    I’ve been noticing something significant on twitter…

    Attacks on pro-lifers have increased. Pro-life vs. pro-choice arguments have increased in number and intensity (I’ve been in a few myself).

    There is a big upsurge in articles and posts highlighting how “Christians” can “support” abortion. Ditto posts by so-called Christian leaders/ministers/priests, promoting and excusing abortion. Thoroughly repugnant, of course.

    Trump’s nomination of Kavanaugh has been the precipitating factor for this, I think. Pro-abortionists are sensing real threats to their status quo, and have ramped up their attacks; trying to gather support for their twisted point of view.

    It will get more intense, IMO. Much more intense.

              Exactly. Dan Rather is blathering on Twitter about how he likens himself to the fictional character Col. Nathan Jessep from A Few Good Men. Rather said when President Trump says that the press is fake and dangerous that he would like to respond with “You can’t handle the truth”.

              😏

              What a bloody moron, Rather is a known liar who tried to alter a presidential election by presenting a forged document as factual. If Col. Jessep’s character was real he’d put Rather in concrete boots and toss him in the ocean.

      It isn’t really about Kavanaugh as an individual. No individual is perfect, but it is what he represents that scares the living daylights out of them. It is much deeper than the change of one person on SCOTUS.

      As Plain Jane alludes to in her response to me on today’s Open Thread at CTH [it’s a good one] it is about who or what they view as ultimate authority.

      Most of them have drop-kicked God and general societal morals out the door. They have listened to the siren song of evil, and they want to continue to listen to it. Current pro-abortion laws contribute to allowing them to continue that. If those laws are threatened–as I believe they are, but certainly as THEY believe they are–then they may well be forced to confront the reality of God, and the reality of their ultimate condemnation for aligning themselves with Satan. This scares them s***less, consciously or subconsciously. Because deep inside, they know what is right and what is wrong.

      IMO, that is what is causing the upsurge in frantic and unhinged attacks on pro-life advocates, and the large number of articles claiming that it is okay to be Christian and support abortion. They cannot afford to be proven wrong, because that would mean acknowledging their ongoing sin. And the fact that many of them are murderers.

      They will fight to the death to prevent the blinders being ripped off their eyes.

    We went and saw dinosaurs over the weekend. Boy, kiddo was super excited. The Natural History Museum in L.A. is right next to the Science center and each one is a full day. Definitely worth it but Im not going back to L.A. anytime soon.
    Someone got into my car but didnt steal everything. Maybe scared off. When we left and passed a McDonalds, a homeless woman was camped out 2 feet from the pick up window and homeless all over.A purple low rider was bouncing as it drove the fwy. I was almost in a crash at least twice with a car whose driver and passenger were smoking meth.
    On the bright side, fairly clear traffic so I got out of there quick! But kiddo had a great time and thats what mattered.😥😄

    Staff at the home in northern Germany raised the alarm after the men went missing on Friday night.

    After a frantic search, police found the metal-heads ‘disoriented and dazed’ at 3am in the grounds of Wacken Open Air, the world’s biggest heavy metal festival.

    The men refused to leave so had to be escorted back to their nursing home in a taxi with a patrol car following, reported Deutsche Welle.

    ‘They obviously liked the metal festival,’ said police spokeswoman Merle Neufeld.

    Headline acts included Judas Priest, Danzig and Hatebreed.

    This year organisers arranged for a 7km pipeline to deliver thousands of litres of beer to avoid the need for trucks which wreck the ground and cause traffic.

      I have seen elderly people come racing toward the door in their wheelchairs. You’ve got to be damned fast to get in and out.

      I don’t blame them one bit. It’s unconscionable that they are locked in. Some places never even let them sit outside.

      Sure, some with dementia can’t be let out without supervision, but they treat everyone that way.

        My friend’s aunt was always escaping to have a cigarette (which she would sometimes set things on fire with), or partially undressed on her forays into the big bad world. I wonder if the door locking isn’t also to keep people out.

        I hate to stereotype, but whenever I see unicorn hair on men or women, I give a wider berth and dont associate. Even more so if it includes piercings, ear plugs, or certain types of clothing. Not everyone is a fruitcake, but generally anyone who projects an outward appearance like that has some issues.
        I hope the trend stops as more people go back to work. Same with man buns and un manicured beards.

          I like what Wictor says about people like this, “When I see someone like this, I immediately know that there is nothing extraordinary about them.”

          They are trying to show the world who they are rather than be who they are. That means that they have no idea who they are. They are simply caricatures, they are ignorant of who they are and of what cause they propagating.

          And, man-o-man the web is trying clean up the freakish way these people present themselves, pictures are disappearing at a cheetahs pace.

          I see someone dressed as Antifa, wearing a camo t-shirt and crossed bandoleers, like a fluffy wedding cake – anything my personal enculturation makes my Spidey senses tingle, I get wary. Come on, they dress like that JUST TO GET A REACTION – wouldn’t it be judgemental not to react? Screw it, they think they win either way.

          Sidebar on the judgemental as it morphs into the evil and despised profiling. NOTE: Israel has not had an El Al aircraft hijacked since July, 1968. There23q1q2 have been a number of notorious hijackings of planes full of Jews but they were other countries’ planes, not El Al.
          The US both prior to and post-911 had asked Israel to send security personnel to train the US personnel on how they maintain such security without heavily disrupting passenger flow. Each time the US government and airlines’ officials have rejected their methods as we think it’s profiling. So instead of using tried and proven methods decades old we target, disrupt, annoy and feel up everyone so that the real and most likely terrorists are not upset. Everyone must be insulted equally.
          BTW, the government’s been using at least one Israeli technique and has been secretly checking up on as many of the passengers on as many flights as they can. Now that thaty’s out expect the whiners and tissue wringers to work on getting that stopped too.

            That explains why my flight tickets with Delta were marked as having that “TSA Secure Check” checked in green with me going through the faster TSA Secure security line. Perplexing to me because you can actually PAY for that designation – like $80, and I hadn’t. I wonder if they’re noting that on the ticket as I’m not in any suspicious databases or so TSA figures I’ll be an easier security scan. (No because I forgot I had my cell in my bra and it took about 5 minutes for the TSA gal to come up with the right question to ascertain why I was tripping off their metal detector. Sigh.)

              I had SCI access to programs most peiople had never even heard of, including presidential access at one point, and I still got treated like a mulklah…no, they wouldn’t dare treat a mullah like that…the day after I retired. Of course the TSA screener also didn’t recognize my retired military ID card when I presented it for identification and one of the lurkers is a DHS employee and TSA frequently doesn’t recognize his official ID so I don’t feel left out. Younthink the Israelis would hire these clunks?
              I’m traveling to Dallas late next week and have TSA PreCheck so let’s see what the clowns do this time.

    Coming from the Way Back Machine, here is an interesting (but somewhat long) article from the New York Times Magazine in 1984 on Donald J. Trump. They actually imply that he would make a great President. Touched by God, indeed.

    FTA:
    He says that his concern for nuclear holocaust is not one that popped into his mind during any recent made-of-television movie. He says that it has been troubling him since his uncle, a nuclear physicist, began talking to him about it 15 years ago.

    His greatest dream is to personally do something about the problem and, characteristically, Donald Trump thinks he has an answer to nuclear armament: Let him negotiate arms agreements – he who can talk people into selling $100 million properties to him for $13 million. Negotiations is an art, he says and I have a gift for it.

    The idea that he would ever be allowed to got into a room alone and negotiate for the United States, let alone be successful in disarming the world, seems the naive musing of an optimistic, deluded young man who has never lost at anything he has tried. But he believes that through years of making his views known and through supporting candidates who share his views, it could someday happen.

    He is constantly asked about his interest in running for elective office. Absolutely not, he answers. All of the false smiles and the red tape. It is too difficult to really do anything.

    There are so many stupidly obvious typos in it that some sentences are hard to make sense of. I corrected 5 in this excerpt alone.

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

    Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

    Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

    Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
