Good morning Lucille. I got a huge, beautiful bouquet of flowers last Sunday from my son. They are bright and lovely and make me happy. People should enjoy flowers more. Sometimes I pick a few, or buy myself a cheap bouquet.
There is a family a mile down the road with four daughters, the youngest maybe kindergarten or first grade. They have a small farm and last year the girls planted a huge flower bed and sold the flowers in tin cans they had painted and decorated, or ball jars also painted. They sold the flowers every Friday at a roadside stand, right on the side of our road, and those enterprising young ladies have an even bigger batch of flowers planted this year. Can’t wait until they open their stand. For five dollars you get a lovely bouquet for the week. I always take back their containers when I go back.

One day a week at U of M’s Mott Children’s Hospital they have “Flower Therapy” at the Family Resource Center. The time I participated there were all sorts of blooms & ribbons to choose from that you could then place in a decoratively foiled tin can. The ones that didn’t go home with families were placed around the hospital public areas & offered to the in-patient kids. It actually was “therapeutic” to play with those blooms & enjoy the sights & smells & relieved some of that medical stress… 🙂

ABANDONED PLACES : Selma Plantation Mansion

A look at the once abandoned Selma Plantation in Virginia. This home is no longer abandoned and is being restored.

I used to want to live in a home (in good condition) like that. Now, being much, much older and wiser, and realizing how much work it would be just to dust the place, I think I will stick with my apartment.

Even with lots of money it takes lots more money & time to do repairs to the time period, & necessary upgrades to make the electricity safe, add fire alarms & even sprinklers (the wood & moss/horsehair used as insulation are tinder dry & go up in a mad minute when ignited). I have toured most of the plantations around New Orleans. Some, like Nottoway Plantation in White Castle, Louisiana were bought for millions and were decades in restoration.

Did you see the pictures of The tottering Beast in Australia? Her legs and arms are very thin. Her hands, face and feet are swollen waterlogged Ball Park Franks. I don’t think it is water retention from alcoholism because the entire body tends to puff up from that.
The bulk in her torso is that backtrace and hideous dress style of hers.

If immigration is the prime concern, then the citizens of the various nations better get off their duffs and do something about it. Hoping for the best is a fallback mode which, of course, emboldens government.
Nations such as the UK are in the process of making it impossible to change policy since they are passing laws and creating illegalities to make any criticism of “immigration” a crime. Most people don’t buck the system when they fear for their lives and livelihoods. Where are the Margaret Thatchers? Theresa May sure isn’t worthy to run the local dog pound much less the nation. Sickening!
Thus the slide to dictatorship no matter how “soft” it may be.

On the radio talk show today on WWL, Newell Normand (former sheriff of Jefferson Parish) was saying in 2004 or 2005 he attended a meeting of police/sheriffs where they discussed problems anticipated due to illegal immigration & lack of enforcement, anticipating new laws which would protect the illegals. I have noticed the MSM does not use the word “illegal” now, its “undocumented”, unless they can avoid saying anything.

A college class was told they had to write a short story in as few words as possible.
The instructions were that the short story had to contain the following three things:
(1) Religion
(2) Sexuality
(3) Mystery
Below is the only A+ paper in the class:
“Good God, I’m pregnant, I wonder who the father is.”

A+ for content is merited. Proper punctuation, however, between “pregnant” and “I” calls for either a semicolon or a period.

Just a quick hello! Kiddo is in surgery now. They added in tonsils dt apnea. So, risk for bleeding and recovery time increased. PACU recovery is a minimum of 3 hours, and he was delayed by an hr dt emergency of another kid. Im tired, been up since 4 am but will have to do round the clock motrin and tylenol for 2-3 days. They gave him a drs kit and validated my $24 full day parking at least! Hoping everything goes fine. I guess the risk is immediate or in a week when the “char” scabs start peeling off(gross). Have a good night…..

I hope this surgery solves your son’s apnea issues. My son still needed to use CPAP even after his tonsillectomy (his adenoids were too small to remove) but he had/has multiple sleep disorders & apnea was just one of them…

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.
Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.
Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

Russia, after Netanyahu visit, backs off Syria S-300 missile supplies
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-mideast-crisis-syria-russia/russia-after-netanyahu-visit-backs-off-syria-s-300-missile-supplies-idUSKBN1IC0SW
MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russia is not in talks with the Syrian government about supplying advanced S-300 ground-to-air missiles and does not think they are needed, the Izvestia daily cited a top Kremlin aide as saying on Friday, in an apparent U-turn by Moscow.
The comments, by Vladimir Kozhin, an aide to President Vladimir Putin who oversees Russian military assistance to other countries, follow a visit to Moscow by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week, who has been lobbying Putin hard not to transfer the missiles.
Russia last month hinted it would supply the weapons to President Bashar al-Assad, over Israeli objections, after Western military strikes on Syria. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the strikes had removed any moral obligation Russia had to withhold the missiles and Russia’s Kommersant daily cited unnamed military sources as saying deliveries might begin imminently.
But Kozhin’s comments, released so soon after Netanyahu’s Moscow talks with Putin, suggest the Israeli leader’s lobbying efforts have, for the time being, paid off.
What a time to be alive.
