              We memorized Longfellow’s Hiawatha in grade school.

              It was just before the government intentionally taught us to hate literature and reading.

              I got my foot in the door just before the DOE forcefully closed it. I read every book in the school library, including the dictionaries and encylopediae, and then in the town library, too. Mom had to take us to the next town over for new books. I feel bad for all the grades after mine. They were intentionally deprived and experimented upon, for the sake of the deep state. I think I hate the DOE more than I hate the FBI. The Federal Dept of Education is nothing but poison.

                  Poetry reading in my home was always enjoyed when I was a chile, and continued to be for many years with my own child, and still is (by me, at least; the dog doesn’t care).

                    The big red Webster’s dictionary was my favorite toy. From as early as I can remember.

                    My brother’s was the Evel Knevil pull-start-ripcord motorcycle. That sucker was FAST!

                    (He used to sign his homework “Evil Knevil”, no joke.)

                    When I plant seeds, like talking to young people, which I do a lot in my town and business, I tell them this, when I see that they are on a self-destructive and/or suicidal path: “Think about your younger brother, man. In 30 years, do you want that kid to still be asking what you would be like if you were still alive?”

                    Last tech my brother saw was 4 1/4″ floppies and 1200 baud before he took himself out in a car. in a garage, and in a fifth of some liquior. I literally have dreams (I’m 47 now), where I’m showing him all the stuff he missed, like he was just away for while, and they’re uncanny. “What would he be like today?”

                    And I do know a few people on that self-hate path. All I can do is plant seeds.

                  It pleases me so that my son and DIL don’t watch TV, but read voraciously. After dinner and the girl’s baths, they all go into their office and read. Even before she was two, the oldest girl would take in some books and quietly look at them. I know for sure she will be a reader. Oh, and when they put her to bed they read all the books she brings to them.

                    I have a funny story about my grandson. My daughter and SIL are voracious readers, and there are books everywhere in their home – even in the bathroom. They also read to the boys from the time they were born.

                    Any way, one day my daughter realized that her oldest son was taking books to read in the bathroom – even when he didn’t have to go. She realized that he had seen his father taking books into the bathroom, so he figured that was the thing to do!

        Glad you enjoyed it, sand! I may have written this before, but one of the few things I remember learning in school about the Great Lakes was HOMES–how you remember the names. LOL! Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior. Handy if you’re playing trivia.

        Surest way in the world in retail to lose your job is to touch a thief. Three big retail companies I’ve worked for, and it’s always the same on that, and they never make an exception.

        In the case of a gun, which of course isn’t loaded, I still think the manager did the right thing. And from having been involved in the daily acccounting for weapons, from receiving to sales, and auditing (again daily) all the steps between, I can tell you the ATF would have come down on them. Not necessarily punitively, but who wants the hassle of government inspections and having to prove securitynto them?

        OTOH, the reason stores do not want employees to approach thieves, only follow, is primarily for safety of the employees and customers. It only takes one incident with a thief who has a gun and shoots up the place to be a nightmare for the company.

      I think part of Trump’s plan is to exhaust the left (in the US and abroad) before the midterms. How long can one scream and protest? Who has that kind of of time or energy? Plus, protesting costs money — he is draining their finances. One of the strategies of winning is to make it difficult, if not impossible, for your enemies to wage battle.

        Funny us folks in Wisconsin have seen this before.

        We watched the Leftist Nutters spend their whole bankroll, we watched representatives flee the state to avoid voting, we saw all manner of deranged humanity dance, smear poop, scream, attack people, vandalize property, use children as props, call us every nasty name under the sun, we heard their perpetual drumming in the beautiful Capitol, we saw doctors write fraudulent notes to employers and teachers, we saw teachers act like they had schizophrenia, we heard the dire predictions that Walker would not survive the recall election, we were told all hope is lost, stay home.

        Then at about 9:30 only an hour and a half after the polls closed we heard a stunned TMJ4 declare that in a “stunning early night, Walker was the victor.”

        That is part of the reason I have been so relaxed about the final outcome here, we already lived it in Wisconsin and Walker turned out to be a piece of sh*t, now we have President Trump who caused Walker to be the first man out the door in the republican primaries.

        President Trump is amazing. I love Wictor’s line and always give him credit when I use it because it is so perfect, “I have delineated politics to President Trump, I don’t worry about it any more.”

    I really, teally, really hate the ugly side of America. Five days ago the body of a woman was found in a nearby community. The FBI opened a murder investigation, neither the FBI nor the media have disclosed the woman’s name, age or any other information, and on the 9th, the FBI stated that there would be no forthcoming information.

    The woman is a well-known member of a large family in the community.
    The woman was a drug user.
    The woman was 31 years of age.
    She was the mother of three children
    She was a native American
    MS-13 gang members took up residence in the community several years ago

    Senator John Tester helped build this..

    But amidst the chaos of the confirmation fight, Kavanaugh took a moment to do something incredibly human.

    A passerby spotted the new Supreme Court nominee on her way home from work Wednesday night, and sent these pictures to The Daily Caller News Foundation. Kavanaugh was serving meals to the homeless outside Catholic Charities in downtown Washington, less than 48 hours after he was tapped to succeed Justice Anthony Kennedy.

    According to his D.C. Circuit biography, the judge is a volunteer with the St. Maria’s Meals program, which serves hot dinners to the capital’s poor. During his acceptance remarks on Monday night, the judge mentioned that his Jesuit high school education taught him to be “a man for others.”

    A fellow volunteer confirmed that the judge signed up for the event some time ago and chose to keep the date, developments in his professional life notwithstanding.

    Really classy move, Your Honor.

    The Trump administration said Thursday that nearly half of the children ages 5 and under who were separated from grown-ups at the U.S. border can’t be reunited with their parents, mostly because many of the adults are violent criminals – and some lied about being the minors’ parents.

    President Donald Trump had claimed Tuesday that illegal immigrants and human traffickers were ‘using children’ to manipulate America’s immigration system and make it easier for adults to enter the U.S. without papers and remain there.

    Of the 103 minors in the youngest age group, the administration has reunited 57 with parents, but the other 46 are ‘ineligible,’ the Justice and Homeland Security Departments reported.

    Eleven of the adults have ‘serious criminal histor[ies],’ the agencies announced, including charges or convictions for child cruelty, kidnapping, murder, human smuggling, domestic violence and narcotics-related crime.

    One of the men is wanted for murder in Guatemala, Chris Meekins, Chief of Staff, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response at the Department of Health and Human Services told reporters on a conference call.

    Seven more were ‘determined not to be a parent’ at all, including three whose deception was discovered through DNA testing.

      The USA is not magic dirt. Somalis in Minnesota are still Somalis in Minnesota, not Americans. Our dirt isn’t magic, and doesn’t change people, individually, or as a group, from other cultures. Iraqis in Dearborn are IRAQIS in Dearborn.

      There is no magic dirt here.

      There is something seriously wrong with these people as a culture. Many of us on the conservative side talk about how primitive and violent Islam is, stuck in time.

      Most Spanish speaking countries (I might throw in a Portuguese speaking one or two) are violently depraved much like most of the Muslims are. And there is the graft and corruption. Generation after generation.

      I don’t want that crap way of life here any more than I want sharia law. Mexican gangs are here. Mexican drugs are here. Mexican crime is here. They aren’t mostly settling in to good old American life, they are bringing whatever mindset it is that causes a huge percentage of their population to be viciously, terribly violent and the other part submissive to that violence.

      Build the wall really high, really fast.

      If you take high-framerate video of anyone on earth, you can find and choose frames that make the subject look evil, just based on what vowel or consonant they are currently pronouncing. The MSM photogs have been doing this for many, many years.

      Talk for a minute. Pronounce the letter “F”. What does your face look like?

      Stand under a chandelier. Look up and to the East. Have a photographer make you look like you have a halo over your head because he’s kneeling at your feet and going for that propaganda.

      It’s easy to make you look stupid, or to make you look like The Sacred, Blessed Prophet of God Almighty, when you can take screenshots and pics.

        I agree there Wooly about high-framerate video, but this cat looked like this often throughout the video from what I have read, (I will watch it later tonight). I have seen some edited clips and Strzok contorts, similar to Louis Farrakhan. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. He almost looks inhuman at times, like Clinton and Farrakhan and Obama.

        The most people said about the physical countenance of James Comey with the same freeze frame abilities available was that he looked like a lying weasel. People have said he looks evil, that he is a sociopath, a narcissist, even evil but they haven’t equated that opinion to his facial expressions alone.

        This is one of the photos of President Trump that the Leftists put out there to show he is 1) crazy and 2) evil.

        Look at the passion behind President Trump’s eyes. He is engaged in what he is saying not overtaken by another entity.

        And then we have The Beast high-frame rate this puppy for a true spine tingler.

        Hillary is a psychopathic sociopath. A true blend of the worst of the worst along with being demonic.

        For me the difference is, 1) Is anybody home behind those eyes? 2) Do they look passionate or overtaken? 3) Are they reigning something in or letting their anger show?

        Strzok absolutely vibrated in one of the clips, he could barely remain in his chair, I thought his his head might start spinning 180° degrees.

        I see clouds of evil in the eyes of Strzok,the Clintons, the Obamas, Farrakhan, Merkel, Trudeau, and others.

        Unprecedented times call for uncomfortable observations.

          Excellent comments, Lovely. I see the same in certain people that you do. Darkness.

          And it’s uncanny how I can tell a Christian girl or guy by talking with them for ten seconds. I don’t think it’s something we consciously see, but that it’s the Spirit in us recognizes the Spirit in them. Maybe it’s that coupled with the Gift of Discernment.

          Our kitchen just got rid of a guy who has satanic tattoos from the top of his head, his whole face, too, to his feet. Every single person in our loving kitchen family got the same vibe — and not because of the tattoos, either. This guy was walking darkness, and I’m so glad he only lasted three days, and that he is moving back to Indiana.
