ANTIFA movement, he is their poster boy and Ocasio is their poster girl.

Well gee wiz, what Commie Chick’s advisor is saying is exactly what Pres Trump actually did, is it not? Except Pres Trump spoke for the actual middle class, the ones in Flyover Country who keep the lights on and the cell towers working and the twits tweeting and the Triggly Puffs eating, not the socialist freeloaders in Commie Chick’s district.

It is a miracle even that our electricity is available 100% of the time. Pres Trump spoke for those who make things work long before Commie Chick was a glint in her daddy’s eye.

Shame on Commie Chick for stolen valor.
Commie Chick should shut up and learn a little history. Commie Chick may begin by explaining how those evil WASP CIS males figured out electricity, then move on to why those tax schemes did not work in Eisenhower’s time

All of Cortez ingenious ideas are actually those of her Chief of Staff

Who thought of himself that he was not electable

So he put Cortez out front to do his bidding

NYC use to be a place where the people were sharp smart and a step ahead of everyone else

My GrandParents were born there 1904

As I watched a video recently where NYers were asked about Cortez and why they voted for her

Their respond was that she Cortez is for the people

How and When did Socialism become for the people?

Socialism leaves people cold hungry and broke

I asked where did all those NYers go the sharp and smart ones?

I was told they moved out of their NYC neighborhoods a long time ago…

    And have already been replaced!!!

    The old neighborhoods are unrecognizable

From reading only, I believe your word, neighborhoods, used to actually exist and be a source of strength and security in New York City.

People lived in areas often populated by those who shared religion, ethnicity, economic status, and goals with them. Much like farmers and ranchers work together to get the big jobs like a barn raising done, so too did neighbors, in different ways. They were there for births and deaths and sicknesses and troubles. They shared burdens and joys.

And yes, I think for some reason the children and grandchildren of most of those people left NYC, and now it doesn’t really have neighborhoods, it has rent districts and status symbol areas and trendy boutique areas and theatre districts and Wall Street and so many other places. But it seems not the same at all now.
