    1) The media is a very good these days at dragging every debate into minutiae. Ice throwing. Three or four words in a statement. The cosmic meaning of Devil’s Triangle.
    So the challenge for GOP Senators–including @JeffFlake @SenatorCollins@lisamurkowski –….
    2) is remembering the bigger picture. That includes realizing:
    –a no vote is a legitimization of the ugliest tactics we have ever seen in politics, a greenlight for them to continue
    –a no vote is an overthrow of due process, which is at the heart of civil society
    3) a no vote is to claim a DC Circuit Court judge lied to Senate, opening him up to impeachment/criminal proceedings.
    4) A no vote keeps High Court at a 4-4 deadlock, and put circuit courts (including loony 9th in AK/AZ) in control.
    That’s what this is really about. Not ice.

    Just got back. In total, there were his prinvipal and teacher, us parents, public asst principal, speech therapy, reading specialist, and psychologist. Appropriate probing questions. Learned today that he knocked a chair over, but at first it was stated he threw a chair. I knew he had thrown a pencil. Constantly requiring 1 on 1 attention. But he’s trying to have a classroom “mom” I think. Stating he is competent academically but socially is immature. His school feels his speech is baby talk. His surgery was only a few months ago so not sure what the issue there is.
    Lots of frustration on his part and wanting to do things his way or the highway.
    They have 15 days from my initial email to have a formal response. Sometime likely by midweek next week. And the 60 days to complete entire process including testing at the public school and observation at his private school.
    I told them I was curious about a sensory processing concern but not add, adhd, or odd.
    Mr. Gil when given an opportunity did not say anything good about him during or after. Very pessimistic.
    Not the most helpful so its all on me to figure this out and I have to do better for everyone. Im sure they will want to do the testing. Im scared for kiddo through it all. Labeled, packaged, put in a box. Maybe it wont be like that in the end. Wont know til we get it done. Going to continue day by day and do extra positive stuff.

    DJIA almost made 27,000 earlier. President Trump has a 49% approval rating in the Rasmussen Daily Tracking poll today. 10 points better than Obama at the same period in his presidency.

    I just realized that Tucker ATE my silicone laptop keyboard cover (got this in August). This is the second one, and Amazon has discontinued this item.

    ADD: I found another one, and ordered. Maybe I can find some way to stick it down.

    Gas prices are way up. I filled up last Wednesday at 3.59 gallon as they were increasing to 3.79. The guy said they INCREASED prices to be comparable to the higher priced alternates. Just drove by today, its 3.94 a gallon but the competition up the street is 3.99.
    This is riduculous. Prices up biggly the past few weeks. I hope the gas tax gets repealed.

      That’s not as bad as out in bush Alaska where fuel must be barged in (summer only), but it is certainly worse than here on the road system. I just filled up this morning for $3.34/gallon. California must be taxing you to death, Gil; why am I not surprised? Anytime I feel like the price of gas is just too much, I remember that out in Bethel they’ve been paying $7.50/gallon for the last several years. ‘Course they only have 20 miles of road there, but you have to run your car for a half hour every morning in the winter to warm it up before you can go anywhere. And nobody has garages.

        I dont complain about AK. Everything has to be flown or barged. Its certainly a frontier.
        Taxes are 41 cents a gallon for state, plus they switch formula for summer and winter. Theyre blaming opec, iran, etc…and of course POTUS. Its too much. We havent been this high for a long time.
