  1. Happy Thursday everyone!

Todays painting is The Little Mermaid by Rie Cramer 1955:

The first Blaschka glass sea creature is the beautiful & ornate Athorybia rosacea jellyfish:

Then a red Squid Histioteuthis bonnellii aptly also called The Umbrella Squid:

And finally the Astroides calycularis aka Star coral which look like a little tropical island covered in bright orange palm trees!:

Have a great day everyone! 🙂

    New I. White Supremacy Culture

The National Education Association believes that, in order to achieve racial and social justice, educators must acknowledge the existence of White supremacy culture as a
primary root cause of institutional racism, structural racism, and White privilege. Additionally, the Association believes that the norms, standards, and organizational structures manifested in White supremacy culture perpetually exploit and oppress people of color and serve as detriments to racial justice. Further, the invisible racial benefits of White privilege, which are automatically conferred irrespective of wealth, gender, and other factors, severely limit opportunities for people of color and impede full achievement of racial and social justice. Therefore, the Association will actively advocate for social and educational strategies fostering the eradication of institutional racism and White privilege perpetuated by White supremacy culture.

Just another excuse racist white lefties want to give for minorities who don’t work hard, overcome whatever REAL bias they may encounter, and prosper. These leftists are happier when they think they see oppression than when they don’t see it.

Meaning is given to their lives when they can put blame upon others while feeling good about themselves as the persons who take care of minorities. They get all excited about pointing out to innocent whites that they really are the bad guys. It’s the typical bullying, terroristic attitudes, and superior elitism they have always exhibited.

I saw this posted on FB by a group that promotes home schools and one idiot woman kept arguing how good this is. One of her dumbest comments were that as long as their were laps, racism would be taught. I flipped it around on her and told her as their was a lap black kids would be taught white people are the boogie man.

You see though only her, a black person can see the problem, the rest of us are blinded by our complexion.

The problem with that is the number of idiotic teachers who will continue giving their money to them.

I was talking to a recently retired teacher during all the bs in Oklahoma. She told me that the entire atmosphere is different today than 30 years ago and that she watched it changing over the years with every new crop of teachers. She had planned to teach longer than she did, but she said it got to the point she couldn’t stand it any longer that it was like a cult mentality and those like her lived in a hostile environment.
Oklahoma was already a right to work state, so teachers couldn’t be forced to pay dues to the union, yet she said there were only 3 other teachers besides her that didn’t pay union dues at her school.

I’m not one who buries my head in the sand, so I’ve been on the dump public education train for a long time. However until the bs this year I didn’t realize how widespread it is in our public schools.
Oklahoma and Texas are red states, when it’s this bad in those states folks need to wake up because we’re just about out of time.

It is very sad for me because for the most part I grew up with good teachers and teachers were to be respected. I have a totally different opinion now, if someone tells me they’re a public school teacher I lose all respect for them.

Maybe you shouldn’t judge all by the actions of some, but during all of our bs, I only witnessed a few teachers stand up and call out what they were doing. When I was gathering signatures, I did not have even one teacher act civil. They called us every name in the book, they attempted to intimidate us.

My DD has worked for the district for a number of years ( not as a teacher ) She’s been alarmed at some things she’s seen and is very glad that she didn’t decide to be a teacher. She is a huge advocate for homeschooling as a result of her experiences.

There are 3 school districts all around the same distance from us, one of them I knew was a liberal cesspool. It is actually one of the top districts in the state for teacher pay, didn’t stop them from striking for a raise though. They’ve had several teachers who have molested children, but their just bad seeds according to the district. They had one teacher who showed pornography to 6th grade students, just another bad seed. One who exposed himself to 7th grade students, another bad seed. SMH

Another of the schools I thought was more neutral.
The third I thought was conservative.
They were exposed though during all the bs.

I hope to see the day that public education is destroyed.

Oregon Muse writes at Ace of Spades

“Last night I fell asleep in front of the TV and I had a dream and I heard a CNN infobabe saying “We now interrupt the regularly scheduled hair-on-fire outrage about the evil Brett Kavanaugh and his normal wife and normal children to bring you this new hair-on-fire outrage about Putin getting Trump to kiss his butt in Helsinki. After this plays out, we may be bringing you more of that hair-on-fire outrage you may have forgotten, the bit where Trump personally stuffs little foreign children into cages and then laughs at them while they cry. Or maybe it will be the hair-on-fire outrage from not believing every word spoken by Peter Strzok whose super-duper patriotism is unquestionable because we’re not questioning it. But first, back to Helsinki where we’ve just received word that Vladimir Putin is raping Donald Trump behind the podium like a Viking and so here is a panel of experts who will tell you all about their hair-on-fire outrage from these events….” And then I woke up. Holy crap. No more eating fermented pineapples while watching CNN late night, I can tell you. But I’ve got one question. Why is it that, no matter how bad Trump may appear to look, his enemies always manage to make themselves look worse?”

I just read this, and it might help:

Coat the pill (or gelcap) thinly with butter or soft cheese. This isn’t to disguise the pill as a treat, since you already know that doesn’t work for your dog. It’s to help the pill slide down and to protect the pill’s own coating in case you don’t get your dog to swallow it on your first try.

Have a syringe of water or plain, unsalted meat broth ready in advance. As soon as you’ve given the pill, squirt the broth or water into your dog’s mouth. Aim from the side, not the front. Swallowing the liquid will help keep the pill from sticking on its way down.

Another suggestion is a pill gun. It helps get the pill to the back of the mouth without getting bitten.

Ah, a pill gun. I will find out where I can get one. I will also try the butter thing. Part of the problem with this pill is that it is very large, intended to be given as a treat. My labs would just have grabbed it and swallowed it. So, when I break it up, it is very jagged and makes it easy for her to push it back out. I tried crushing it into a powder and putting it in peanut butter. Back out on the floor.

Being a sick psychopath might be an unchangeable thing too. Doesn’t mean they should be accommodated.

The world is reeling without recognition of unchanging, absolute Truth, and a fixed moral compass. People seem to think that they can just say “Oh, that’s how I am” and it’s okay.

No. not for the big, terrible wrongs such as pedophilia, and not for the small wrongs such as my rudeness when I snap out orders rather than asking family members politely.

Just because people “are” a certain way does not mean they get a pass. Some things are savage and criminal and should be stamped out by society. Period.

Good afternoon Stella and Imaginary Friends. Hope this day is going joyfully for you.
Stella, this one is long, so feel free to delete it (if it does not go to spam, as all my comments do lately).

News has not been so positive lately, aside from the economic news which, for those of us on the North Coast, is more than good enough for us.

Much has been made of FBI Dir Christopher Wray speaking at Aspen yesterday, and saying China is our biggest threat. Having listened last night and again this a.m., that is correct.
Something no one has mentioned – Dir Wray also said that Strzock, as well as several others from the IG Report, has been recommended for discipline, from presumably the OPR.
That looks to be lukewarm for what should be happening, which is vigorous prosecution, but it is something, nonetheless.

Wray spent the better part of an hour with Lester Holt and audience members trying to have Wray condemn Pres Trump. Wray never defended Pres Trump, neither did Wray condemn Pres Trump; Wray deflected. sigh
And so it goes. My opinion? Meh – just another Swamp Dweller, albeit not one of the dirtier ones.

A bit of uplifting for you, if you’ve 5 minutes or so. From the latest “Russia psychological warfare propoganda,” the Walk Away campaign, here is a lady who is so well-spoken, and whose arguments are so persuasive, one wonders how a Russian could be so good. Around 7 min, but listen at 1.5x or higher; she speaks slowly.
    Have a Great afternoon.

Newsweek reports sarcastic explanation of “Allahu akbar” as “a message of love” as if it were serious
July 18, 2018 by Robert Spencer

“Dear Richard,” Professor Gad Saad remarked. “Arabic is my mother tongue. When properly translated, ‘Allahu Akbar’ means ‘We love all people but hold a special fondness for Jews, women, and gays.’ Don’t worry. It’s a message of love, tolerance, and liberalism.”

Gad was being sarcastic, but Newsweek’s intrepid reporter Benjamin Fearnow reports his words as if they were evidence of what he calls “the auditory affability of azaan.”

I’m now on day three of having absolutely zero, zip, zilch contractors in my home and I’m doing a happy dance. I’ve reached the point of the renovation where my “sweat equity” comes into play and I have to pull the whole thing together. I’ll be honest, I’m exhausted and I haven’t even begun.

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
