    Its going to be a good day, because we are here, because we have healed, have thrived, have reignited a passion for America with a leader who truly does love the good ol USA. We have a drumbeat of patriotism that I havent seen since 9/11, through MAGA that will hopefully survive long past President Trump’s 8 years. POTUS was there too. Benghazi still deserves justice metered out to certain people but we have a leader who will not forget them either. Today we remember, we might cry, we give extra hugs to the ones we still have near us. And then we saddle up for whatever is next because we are Americans, and we dont quit!

    How times change. Remember the car window-mounted flags we just about all had? All of the pro-America bumper stickers and posters that were all over? In NOLA we contributed at a local grocery to buy the NYC fire department a big pumper truck to replace one of the ones crushed at the Towers. Four years later the NYCFD drove it back down here and manned it to fill in for those lost when the NOLA FDs flooded in Katrina. BTW, the retirement home building across the street from out house was the biggest fire department in the world during Katrina as FDs from around the US sent manned trucks to NOLA to fight post-K fires.
    Just 7 short years later the US had a Moslem apologist POtuS, if not a closet Moslem, who (if you remember) fought wearing an American flag collar pin. Even when directly confronted he still made weak excuses as to why as the American president he refused to wear a flag pin. As the furor rose though his handlers convinced His Questionable Citizenship Highness to wear one and he mostly did.
    Now we have the same government that was attacked, the same Congress that one of the planes was targeting, wholesale flooding the nation with Islamists who are vetted to a lesser degree than Mickey D employees. Imagine on September 12th, 2001, if the President and all of the Rats in Congress had said they were going to open the gates and allow untold thousands of unvetted Moslems from unfriendly countries flood in and be pout on the public dole? How times change.

      It’s unfathomable how the 9-11 victims were not even a decade in their graves when a “Moslem apologist POtuS, if not a closet Moslem” is elected as the Usurper to the highest office in the land…& while there he systematically installs Muslim Brotherhood affiliated people into some of the highest positions in the land. & the MB’s stated goal is to take over America from within & impose Sharia Law. How could people be so blind & naive??? We were attacked by Islam & then openly invite the obvious trojan horse of BHO into our house–it is incomprehensible!

        As I posted in another thread, Obama was the one who pushed giving the PLO personnel at their delegation in DC full diplomatic immunity. Full diplomatic immunity to representatives of a non-state, a concept created by the UN – it’s unheard of. Full diplomatic immunity to a group of self proclaimed terrorists who have the blood of victims from around the world on their hands and still openly advocate the murder of Israelis – this is who Obama gave full diplomatic immunity to.
        Turn in those guns, turn your back on Christianity, drink al Kool Aid and embrace the suck.

    Father Mychal Judge, victim one of the towers collapse.

    Others died before him but his was the first body recovered. He entered the towers to minister to the dying, as was his calling.

    Praise God for calling up such men to minister to his people in our most desperate moments. I have told my kids over and over that when I am dying I want a priest first, doctor later.

      BTW, I briefly and insanely considered reposting my article on the dogs of 9/11 over at the Tree. I went back and checked last year’s posts comments to see if I wanted to mess with it, as I usually get stupid on 9/11.

      I fail to see at all how expressing appreciation for rescue dogs takes one thing away from the dead.

No matter how small. You have no idea what God is calling you to. But he needs you. He needs me. He needs all of us.

    Traditionally, the Senate hits the road in October of an election year. But the Senate is throwing tradition out the window this year.

    Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is planning to keep the chamber in session for a significant portion of October if not four entire weeks, costing Democrats key campaign trail days and allowing the Senate to continue its work into the fall, according to five Republican officials. The Kentucky Republican wants to keep cranking through as many lifetime judicial nominations and executive nominations as he can with his majority in the balance and the GOP still with the unilateral ability to confirm President Donald Trump’s picks.

    Moreover, the Senate GOP has only two members who are considered vulnerable in the election: Ted Cruz of Texas and Dean Heller of Nevada. Democrats, meanwhile, are defending 10 seats total in states that Trump won in 2016, with at least four considered extremely competitive.

    Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
