    There was a brand new Corvette stuck in the right lane of the interstate, its business-suited owner standing by the side of the road as two work clothed Good Old Boys driving an old, battered pickup pushed it off the road and onto the shoulder. Just a little vignette.

    BTW, I think there should be some regulation preventing guys under 6-feet tall and weighing over 300 pounds from buying and wearing medium sized t-shirts. I know this is Bubba country but all the same…

    Just another vday in the sticks.

    Did Pope Francis invite the Grand Sheikh to read the Bible and believe in Jesus Christ? If so, tell us about it instead of handing us the sad commentary he’s promoting the world over? And if not, why not? Why not tell the Muslim that our God claims to BE love, not just TO love but actually be what love is? This is heartbreaking.

    Had a great day today. Went to breakfast with a friend and was able to pay for two cops’ breakfast, which made me happy. Then, after shopping a little we went to the movie. We saw The Upside. It was great. We lol’d all through it. The story was great, the actors were great, it moved along quickly with no dead moments, plenty of drama interspersed with laughs. I highly recommend it to everyone. A real feel good movie. I’m still smiling. The preview is a taste of what is in the movie, but there is much more. 🙂

    It looks like WI’s new governor is going to deep 6 the Foxconn deal.

    Apparently Evers is adding all kinds of caveats to the deal including draconian air rights restrictions.

    I was reading an article in a conservative newspaper where a conservative wrote about abolishing abortion in Oklahoma. I normally like much of what he writes, but this was a bunch of baloney.

    He argues that it is wrong to turn women who are victims of the abortion industry into criminals because they’re tricked into believing it’s not a life. Now I might agree with that when it comes to scared teenage girls, but adult women know what they’re doing, heck some of them even get on you tube and brag about how many they’ve had. If a woman had a week old baby and told someone to smother it and sat and watched while they did it, she would be guilty of at least an accomplice to murder.
    He argues that those of us who are on the side of abolishing abortion are not wanting to save the life of some if we can’t save the life of all. That is very dishonest, I for one am all for heartbeat bills and even for bans on late term abortions, but the reason I started paying attention to the abolish movement is because I’ve heard this stuff for years and seen laws get passed and courts rule it’s unconstitutional and watched states cower down and do what the robes tell us to do while thousands more babies every year are slaughtered.
    I’m not naive enough to believe if our state abolishes abortion that women won’t just go to a state where it’s legal, but at least in this state we will no longer sanction murder and some of those babies will get to live.
    As for punishment, something can’t be illegal without a punishment for the crime. People don’t go to prison without a trial.
    Then he goes on to argue we should communicate to persuade people of the brutal and murderous activity in abortion clinics. Like that hasn’t been happening since Roe V Wade, yet millions of babies have been murdered.

    Frankly I’m sick and tired of the rhetoric we hear year after year, yet abortion continues. I do not care what SCOTUS said or says, once upon a time they said it was legal to own slaves as well.

    I do not understand how someone can argue against abortion, but then say we should just try and limit the number and fight against actually doing anything to end abortion.
