        I was reading a piece from ProPublica on the DoJ Trump/Comey/McCabe leak issue. Poor ProPublica, here they are a middle-of-the-road, fair and balanced, neutral source of political news. Got that all out with a straight face.
        Poor guys are probably close to out of rubber pencils to write these twisty narratives, trying to take the bad-for-the-Left news and make it seem not so bad…or just a minor procedural speed bump on the way to prog nervana. All of these illegal to illegal to morally reprehensible goings-on they’ve been accusing Conservatives of doing since Nixon are now in a basket on their own front step. They can’t handle the truth.

    It’s pouring rain here. We got 2 1/2 inches yesterday and last night. I slept in because of it. Is that where everybody else is? Sleeping in? 😯

    I’ve got a meeting today, it is the same organization as last Wednesday where I had the run in with Mister “I have a JD after my name” 🙄.

    Anyhow, I got a call Thursday that went something like this.

    Silly person “I heard you called “John” a liar.”

    Me “Hmmm.”

    Silence

    Silly person “Why did you call John a liar.”

    Me “I didn’t”

    Silly person “You said said what he presented was’t true.”

    Me “Correct”

    Silly person “So you implied that he was lying.”

    Me “I said that he did not transcribe a law but he presented his interpretation of the law and he said he transcribed the law. He did not transcribe the law so you do the math.”

    Silly person (Already exasperated) “He gave the heart of the law.”

    Me “He gave his opinion of the law and as an attorney he should have presented it as such, rather than pretending it was the letter of the law. It was disingenuous and it was wrong and it was an improper translation of the law.”

    Silly person “So you don’t feel that you owe him an apology?”

    Me “He is paid a handsome salary, I am a volunteer, he gave bad information presented as law, I said he was wrong, and now I’m accused of lying and being asked to apologize for giving proper information? Do I have this all right?”

    Silly person “This is getting us nowhere.”

    Me “Sure it is, you just don’t want to go there.”

    Silly person “Sigh”

    Me “I’ll see you on Sunday have a beautiful week.”

    Silly person “So you’ll be at the meeting.”

    Me “Yes sir, see you there, goodbye.”

    Silly person “Good bye.”

    Should be fun 😜!

    I’ll be starting my series of state flowers and paintings today – Enjoy!

    Michigan adopted the blossom of the apple tree as its state flower by an act of the legislature on April 28, 1897. The choice is fitting given the state’s long ties to the fruit. Michigan ranks third in the country in apple production, just behind Washington and New York. Each April and May, crabapple trees burst out in delicate white and pink blossoms. The clustered flowers not only add color to otherwise green apple orchards, but also give off a valuable honeysuckle scent. The sweet fragrance attracts bees to orchards where they do the important job of pollinating. Apple growers often plant crabapple trees amongst their other apple varieties just for this purpose.     Uhmmm, let me guess which “value” she values the most. How intolerant that traditional values of pride in one’s country and culture and in Western Civilization is considered intolerant.

      Too late, I bet. Free speech means I have the right to say whatever I want. MATURITY means I’m enough of an adult to not need a safe space when people say things I disagree with. Though admittedly, listening to these people say divisive things and then start crying when someone disagrees with them is making me angry.

      Maybe I need to spend more time drinking…

      Do you ever look at the leaders of the countries of Europe and think to yourself that if these fools had been around in 1939, everyone in Europe would be speaking German now?

      (Maybe I shoulda capped the WWII research in December but) More and more I look at these people (and CNN) I think that the Third Reich would still be going strong if only these useful idiots had been around back then.

    Don’t know the law in Florida but had this have happened in Louisiana the guy in the hat could have filed charges under RS 14:38 for assault. There’d have been a police report with witness names, quite possibly a Cheesecake Factory employee or two would have been cuffed up and man in hat would have gone to one of the top-performing ‘bend ’em over the barrel for big bux’ tort lawyers in NOLA who specialize in wringing blood out of corporations. Lordie, employees of a major chain assaulting a MINORITY (especially) for a political statement ON COMPANY TIME!
    Where’s the Big Book of Company Policy and what does it say about employees on compamy time assaulting patrons??? What”? No POLICY!!!!???? No TRAINING!!!!????
    This is a tort lawyer’s dream and I’m betting the Cheesecake Factory main office is going to be on this one most ricky tick.

    Well…looks like we may have a new cat. Saw her tonite, medium size, medium hair with what we refer to as a tennis ball head. She’s creamsickle but while her tail is medium-length hair it’s not bushy – it’s flat. 2/3rds of it is the creamsickle but the last 3rd is white – and the white starts as a point in her tail and flares to encompass all of it.
    We’ve seen her twice today – I’ve called to her and each tiome she stops and looks at me but continues to walk on. The second time she was walking back from the lake towards the garden. To me that means she’s been dumped, feral cats don’t keep longer hair and don’t stop and look at you each time you call. I put water and a small plate of food out in the area she’s trailing and if it’s tounched by tomorrow I’ll put out a trail cam to see if it’s her or the critters getting it.
