      There are so many good versions. I chose this one because it reminds me of my sister, who sang this in our church on Christmas Eve. She left this earth many years ago now, but she had the most beautiful clear soprano voice (she studied voice, specifically opera).

    40 years ago in a moment of contemplation, I hard singing within my being for a short time, Only the once but I knew it was angels. One of the highlights of my life.

      Same thing happened to me one Christmas Eve. As I lay in bed I heard the angels singing Glory in Excelsis. And I woke my husband convinced that he must be able to hear it too because it was so loud, but he didn’t.
      I lurk here but don’t often comment. Merry Christmas to all you lovely people, you make me smile quite often!
