Been warching the ‘Hunting ISIS’ program on Vice network, I’ve become addicted to it. It’a about Americans who went to Syria, joined up with the Kurds and fought against ISIS, it included both combat and non-combat (medic) volunteers.
It’s become addioctive not for the military aspects but as I look at the destroyed cities and hear the stories from the volunteers and the surviving residents in the liberated cities regarding the barbarity and horrors ISIS visited on them I keep on seeing the US in the not too distant future.

The most sickening thing France could possibly do and perhaps has ever done. CHARLES MARTEL! The hero of the Western world! And they’re just pi**ing on his grave. Beyond horrible! I’ve been angry ever since I read of this new atrocity.

Remember recently when a some ROP adherents tired to storm the Basilica of St. Denis where Martel is entombed? They’d love to turn it into a place where their lies are propagated.

Oh, Lord, please, we beseech you to raise up a French patriot who will lead the people away from this horror!

BTW, at the end of this otherwise informative vid, the narrator makes mention that perhaps the muslim hordes just ran out of steam as some historians say. LIKE H*LL! They TOTALLY wanted France. Losing it was losing face and you know how Arabs hate to lose face.

THIS, THIS!!! new abomination is the payback by the muslims for their ancient losses; make no mistake about it. That France is letting them do it…blankety…blank…blank…blank!

Amazing. You’ve got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything. I submit that athiests and secularists have nothing to fight for, apparently even their own lives. When mankind is all about self rather than the betterment of mankind and yes, God, they have no purpose, meaning, or strength.

And apparently no spine either. A French teenager once led armies in France, and refused to give ground or apostasize in the face or torture and burning at the stake. She had more honor and courage than the whole danged country now does.

Noticing the priests almost immediately when watching the rally, I kept thinking…please, President Trump, don’t acknowledge them, and was so glad he didn’t point to them with thanks for their support.

Every sentient person knows that these same Democrats who are protesting the priests’ attendance at the rally have never marched around abortion centers in defense of children in the womb. Nor have they written letters to the editor about Roe v. Wade or campaigned to rid their state of Planned Parenthood killing establishments.

There will likely be punishment which the priests will take in all humility. God bless them!

    Fifth boy rescued.

Something here is off. The boys are healthy enough to ask for khao pad grape but not healthy enough to see their loved ones? Perhaps they have pneumonia?

    https://nypost.com/2018/07/09/fifth-boy-removed-from-thailand-cave-as-rescue-mission-continues/

A fifth boy was removed Monday from the flooded cave system in northern Thailand, joining four other soccer team members who were rescued Sunday – and leaving seven more youngsters and their coach still inside the cavern, according to reports.

The four boys pulled from the cave Sunday were happy and in good health, authorities said.

“This morning they said they were hungry and wanted to eat khao pad grapao,” Osotthanakorn said, referring to a Thai dish of meat fried with chili and basil and served over rice.

The freed boys are yet to meet their parents, who late Sunday night were yet to be told which of their sons had been removed, according to the UK’s Guardian.

Authorities said a medical team was assessing whether to reunite the boys with their parents soon.

“The medical team is considering whether to let closest relative visit them,” Osotthanakorn said. “It could be a visit through transparent glass rooms. We are discussing this with doctors at the hospital.”

    A Clearer Perspective
Amy Coney Barrett vs. Ruth Bader Ginsburg…
A question of life vs death.

    The left are really disgusting.

    https://spectator.org/amy-coney-barrett-vs-ruth-bader-ginsburg/

“Frankly,” said Ruth Bader Ginsburg in July 2009, “I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion.”

The great added blessing of Roe: Not only could it give women the “right” to abortion, but it could open the way for the federal government, via Medicaid, to fund abortions of children in undesired populations.

That assessment by Ginsburg was provided in a July 7, 2009 piece in the New York Times Magazine, titled, “The Place of Women on the Court.” And for 25 years, succeeding a pro-life justice named Byron White, Ruth Bader Ginsburg has held the Planned Parenthood seat on the nation’s high court, where she has fought for the hopes and dreams of Margaret Sanger’s organization. In fact, she has done so in ways more in keeping with Sanger than liberals would care to admit…

America, according to Planned Parenthood’s founder, must limit these lamentable populations, and she was willing to take big steps to make that happen, including a special kind of segregation. In her 1922 book, The Pivot of Civilization, Sanger urged that “every feeble-minded girl or woman of the hereditary type, especially of the moron class, should be segregated during the reproductive period. Otherwise, she is almost certain to bear imbecile children, who in turn are just as certain to breed other defectives.” But even then, this surely wasn’t enough: “Segregation carried out for one or two generations would give us only partial control of the problem.” What to do then? Well, if a nudge wouldn’t work, then coercion would: “we prefer the policy of immediate sterilization, of making sure that parenthood is absolutely prohibited to the feeble-minded.”

These “defective delinquents” were a “menace.” America needed to “become fully cognizant of the burden of the imbecile upon the whole human race.” Funds should be made available, she counseled in 1922, “by hundreds of millions of dollars, to the care and segregation of men, women, and children who never should have been born.”…

Fast forward to the 1990s, the era of the Clintons. In 1992, Ron Weddington, one of the abortion attorneys in the Roe decision, fired off a letter to Bill Clinton urging sharper measures to limit the birth of America’s defectives: “[Y]ou can start immediately to eliminate the barely educated, unhealthy and poor segment of our country,” wrote Weddington. “The problem is that their numbers are not only replaced but increased by the birth of millions of babies to people who can’t afford to have babies.”

For an example of responsible reproduction, Ron Weddington pointed to Bill and Hillary. He told the president-elect:

You and Hillary are a perfect example. Could either of you have gone to law school and achieved anything close to what you have if you had three or four more children before you were 20? No! You waited until you were established in your 30s to have one child. That is what sensible people do.…

It’s time to officially recognize that people are going to have sex and what we need to do as a nation is prevent as much disease and as many poor babies as possible. Condoms alone won’t do it. Depo-Provera, Norplant and the new birth control injection being developed in India are not a complete answer…. Even if we make birth control as ubiquitous as sneakers and junk food, there will still be unplanned pregnancies…

Apparently Ginsburg has simply laid aside the fact that not too long ago, she would have been considered an “undesirable” worthy only to be killed in a gas chamber.

Her philosophy is anti-human and the more I read of it, the more horrified it makes me knowing there are millions who sinfully agree with her.

Wow. It is such a shame that the loony Left has lost the ability to use their mind for rational thought because if they hadn’t they would recognize a eugenic trying to exterminate undesirables and the undesirables are fighting for her to exterminate them.

Oh brother. Anither new law incoming in CA. No plastic straws with drinks unless you ask. Starbucks wont give any at all. I actually started carrying straws in the car for kiddo but I have to use them for sensitive teeth. There are people with serious medical conditions that have to use them. Nanny state!

“With California on the cusp of passing a bill that would prohibit restaurant servers from giving customers plastic straws unless requested, Starbucks revealed on Monday that it would become the first major American food-service chain to phase out plastic straws at all US locations, with the transition expected to be completed by 2020, according to CNN. The changes will help Starbucks eliminate more than 1 billion plastic straws per year.

    The new Starbucks straw-free cups

The city of Seattle, which fancies itself at the vanguard of progressive environmental causes, has already passed a similar ban on straws and plastic utensils, which took effect earlier this month. Activists have been pressuring businesses to abandon plastic straws because they purportedly contribute to the deaths of 1 million birds and more than 100,000 sea mammals each year, according to the UK government. As it stands, California’s “straws on request” bill would impose a $1,000 fine on servers who violate it – though proponents of the law say the penalties will be removed from the bill at a later date.

Nicholas Mallos, director of Ocean Conservancy’s Trash Free Seas program, praised Starbucks for its “shining example” of how companies can help fight ocean pollution, according to CNN

“With eight million metric tons of plastic entering the ocean every year, we cannot afford to let industry sit on the sidelines,” he said in a statement.

McDonald’s said it would phase out plastic straws at its restaurants in the UK and Ireland after the UK government proposed banning them. But McDonald’s shareholders voted down a proposal earlier this year asking for a report on plastic straws, NBC reported.

The push for banning straws gained momentum following the release of a viral video that showed rescuers removed a straw from the nose of a sea turtle.

The new “straw free” lid being rolled out by Starbucks, which will replace the flat plastic lids currently in use, have been compared to “adult sippie cups”. Customers who still wish to use a straw will be able to request a new compostable straw (these straws haven’t been widely adopted because they cost roughly 8 times more than plastic).”

Jack Daniels Bacon Macaroni & Cheese
      Ingredients
      Whiskey Candied Bacon:
      • 10 slices bacon
      • 1/2 cup Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey or whiskey of your choice
      • 1 cup brown sugar
      • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
      Macaroni & Cheese:
      • 1 pound macaroni pasta
      • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
      • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
      • 1 tablespoon Jack Daniel’s Tenessee Whiskey
      • 2 cups milk
      • 3 cups medium or sharp cheddar cheese
      • 4 slices provolone cheese
      • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
      • Salt and pepper to taste
      Instructions
      Candied Bacon:
      1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil and coat with non-stick cooking spray.
      2. In a small saucepan, bring 1/2 cup Jack Daniel’s to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, and simmer until reduced to 2 tablespoons. Remove from heat. On a plate, combine brown sugar and cayenne. Dip bacon into Jack Daniels and then press each side into brown sugar mixture to coat. Place on prepared baking sheet.
      3. Bake for 7 minutes, then flip and bake for about 5 minutes. Watch the bacon so it doesn’t burn!! (The sugar will run all over the pan, and the bacon with have a shiny lacquered look.)
      4. Remove the bacon to a plate coated with non-stick cooking spray to cool completely. Chop bacon; set aside.
      Macaroni:
      1. Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add macaroni and cook until al dente. Drain pasta; set aside.
      2. While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add flour, and whisk to combine. (You will have a tight roux.) Add 1 tablespoon Jack Daniel’s and whisk into roux.
      3. Whisk in 1 cup milk until combined. Add remaining milk. Whisk frequently until sauce thickens and begins to bubble.
      4. Add cheeses; whisk until cheeses melt and sauce is smooth. Add paprika and salt and pepper to taste.
      5. Pour sauce over pasta, and add bacon. Stir until pasta is completely coated in sauce. Add more salt and pepper if desired.
      Recipe Notes
Watch your bacon like a hawk! The sugar can go from awesome to burnt quickly if you’re not paying attention.

Off to make supper now! 😉

Conrad Black in the National Post (Canada):

…Of the leaders of the world’s important countries, only Trump and France’s Emmanuel Macron in the West, and Shinzo Abe in Japan (in lockstep with the U.S. out of fear of North Korea, as America’s allies customarily are when they are frightened by anything) are rather purposeful. Germany and Britain are dithering and there is some danger of the disintegration of the governing coalitions; Italy is politically in shambles even by its unusual standards, and the electoral jury has begun its deliberations about Justin Trudeau.

Trump will get no credit from his “allies” and other foreigners for doing it, but he has saved us from the self-impoverishing insanity of the Paris Climate accord chimera, and an unholy coalition of old-time Greenpeace-type conservationists with Marxist wolves in sheep’s clothing like Naomi Klein. He has bullied and enticed the North Korean leader (Kim Jong Un) into contemplating whether he wants respectability, prosperity and security, or the U.S. Navy to smash his military sites, including everything relevant to his nuclear military program.

Despite the cavils of the Trumpophobes, including formerly serious political publications like the now unrelievedly slipshod Economist of London, and despite his liberties with the truth, President Trump has amassed the most faithful record of modern American presidents in doing what he promised to do. His record is impressive, even if his public utterances sometimes are not: tax cuts, deregulation, surging economic growth, reducing oil imports, and a foreign policy that is assertive but not reckless. Apart from my friend Adrienne Batra, editor of the Toronto Sun, and some of my readers, I appear to be practically the only person in Canada who recognizes that.

I commend to skeptical Canadians the comments in a recent London interview of the greatest foreign minister of any Great Power in the 20th century, Henry Kissinger. He said that President Trump “is a phenomenon that foreign countries haven’t seen before … Liberals and all those who favour (Hillary) Clinton will never admit that he is … a true leader … After eight years of tyranny (of declinists and willful fantasy), … every country now has to consider two things: One, their perception that the previous president, or the outgoing president, basically withdrew America from international politics, so that they had to make their own assessments of their necessities. And secondly, that there is a new president who’s asking a lot of unfamiliar questions. And because of the combination of the partial vacuum and the new questions, one could imagine that something remarkable and new emerges out of it … Trump puts America and its people first … When he boasts that he has a ‘bigger red button’ than Kim Jung Un does, he transcends the mealy-mouthed rhetoric of the past, thereby forcing a new recognition of American power.”

The American and Canadian and European media can afford the luxury of judging the Trump phenomenon by its often grating exterior, but the geopolitical facts are as Henry Kissinger described. Thuggish charlatans like Putin are made to look strong by the weakness of Obama and fragile governments in Britain and Germany, but the U.S. is withstanding the domestic pressure to drive Putin into the arms of China and Iran, and is gathering strength to resist the challenge to the West presented by China, even if the population of the West is still steeped in snobbery toward Trump and his followers as a gang of loud-mouthed boobs.

It’s amazing that Black has anything good to say about the U. S. and Canadian), but he retained his dignity and ability to discern what’s what in world governmental affairs.
