    Cuity hoasted the annual Bayou Boogaloo today, things went swimingly right up until a really nasty line of strong storms blew up and parked on the city. Winds shredded the vendors’ stands with rain falling so fast and furious it overwhelmed the city’s now functioning drainage system.
    An untold number od goers not only had to leave wet but, unheard of, SOBER! Oh the humanity of it…

      Wow. That’s rough I hope no one was hurt. I remember one year I believe it was in California a poor guy was impaled by a beach umbrella and died.

          Hope bubbles eternal eh? Once when my daughter was working Germanfest her drunken boss put the days sales down on the cub and wandered off, thankfully a good guy saw it, knew who he was and brought the money back to the tent.

            The City knows better and floods the fests with cops so it’s less likely there’ll be an incident. I gained a god bit of weight doing them, especially the church fund raisers, they’d feed the **** out of us.
            Those church members were soooooo good at the food we’d know which ones specialized in what. They knew we were doing it for free (to them) so we got huge plates of fried chicken, fish, shrimp – whatever. At the end we’d stay to watch them as they cleaned up and they’d pour us huge ‘go cups’ of beerr or whatever.

        City can’t get rid of water (most of it’s below sea level) and crooked and incompetent politicians (most of the voters are below see level).

        I remember thinking at the time the story broke re his lying that an experienced intelligence officer would likely know how to handle questioning and how to answer. So it seemed odd he got caught. But then I sort of dismissed that thought replacing it with “well, maybe he’s not as smart as we thought he was.”

        Good to see that really experienced observers/writers saw through the whole thing and are now coming out with those observations.

      Wictor is very insightful, he is basically a hermit with a genius IQ, does’t give a darn what others think of him and has a wicked sense of humor. Oh and he is crazy and has severe PTSD.

      Wictor has turned my mind on the Flynn situation long ago, my guess is that Flynn never lied to the FBI, also Flynn’s son has said publicly that Mueller bullied, threatened and strong armed the Flynn family and that is why his father pled guilty to lying. To save his family. Hmmm… Flynn pled guilty but there was nothing to hang anyone in his family on ? To quote Judge Judy “If it doesn’t make sense it isn’t true.”

      Flynn was fired by Obama for blowing the whistle on corruption. I am far more inclined to believe Flynn is a Spook far more than he is a dupe, A Spook with all kinds of friends with deep tentacles where they need to be.

      There is a reason that the Flynn sentencing keeps getting postponed and every single possibility is bad for Mueller investigation.

    I am having the time of my life ‘discovering’….so far the ceilings and under my new house have given up some fun things….so here’s one for your guessing pleasure…

    Also, everything in this picture (other than the flowers) were items found in the ceilings or left behind by the previous owner and IMO, after repairs and paint, they turned out to be pretty darn cute.

    One of these days I’ll learn you can’t argue with a liberal, especially one who thinks they’re cute and can mock God.
    I was arguing with one on FB about the 14th amendment and how it did not make abortion and gay marriage constitutional. IMHO, you can’t understand the Constitution without understanding this country was based on Christian values and understanding the context to why each amendment was written. I say this because this person brought the 1st amendment into the argument about separation of Church and State. We all know or at least should know who and why the 14th amendment was written and passed.
    While trying to explain this all to this person and how rights are our God given rights and the Constitution is limits on the government and sorry God is not going to give anyone the right to murder a baby, neither is He going to give gays the right to marry. That has nothing to do with anyone’s feelings, God is pretty clear.
    This person comes back with which god? In mythology there are lots of gods or maybe it’s extraterrestrial beings.
    I finished it up with you think you can mock God, but you can’t. I honestly feel sorry for you and pray someday you open your heart.

    According to this person though they’re not a liberal because she’s a Republican and doesn’t like taxes.

          More like illogical emotions and goose stepping to an ideology that has no basis in logic on her part. That is one of the sad but amusing things about liberals they think they are the most logical beings on earth while in reality they are all about emotions and if they could follow their beliefs to the most logical conclusion they could see that they spew nonsense.

          If you’re still talking to the Lib you can always ask her what was the first cause? It is a scientific fact that matter can not create itself therefore something or someone had to create the first matter in order for everything temporal to come into being

          I take it on faith that that first cause was God, an uncreated eternal intelligent being, she takes it on faith that against all scientific evidence that matter created itself. Certainly matter could not have always been but a being above our understanding an infinite God by definition certainly is a reasonable explanation.

        It was fun tonight, watched a lot of good racing and excitement after the races were over. Of course I missed most of it.
        There’s a certain driver in a different class then we’re in, I liked the kid last year but this year he has an attitude on and off the track. The two previous races I’ve watched him in this year he was doing a lot of dirty crap on the track. Tonight he did it to the wrong guy, a guy with a hair trigger temper and after he ran the guy up the wall, when the guy caught back up to him he spun him out.
        The guy was black flagged, which was the right thing to do, the kid should have been sent tailback for running him up the wall, but he wasn’t.
        Then the kid went to his pit, which is a big no no, then the kid’s Dad also went to his pit and started a fight. Then it turned into a brawl in their pit. I don’t care that I missed all of that, but one of the track workers is a big guy, about 6’4″ and 400 lbs and he picked the kid up who is a little tiny guy and was carrying him around. That I would have liked to have seen. lol

        I’m calling him a kid, but he is a twenty-something adult, but a kid to me.

        Hopefully both parties get suspended, but it did take my mind off all the other dumb crap that was going on today. 🙂

            My bunch got to see it all from start to finish. I got stopped by someone in the stands and was talking to them and then went to our pits, which was opposite direction.
            My daughter says it was the funniest thing she’s ever saw. Him being bear hugged and his legs flailing about 3 foot off the ground.
            Normally, there is not a lot of excitement in the pits, fights are usually verbal.

            The problem is they bit off more than they can chew, the guy(who I don’t like btw) he ran up the wall is a hot head and he retaliated on the track. Everyone sitting in the stands who knows him knew he was going to retaliate.
            Because he’s a hot head, when they came to his pits and shoved him, he fought back, which caused the fists to fly. Then an off duty cop tried to break up the fight and got body slammed and punched by the kid’s Dad. The kid jumped in and started throwing punches at the cop and the driver, his mom got in between men fighting and ended up punched in the back of the head. The Dad ended up getting hit in the eye with a helmet.

            If the track was smart, we’ll see just how smart they are, they will ban both drivers. Rules are in black and white, if you go into someone’s pit and a fight breaks out, the driver or his crew member who goes into the pits is banned a minimum of 2 weeks, possibly longer. Right now what we’re hearing is the other driver is suspended for 3 weeks, but the kid is not suspended because his Dad was hit with a helmet. To fans and other drivers it’s going to look like favoritism because the kid is leading in points. Not to mention if they don’t enforce the rules, many of these guys are a little nuts and it will make another think he can do it and make this kid and his family think the next time something happens on the track they can go to someone’s pit again starting crap.
