    Once again President Trump shows himself to be the adult in the room. Nancy looks like a political rat. President Trump takes away the visual of morons protesting the STOTUA, he takes away the democrats talking points and the extreme, irrational party of bullies continues to be marginalized.

    I think President trump made the right call here. He congenially engaged Pelosi in letters that are in the public domain and then he said ok I’ll wait.

    Nancy has made the SOTUA the most anticipated speech in decades.

    Will President Trump hold a MAGA rally January 29, 2019? Imagine a sea of red hats 😊.

      I don’t like that he delayed. At all. I can’t work my way around to seeing it as anything other than letting that SWB (I can’t write that out here, Stella would justifiably kill me) win.

      I haven’t read SD’s post yet. I see he called him magnanimous. I’m not seeing that at all. Nancy Pelosi and her ilk should NEVER be given the upper hand. I do not like this at all.

      He will gain nothing from this. Making concessions to her is like giving a rabid dog your supper in hopes that it won’t bite you.

          Unless he took a step back to come at her with all guns blazing from a different angle it is not good. Ultimately, I’ll wait and see what he has up his sleeve, but on the surface I do not like it at all. She should get nothing, not one single tiny concession that makes her look powerful.

          I wouldn’t give her a crumb from the leftovers to be thrown out. Never. Of course, I am not completely without bias here. There is no politician, including Barack Obama or Hillary that I despise more.

        Menagerie, Pres Trump never said he was delaying the speech. Pres Trump merely said he was delaying the SOTU given in the House.
        Sara Sanders said yesterday Pres Trump would be speaking to the American people on 29 Jan 2019. Sara did not say where Pres Trump would be speaking.

        Please, do not give up yet. There is more than one way to de-broom a witch. 😉

        This is where I tend to disagree.

        My thought is that President Trump is marginalizing people like Nancy Pelosi. We have #Blexit, we have #Walkaway, but #Walkaway is mostly young liberals or at least young people who once identified as “liberal” and who are horrified by the nastiness of the Left.

        The #walkaway crowd is very different than the Union/Reagan Democrats.

        I believe that President Trump is going after the Union/Reagan Democrats with this move. And I think it is brilliant.

        I haven’t been home so I don’t know how people are responding.

        If Sundance thinks that President Trump is being magnanimous because President Trump is a magnanimous sort of fellow I would say that is a wrong view.

        President Trump, of course wants to appear magnanimous, but all he is doing is handing Team Pelosi the rope to hang themselves.

        My Guess? President Trump will hold a rally on January 29th and his opening live will be “The State of the Union is beautiful”.

        Finally catching up on some opinions.

        I listened to Scott Adams take which I disagree with, he believes that wearing a MAGA hat is now seen as a sign of racism because of the Covington fiasco.

        The same people who thought MAGA hats were racist before this incident still think MAGA hats are racist. We can’t change delusional.

        Anyhow Scott also thinks that it is now impossible for President Trump to hold a rally on the 29th because there will be a sea of red hats and the sea of red hats will be viewed as a sea of racists.

        😏

        I do agree with Scott’s larger point, which I have made myself and that is that President Trump has revealed himself as the adult in the room and made Pelosi look like a lowlife petulant shrew.

        PS I hope Romney falls off the face of the earth.

      P.S. That sculpture is awesome. An artist’s eye is an amazing thing. Apparently if you have such talent you can use marble or paint or stone or nature’s castoffs, or even stuff from junkyards and still capture the subject.

      It’s a neat thing to think about.

      Rush reminded listeners this a.m. that BuzzFeed is owned by NBC/Comcast. Thus NBC has a visibly/vocally leftist organization which puts out garbage that NBC can then report upon. Well, to slightly alter Rush’s famous saying…”I hope they both fail!”

    So, to all ya’all mentioning the terrible cold weather & snow, perhaps you’d like to join me in the western back yard, mowing last summer’s weeds. It’s about 50 degrees with a brisk NW wind, sunny with relentlessly blue skies. I love mowing, because you can see the change so clearly, and walking behind the big mower is kind of mindless, which keeps me in the moment, not worrying about anything. Perhaps you can achieve this with a snowblower, too. I loved shovelling snow when we lived in Utah.

      Ain’t gonna happen, it is what it is and will remain so. The lawyer who filed the suit pretty well knows, I’ll bet, that the suit is not going to be heard before the Bowl and no NOLA judge can stop the Bowl period. Gave the lawyer a shipload of free publicity though.

      If you look at the situation when the hit took place, how painfully obvious it was that Nickell’s hit on Tommylee was a planned, deliberate action – yet no one is looking at that. It was OT, the Saints were making a drive and that pass would have put them in easy scoring range – why not risk a penalty with a desperation move, what’s to lose?

      The other thing was that both players were way down field, in to open. The ball was in the air and the ball is what, at that point, the refs should have been watching, YET as important the play obviously was to the game and the potential for issues with the terminal end of the play…not one of these professional refs were looking. If this were boxing there’d be Federal investigations into possible fixing before the stale beer was mopped off of the Dome floor.

        Not so, three refs saw the play. They were looking right at it. I have seen the videos of the refs. Agree nothing will happen.

      I’m not happy either, but wouldn’t file a lawsuit. I left a short video on doggityday about the 3 refs who saw the play and the one who was going to call it a foul. He was shut down IDK by which ref or why he acquiesced, but he did. Totally ticked me off. I think NO would beat NE in super bowl and I got a real problem with NE for a variety of reasons.
