Comments on Christine Blasey-Ford’s handwritten statement

The following was posted by Clarice Feldman on Facebook. I added paragraph breaks for easier reading, and added an image of Christine Blasey-Ford’s handwritten statement. This statement was prepared by her just before her polygraph examination, at the request of the examiner.email from a former colleague:

Many years ago while employed at OSI, I took a course given by an Israeli psychologist, who was in my opinion, funded by the Mossad. He was absolutely brilliant. I have the certificate buried somewhere in my basement if you need his name. He developed something called “Statement Analysis”, which is widely used for “hands off” interrogation by many law enforcement agencies. All of the other attendees were government types from FBI, CIA, etc.

“Statement Analysis” is based on the hypothesis that “everybody wants to tell everybody about everything”. It picks apart grammatically an individual’s statement for inconsistencies, looking especially at pronoun usage (I, me, she, he, we, they, etc.) and for any omissions in facts or for missing time in the time line established by the witnesses’ statement.

Many years after I left OSI while working as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, I used Statement Analysis to exonerate a falsely accused rapist, much to the chagrin of his accuser. A recently married woman had her ex-boy friend over for one last fling but was discovered by some neighborhood children. To protect herself, she made a complaint to the Manassas Park Police that he had “raped” her.

The officer assigned to the case, Bob Mosier, is currently the Sherriff of Faquier County, Va. Bob smelled a rat and knew I had taken the “Mossad” inspired course. I met with the accuser and had her make a handwritten statement, similar to the one submitted by Dr. Ford during her pre-polygraph interview. Making the witness write it out in their own hand makes them “own” the statement. Before the statement is written, the interviewer tells the witness to be sure to include everything that happened, and after the statement is written, the interviewer again asks the witness if everything that happened is in the statement. In my case, in Manassas Park, the accuser wrote out the statement, but nowhere in the statement was the fact that the sex was “AGAINST HER WILL”.

When I confronted her with this glaring omission, she admitted the rape allegation was false and she did it to protect herself from discovery in her tryst. Her ex-boy friend had called her up and asked for one last fling, the payment for which was that he would return some compromising photos of the accuser he had taken during their relationship. So he was a cad of the first order, but not a rapist. It was a case of “prostitution” gone bad. He never gave up the photos to her but turned them over to the police.

The point of this antidote is, when examining Dr. Ford’s handwritten statement, there is absolutely no mention by Dr. Ford that any of the complained of behavior by Kavanaugh was AGAINST HER WILL. Even if her statement is completely true, there is no evidence that she wasn’t receptive to the boys’ drunken behavior.

Further, there are significant gaps in time in the statement that indicate deception. She didn’t state how she arrived, how she departed and what happened before, “At one point, I went up a small stairwell to use the restroom.” What happened before she went up the stairs? There is missing time between when she arrived at the party and when she went up the stairs. This indicates, according to my training, that she is hiding something. Perhaps that she was drinking excessively which would impair her memory, or that she was invited upstairs and she went willingly. Who knows?

One thing is certain, “Statement Analysis” has been widely taught in this country and if asked, the retired FBI polygrapher will admit why he made her give the hand written statement, and probably would also admit that he admonished Dr. Ford to write a “complete statement” leaving nothing out about the incident. If he didn’t admonish her, he would have been remiss in his examination and would thereby call into question its results.I don’t know if it is significant, but did you notice that she signed her name as “Christine Blasey”, not Christine Ford or Christine Blasey-Ford?

Okay, my first comment is that I am a pretty bad printer. I am better at cursive. Her printing looks like a child’s. Second, because of that, I can’t tell if this “educated” woman can spell or not. It appears she can’t. I am not impressed. 🙄 That email from the former colleague was very interesting.

Mark McClish stated, “Therefore, he uses an article that seems right to him but violates the rules of grammar.” Poor grammar apparently indicates a person is being deceptive.

From the “former colleague email” shown in Stella’s post: “Making the witness write it out in their own hand makes them ‘own’ the statement.” Does the incorrect grammar used here make the colleague’s statement deceptive?

BTW, shouldn’t writing out statements to an investigator come under the recently given advice to say nothing to any official about any incident? LOL!

Most people can do this intuitively, imo. But most people do not trust their own judgment, and misinterpret visual cues, focus on too small a piece of the entire picture, or overthink the whole thing.
And that is just another opinion that is worth exactly what it cost you to read it.

The Israeli guy’s analysis is quite interesting, and is most likely closest to the truth. Will read further on czar’s link, tyvm for the link.

Btw, notice her handwriting (printed) is slightly slanted to the left = shy, introvert. Except for the signature, which is cursive and slanted heavily to the right = bold, extrovert. Quite a dichotomy.
The word “me” is written too small in relation to the other words, and the capitalized word “I” is nearly the same size as the other letters. Odd. The printing at the beginning of the piece is written heavier than that at the bottom. Why? Hand was tired? Unconsciously shrinking back into herself?

    Comments on Ford’s written recollections:

She writes awkwardly and uses language strangely. Is that her usual mode of writing? Or is it particular to this statement? Ford seems to pick and choose when to be vague and when to be specific. Why did she remember that the stairway was a “small stairwell” which would indicate to me it was narrow. Or did she mean “short”? And do any of you use the term “stairwell” when speaking of stairs in a home? In an office building, yes; home, no–at least I don’t. Or is that colloquial? Wouldn’t it be more normal for a person to simply say, “I went upstairs to use the bathroom”? Why include that extra descriptive word?

Comments on Ford’s Senate hearing testimony:

I’m wondering if she is showing signs in every-day life of dementia or even Alzheimer’s. It may be that the girlish manner she used in portions of her testimony is mental regression due to one of these disorders, and not just calculated to gain sympathy. If not dementia, I do think she has a personality disorder of some type.

Does she seem like a professional person to you? I know college professors come in all personality types, but she seems to me to be incompetent, toxic, unattractive in personality, too “bright” with the smiles and big eyes, and alternatively, too “dull” or too “weepy.” Granted, I could not stomach watching her testimony in its entirety; so perhaps the portions I saw were unusual and she was straight-on professional and competent the rest of the time.

As a survivor, and a volunteer with many other survivors, I do believe that you are right on..Too many inconsistencies in her story with very little self-knowledge of the events herself.
No psychologists or even lawyer in their right mind would have put their client out there like Ford’s people have put her out there…All Ford’s story does is hurt others that are real victims, especially since there are way too others like Ford that are doing the same thing.

I heard a lady the other day who worked for years with rape victims in a D.A. office. She was saying that always the greatest hindrance to true victims not being believed is the fault of women not men. Far too many women make false accusations against men and without physical evidence it’s hard for a police officer or prosecutor to believe them due to how many false accusations they deal with.
She said great strides had been hard earned over the years but this #metoo movement is hurting the cause and these outrageous accusations that you hear about everywhere is going to seriously move them back decades.
She was pretty furious with democrats and these women.

I am too, for it is so hard for those of us out there. Some of us are forced to live with it because prior to the 80s/90s, one was blamed for what they did…
I for one was even told that at least I had a roof over my head twice, even though the second time I was standing there with a black & blue face & eye that was so swollen I could not see through it.
Yet God stands by us & we are able to use these tragedies to help others get the true help they need.

That is why I think when it is proven a woman has falsely accused a man of rape or attempted rape she should be punished with jail time. These women ruin the lives of the men they accuse including wrongly sending many to prison and on the other side of the coin they hurt women who are victims.

Yes, an interesting point, regarding her choice of words. A stairwell and stairs are not the same thing. The stairs are what you walk on, but a stairwell is the space they are in. Most people don’t refer to stairwells unless, as you said, they are in places like apartments or office buildings, because there, they tend to be completely separate, architecturally. In houses, people tend not to think of the space was a “stairwell” because the space is integrated into the house and living space itself. So the use of the word is… odd.

But then, she did bring up that the reason she and her husband went to couple’s therapy was because of their home renovation. That may have included the stairwell of their home, so the word might be more in the forefront of her mind.

The lawyers for Christine Blasey Ford — Brett Kavanaugh’s alleged sex assault victim — blasted the FBI’s “supplemental investigation” into their client’s allegations against the Supreme Court nominee on Tuesday.

The criticism came in the form of a letter sent to FBI head Chris Wray after the lawyers read media reports that said the FBI does not intend to interview either Blasey Ford or Kavanaugh.

“It is inconceivable that the FBI could conduct a thorough investigation of Dr. Ford’s allegations without interviewing her, Judge Kavanaugh, or the witnesses we have identified in our letter to you,” read the letter from Michael Bromwich and Debra Katz.

For someone with a PHD that is the strangest letter I have ever seen, so I have a couple of questions.
Was this the letter she knew was going to be turned into Feinstein? If so this is not a letter anyone with even just a high school education would turn into anyone as a letter to indict someone, not even a close friend or the polygraph taker..
I would make a bet that even Ford would have flunked a student for such an awfully written letter or essay test.
Someone professional takes time with their writing, even when its under timed circumstances like for a test.

IMHO this whole mess is just a huge witch hunt anyway..

Re-read it several times & I would equate it to someone who is a high school dropout. It wasn’t like the polygraph was sprung on her, for from what I understand it was the choice of her and some others.

A couple more observations… When Ford says, “At one point, I went up a small stairwell to use the restroom. At that time, I was pushed into a bedroom…”, is she indicating the boys followed her up the stairs subsequently or sneak surreptitiously behind her as she was climbing the stairs…not likely if they were as drunk as she says.

Or were the two boys waiting upstairs for her? If so, how would they know she would be coming up to use the bathroom?

I know lots of people use euphemisms for “bathroom”–the loo, the john, the head, etc. Is it common to use the word “restroom” when you are in a house? Once again, an office building would have “restrooms” and usually no one says “I have to go to the bathroom” when in an office.

When writing the statement, did she feel embarrassed using the term “bathroom” and subconsciously felt “restroom” didn’t give off a vibe of being disrobed?

Like I said, she uses odd wording that makes her seem an odd person.

I do believe that there is a good possibility Ford had a incident as a “drunken” teen.
Do believe that she was so drunk that she dared not tell anyone, especially her parents.
However the incident that she describes sounds similar to ones that about 50% of teens had in high school Kissing and petting got out of hand with the guy grinding on top. The girl ended up slapping the guy & either running or informing them to take them home now. Oh yea even in the 60s I had a couple, and many of my friends did to. Will admit that there being way more guys at the get together than girls is strange & do wonder why any teen girl with an ounce of sense would go to a get together such as that.
Wondering if Ford is trying to put her own feelings of guilt onto someone else??

I said the same thing about a boy groping her and trying to remove her clothes. Most girls don’t develop PTSD over it though, either she’s the biggest snowflake in the world or she’s smart enough to know idiot democrats would fall all over themselves for the trauma she went through.

What though about her story that is so stupid to me is the other boy kept jumping on top of them. To me that sounds like two boys playing around acting stupid like teenage boys tend to do or a friend being obnoxious like teen boys tend to do and coming in on his friend making out with a girl and interrupting him. It certainly sounds nothing like attempted rape.

I think she made the story up, but she used some event in her life to feed off of to try and make herself sound more credible.

I could see her and a few or group of boys playing around acting stupid or I could see her at a party and going upstairs with a boy for a make out session and his obnoxious friend coming in to break up the party. So it would be easy to change it was these two boys, and change it from being what it was to something else without having to make the entire thing up. She had to be careful though to not describe where/when because then someone could have came forward and said they remembered what she was talking about, but it was not what she said it was and neither was it the people she said it was.
