      Thank you, Lucille. May your day be a beautiful one. I just found this verse and it’s so inspirational: “The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

        Beautiful verse, sand. It just struck me how important singing and music is to God. It’s mentioned all over the Bible. Is there any culture which does not have some sort of singing or chanting if the people are left to themselves and not oppressed by political or religious edicts?

    LAPD got a new police chief. Seems very corrupt out the gate. Got a VERY unusual 1.27 million retirement payout for a 2 month retirement before being rehired. That was planned, guaranteed. Now his first big project: eliminate warrants for all the homeless.
    Great. Why bother arresting anyone at all?

    “LAPD Chief Michel Moore described the proposal as a “radical solution” to ease the pressure on the court system, jails and police stations, which are being overwhelmed daily with hundreds of people arrested on these warrants.

    Moore said the amnesty ideas would cover only longstanding bench warrants for homeless people who failed to show up in court for minor offenses. He stressed that the LAPD has no plans to change how officers enforce various “quality-of-life” crimes but hoped the shift would result in a more effective, streamlined process for handling these cases.

    Some homeless people have piled up multiple warrants, he said, and it doesn’t make sense to keep those on the books.

    “People need to obey the law… [but] we have people with 10 citations in the system, some are five or 10 years old,” Moore said in an interview. “What is the point of five or 10 warrants in the system? They are clogging up the system.”

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

    Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

    I’m watching Yellowstone Kelly. The story is pretty good. The scenery is great. But I am having two problems with the movie. One is the music. It is so loud and busy. The other is their hair. It stars Clint Walker and Edd Byrnes (of 77 Sunset Strip). Clint has a very nice haircut (he is supposed to be a trapper) and Edd has a beautiful, finely coiffed head of hair and turns the collar of his shirt up, right out of the late 50’s. Unfortunately, this is supposed to be the 1850’s, not the 1950’s. LOL

      The very earliest memory I have of watching television was watching Clint Walker as Cheyenne Bodie on the show Cheyenne.

      This gave birth to my love of western movies, tv shows, books, and American history. I still remember now much I loved that show, and I think t went off the air when I was about five.
