Ohio House Passes Bill Banning Abortion After Heartbeat Begins

The pro-life movement won a significant victory in Ohio this week, where the state House passed a bill that would ban abortions on unborn babies after a heartbeat is detected in the womb.

State House Bill 258 passed in a 58-35 vote and now moves to the state Senate for consideration. Should the state Senate approve the bill, most abortions in Ohio would be effectively banned.

“The controversial legislation would ban most abortions in Ohio if it becomes law,” reports LifeNews. “An unborn baby’s heart begins beating around six weeks, though new research suggests it may begin as early as 18 days after conception.”

Heartbeat bills in favor of the unborn have been passed in both North Dakota and Arkansas but were later overturned by the courts. In the ruling, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals said such laws violate Supreme Court precedent.

Do not underestimate the power and stupidity of Ohio’s courts, especially that Sixth Circuit court in Cincinnati. In Ohio, we elect most judges, but the candidates run with no party affiliation, and finding the proclivities of each candidate running is near impossible. My votes for judges have been blank for years, as a small and ineffective protest.

This case will be thrown out in one of Ohio’s corrupt courts, most likely the corrupt Southern District or the corrupt Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, both based in corrupt Cincinnati. But one may still pray for success.

Future case, as this is still in the Legislature. But there will be a case, sooner rather than later (sigh).

I had the same problem with the judges here in FL. They gave no party affiliation. What I did was research each one, note what their group affiliations were, such as League of Women Voters, etc., see if they were church goers, and things like that. I actually got a pretty good idea of who I wanted to vote for.

Whether this makes it or not, maybe it will encourage other states to try.

It is headed to the SCOTUS on appeals, this is exactly why the demons of the Left so vigorously oppose Constitutionalist Justices. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. God given. The abortionists and their cheerleaders can go to hell.

Brilliant way to phrase it so it appeals to emotion.

“How can you possibly think it’s ok to stop a beating heart?”

From Mother Teresa’s Nobel prize acceptance speech:

“…The greatest destroyer of peace today is the cry of the innocent unborn child. For if a mother can murder her own child in her womb, what is left for you and for me to kill each other?

“In the scripture it is written: Even if mother could forget her child – I will not forget you – I have carved you in the palm of my hand.”

Even if mother could forget, but today millions of unborn children are being killed. And we say nothing.

In the newspapers you read numbers of this one and that one being killed, this being destroyed, but nobody speaks of the millions of little ones who have been conceived to the same life as you and I, to the life of God, and we say nothing, we allow it.

To me the nations who have legalized abortion, they are the poorest nations. They are afraid of the little one, they are afraid of the unborn child, and the child must die because they don’t want to feed one more child, to educate one more child, the child must die.

What I have encountered is when sound reasoning cannot be utilized, rhetoric and anger (finger pointing and slander) are used. This is why I’ve learned to speak bluntly. It cannot be countered. A baby is a baby is a baby, from the moment of conception, and there are venues for mothers who cannot take care of their babies. A baby is the most innocent, and as stated in the constitution and morality, deserves every opportunity we all have and are experiencing.
