My sister offered to make me a quilt to hang on the wall in a certain place in my house. I sent her a picture of a lattice quilt I liked. She made it and it is absolutely beautiful and I love it. But, she said she hated making it because it was so hard. She finally asked a friend at a store she went to if she knew anybody who could finish the sewing and it ended up being finished by an award winning quilter. LOL

Good morning Nyet, the clip of Kukla, Fran and Ollie reminded me of a segment that used to run on The Bozo Circus Show when I was a little girl, Hardrock, Coco and Joe.

Three terrifying elves or dwarves and an even scarier Santa Claus. I thought there was more than this segment, maybe they played it every Christmas?

It was part of clips they would play during the show, I remember different videos of Hardrock, Coco and Joe, but it is a young child’s memory and my sisters say not that this was all there was. Creepy as all get out, my sister got to play Bozo’s buckets and lost on the second bucket. Womp wah!

It was in color, the Hardrock, Coco, Joe segment was always like a commercial. It was filmed in Chicago, in the WGN building. Bozo was a drunk and drunk in most episodes 😜, or so rumor has it. Remember everything in Chicago is corrupt. True. someone I know traded a judge Bozo circus tickets in order for the the judge to go to his office and sign a marriage certificate around 7 pm on a Friday because a priest wouldn’t marry a couple without the civil license. There was a years long waiting list for Bozo tickets, the person I know traded someone at Bozo Circus 4 front row dugout tickets to a Cubs game for 8 Bozo circus tickets, the seats were bleachers so they would just squeeze as many in as they could.

Chicago a place like no other.

^^ The seats at Bozo Circus were bleachers. Cubs dugout seats are regular seats. Wake me up before I post 😏. Just looked it up and apparently Bozo Circus was filmed in a few locations not just Chicago. I’m only familiar with the Chi Town operation.

Bozo was scary as all get out. So was Cookie. Wizzo and the whole show 😳.

Could be, I think I have only watched one episode of the Simpsons (maybe? ) and Crusty wasn’t in it 🙂 . Bozo Circus in Chicago (I can’t believe it was filmed in other places also) was bizarre. There was a reoccurring character on it Wizzo. A wizard clown hybrid 😜.

No wonder Chicago is what it is!

I’ve been looking for Cat Stevens songs sung by other artists. I love the Cat. Yusuf Islam, not so much. Had he not agreed that Salman Rushdie should be slaughtered for insulting Muhammad, I might be able to believe that he was just another stupid, ignorant entertainer who was caught up in his own self grandeur and really didn’t think anything through before espousing his opinion.

Just start at the 42 second mark if you don’t want to hear this chaps Mama Earth prater.

“Will they tell us when to live will they tell us when to die?”

    Yes, yes they will.

WSJ: At one point in the town hall, broadcast from the East Room by ABC news, a woman named Jane Sturm told the story of her 105-year-old mother, who, at 100, was told by an arrhythmia specialist that she was too old for a pacemaker. She ended up getting a second option, and the operation, for which Ms. Sturm credits her survival. “Look, the first thing for all of us to understand that is we actually have some — some choices to make about how we want to deal with our own end-of-life care,” Mr. Obama replied. After discussing ways “we as a culture and as a society [can start] to make better decisions within our own families and for ourselves,” he continued that in general “at least we can let doctors know and your mom know that, you know what? Maybe this isn’t going to help. Maybe you’re better off not having the surgery, but taking the painkiller.”

“Will they tell us when to live will they tell us when to die?”

Sometimes prophecies come in the most unusual places.

Yes I know this post is sort of all over the place.

The government seems to be slooooowly establishing its own T4 program. Medicare established the government’s death grip on senior’s medical care, abortion on demand takes care of the other end of the age spectrum while the ‘global climate change’ crisis being foisted on the public as THE new religion sets the base for an expansion of the murder-on-demand doctrine.
The mentally and physically disabled, the sick and elderly are all drags on the economy and environment so why not humanely dispose of them which will increase access to resources by the young and healthy. Finite medical resources being consumed disproportionately by the non-productive elderly and disabled – increase access to the resources for the productive without increasing their carbon footprint…not exactly soylent green but close enough for government work.
The ‘abortion on demand’ program isn’t being accepted as widely and freely as the plotters wished but it is working. Just as Hitler’s program to weed out damaged children started with abortions and quickly expanded to all children and adults, the US euthanists wiil given the opening, move on to damaged newborns and slowly upward to older and older children with a wider scope of ‘defects’. They tried by giving doctors the legal ability to kill perfectly healthy full term babies – as late as July the Senate rejected a bill that would have banned ‘late term’ abortions and even states that ban late term abortions give doctors legal ‘outs’ to perform them. Mission creep.
It’s going to be a long term proicess, generations of children yet unborn will have to be enured to the concepts of the necessary death for the benefit of the many but they’re working on it. At some point folks will be able to get groceries, car supplies, glasses and an abortion at your local big box store.
      Rant out.

Agree with the rotten mission creep that is happening and that the disingenuous republicans aren’t worth a rat’s ass and hope and I pray that President Trump is balancing this battle along with all of the other ones he is fighting.

I do believe that President Trump is running triage if we don’t stent certain arteries that ain’t no way there will be any blood pumping through our veins to fight for the heart of our being.

The Left finds the old, the weak, the mentally disabled only convent for votes, that is the only asset the Left sees in them, if we had another 4 years of Obama like policies the above mentioned might have found that their usefulness to the Left had run its course.

Thank God we have President Trump and not Supreme Leader Hillary.

We are already seeing the fruits of Justice Gorsuch in SCOTUS rulings.

Imagine when Ginsburg kicks the bucket and Kennedy chips it.

I get a kick out of this next fadeaway girl because not only does she wear a dress into the water, but also has to wear stockings! But she is lovely and colorful 🙂

  7. I rode to the end of the pier at 6:30 this morning, playing old R&B, and nothing but smiles from the pier-walkers and fishermen. By 8:00 I had spoken in depth with more than 10 people. By 9:30, more than 20. Some new friends, some old friends, and many strangers who are now friends. And my mom on the phone for an hour.

Pray for her this weekend, as she gets a partial colonoscopy, to figure out what’s wrong with her gut, and my dad who is on (Chantix?) a drug that will help him quit smoking, because COPD, and for me, because I’m pretty sure I have emphysema or COPD. Whatever causes that rattle on the inhale, and causes the mind to not let the body fall asleep, because the lungs keep filling with fluid all night.

U.S. Supreme Court rules Texas lawmakers did not intentionally discriminate in drawing political maps
The court also upheld 10 of 11 districts that had been flagged as problematic.

    https://www.texastribune.org/2018/06/25/us-supreme-ruling-court-texas-redistricting-case/

Extinguishing the possibility that Texas could be placed back under federal electoral supervision, the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday pushed aside claims that lawmakers intentionally discriminated against voters of color when they enacted the state’s congressional and state House maps.

In a 5-4 vote, the high court threw out a lower court ruling that had found that lawmakers intentionally undercut the voting power of Hispanic and black voters, oftentimes to keep white incumbents in office. The Supreme Court found that the evidence was “plainly insufficient” to prove that the 2013 Legislature acted in “bad faith.”

The Supreme Court also ruled that all but one of the 11 districts that had been flagged as problematic could remain intact. The one exception was Fort Worth-based Texas House District 90, which is occupied by Democratic Rep. Ramon Romero and was deemed an impermissible racial gerrymander because lawmakers illegally used race as the predominant factor in deciding its boundaries.

Somehow I think this should be handled within the realm of rule-of-law and not just via Tweetland and tv interviews/media. Maxine gets a warning from President. HUH? We are approaching this like the battered woman who won’t press charges against the guy breaking her bones.

I agree it would be bad publicity but only with the president’s enemies. It would be good publicity for him among those who want law and order/rule of law back in our country. It would be another campaign promise kept.

Actually, President Trump would not be the one pressing charges. It would be local if Sarah and relatives made a complaint/fied police report and requested restraining orders against all that can be identified to have been apart of the following her.

We are being conned into boycotting at the expense of personal safety and applying applicable laws. The sad thing is Sara can get approval for Secret Service Hand if not, suspect Trump will provide security detail personally) but others getting kicked out of bars or chased away when counter protesting, or local MAGA candidates doxxed, are left to themselves.

Not taking legal protection action is not playing victim, it is living the victim.

    Dear Treeper Prayers,
I have been playing catch up reading through the last 2 months of messages (sorry I don’t always read the Prayer Request pages & keep up “in real time”) & am praying for each of your situations as I read your posts…May the Lord be with Each of You in the way you need Him most!

I have a prayer request in addition to my cousin Roberta, fighting cancer, that some of you are still praying about; my Aunt Pat, who just underwent a knee replacement (she’s the mountain climber/botanist I mentioned up thread) & needs to be sufficiently recovered to teach some classes & travel in August; & general stuff with Josiah (I’ll share more on that front another time)…Josiah’s twin Brandon (whose shoulder surgery site is doing well & only needs one more doctor’s visit for complete clearance, but who also has heavy financial costs of surgery remaining) was on his way to a friend’s birthday party after work. These were a number of co-workers who worked the closing shift at their restaurant near Detroit’s Metro Airport. Anyway about midnight Brandon was driving his car onto the entrance ramp of I-94 when some pedestrians tried to dart between him & the car in front. He had to slow down & swerve. After the ramp the car in front of him actually hit someone who was walking in the far right lane of the highway & wearing all black. They were probably travelling 60-70mph & the middle aged man was probably dead on impact.

My son didn’t see the hit, but his friends in the car behind him did. Brandon swerved to avoid the sudden debris in the road (he thought the car in front of him had blown a tire & shrapnel was flying up). He pulled to the shoulder in front of the collision car & could see the man’s body, who appeared dead by position, condition, & blood. The car who hit/killed the man was a middle-aged married couple who’d just flown in from NY (not sure if they were coming home or arriving for vacation etc). The wife in the passenger seat was covered in broken glass & the deceased’s blood & was apparently in shock & possibly disabled. Her name is Mona. She & her husband were transported to nearby hospitals.

Please pray for Mona & her husband, for their health, peace of mind, & relationship with the Lord…& for their likely legal situation. Brandon & his co-worker driver both gave statements to the authorities so they may be helping the NYers in their case, as they didn’t leave their lane, etc. Brandon had called 911 & spent time hugging & helping Mona, but he’s been pretty shaken up by the whole experience, being so close to death & feet from having hit someone.

The deceased appeared to be wearing dog tags & Brandon’s passenger thought he might have been attempting/achieving suicide by highway traffic. He may have been on some substance & unaware of his surroundings. This man’s family & friends are sure to be devastated by this brutal & senseless death. Please lift them to the Lord. Also remember the emergency workers who had to deal with the grisly situation that God would protect them & heal their souls (I know some people are used to this kind of work but can anyone ever Really get Used to that?). B said one of the cops said it was the 19th highway fatality there’d been in his small community.

I’m very thankful that Brandon is now home safely as my daughter Clarissa had woken me from a dead sleep to say he needed prayer & explain what she knew of the situation, B had texted her. My sleep addled brain was running through scenarios where he was so overcome by shock that he also ended up getting in an accident…so it was a relief to have him home intact. Another blessing was that the birthday girl & her close friends traveled a different way & missed the whole ordeal.

Well, sorry for all that extra info…it’s all quite fresh in my mind as we just finished our conversation about it all. Ironically Josiah & I were “witnesses” to a car/truck accident at almost the identical spot in May 2000 as we headed west to Ann Arbor for his second open-heart surgery…Hmm…

This is a quilt I am starting. I really enjoy paper piecing so converted pattern to do. I hope my birds have as much personality. The artist of this quilt actually wrote a story, based on someone in her life, for each bird. Clever. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FH6StkXh7RM/V41ohM9CUgI/AAAAAAAAous/krlXQhD-CU4lmUEBcl1HMA9Yzmp1XmVvwCLcB/s1600/IMG_2773-001.JPG

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
