Lenoir Internal Combustion Engine

Wikipedia:

Jean Joseph Étienne Lenoir was a Belgian engineer who developed the internal combustion engine in 1858. Prior designs for such engines were patented as early as 1807 (De Rivaz engine), but none were commercially successful. Lenoir’s engine was commercialized in sufficient quantities to be considered a success, a first for the internal combustion engine.

      The accredited college expert was unaware of the item due to lack of written history, so it didn’t exist. It must therefore be “aliens”

      So I listened to the whole lecture. The clockwork-calculator story is good. The document story has one flaw in the proof, it presumes the paper dating to 1400’s is the same as the writing date. Several forgeries in art have been discovered to have been created on older canvases, so why not consider this one was drawn up after telescopes & microscopes were invented. He just skipped over that possibility, and proposed a space alien stranded on earth wrote it.

      I loved Field & Stream as a kid, I’d grab every new copy right off the stand and devour it. I’d put myself in the hunting and fishing articles, seeing myself in a red plaid jacket, canvas pants and lace-up knee-high boots – stalking my moose in the wilds of Maine. Reality was we were in a midsize Connecticut town where there was no private land and you had to go to Maine to get a quality hunt, and that wasn’t going to happen.

      I wonder if this Amundsen is any relation to Roald Amundsen. Though it may be a very common name in Norway, that’s the first time I’ve heard it outside of reading about the polar explorer.

      If you’ve never seen THE LAST PLACE ON EARTH, a British TV series (with a smallish part played by Hugh Grant before he was well-known) about the race to the South Pole between Amundsen and Brit Robert Scott, you must get it. Absolutely excellent and filmed at the South Pole. I VHS taped every single episode in the 1980s.

      The actor who plays Amundsen is Sverre Anker Ousdal and Scott is portrayed by Martin Shaw, who has been in numerous British TV series.

    I was over here seeing what people had to say when my husband said “they’ve arrested someone in Florida.”

    Just like my beloved ADHD grand puppy I was off to see what was happening over there on the other sites. After checking a few, no one knows anything other than the arrest. We’ll have to wait until this afternoon’s news conference to get the next drip drip of info.

    Anyway, lock them up! Throw away the key!

    CTH has videos on Sec. Nielsen posted this morning. They are good.

    The Secretary partially answers the question on what the military will do. She said DHS has requested air support, planning, and vehicle barriers to protect the ports of entry and the Border Patrol officers. Gen. Mattis will decide what will be provided.

    She said too that the BP will send anyone home that crosses illegally.

    WooHoo on the air support. That means all the little splinter groups can be tracked from the air and intercepted on the ground. Hallelujah! Praise God! Please God, please protect all the men and women who protect our country. Please God, send the invasion force home and let President Trump come to them to offer aid as he has done with Mexico through the USMCA. In Jesus name, amen.

    OMG I just heard Kris Wallace and Shepard Smith go at it on Shep’s show. Shep kept trying to say it was P.Trump’s rhetoric that was at fault. Wallace disagreed. They must have gone round and round about 8 times. Wallace said you can’t say that because you can’t put the blame on one person for what another does. Shep kept saying he wasn’t and then would repeat that it was what P.Trump said. LOL

    Looked up Southwest Border Migration stats for the past year, found a table showing the apprehensions/inadmissibles numbers. Are you ready? October 2017 34,871 was the lowest count, May 2018 51,861 the highest. That’s over 1000 illegals caught crossing EVERY day. 521,090 in the past 12 months.
