General Discussion, Friday, April 27, 2018

The Centennial Transmitter was so named because it was created in the year of the United States’ 100th anniversary. Alexander Graham Bell invented the first practical telephone in 1876, although it was Thomas Alva Edison’s invention of the carbon transmitter later in the same year that made the telephone practical for widespread use.

Who ARE the people writing copy for the networks? It must be a subscription email service sent to news managers all over the country.

Unfortunately even this guy had his copy written for him. It’s always been a game but at least John Cameron Swayze wasn’t frivolous.

        • That is a gem of a find, Lucille. Horrifying, yes.

Horrifying, knowing that most, if not all, people I know believe their Friendly, Perky, Pretty, Handsome local news people are just honestly being friendly and reporting and speaking free of bias. They like them! They are their TV friends, and authentic, and Local!, and they watch them every morning and evening, all their lives. Most people I know are programmed to believe these local TV people more than their actual, real friends.

Like babies in high-chairs, getting their spoons full of baby food — “Vroom! here comes the airplane!”

          So freakin’ sad to witness.

In other news you won’t see on TV, AVICII, a DJ and music maker, killed himself last week. His main hit was “Wake Me Up”. His tattoos and his last two releases were related to child trafficking and abuse in high places. He would know, in his industry. Name’s pronounced Aveechie. Named after the lowest circle of Bhuddist hell.

          Great voice, too.

In Buddhism it means the lowest level of hell…

The key points in this video are:

Two girls wake up in a town that appears to be drab, colourless and lifeless.

A younger girl is sleeping next to an older girl. If there is a veiled reference to some corrupt subtly here I purposely leave it for now as it would be mere conjecture.

The two girls both have a tattoo on both their upper left arms of an upright triangle and below an upside down triangle, of which both are black.

When the two girls go out in public the people of the town act in a disparaging manner of disapproval as would an older time puritan American town would frown on a lewd person or lifestyle.

The older girl leaves on a horse and finds a better place to live where others also have the same tattoo (and or mind set.)

As for the meaning of this it took some consideration so as to not get multiple meanings crossing their wires and filter out surface level meanings.

But after a short trip to work considering all the messages it became clear what it was communicating. The process of writing this was not so short.

Symbolism is everything in certain fields. I don’t mourn him. I understand. Yes it’s sad. He found the off-switch, because he couldn’t see another way out. He knew too much, and didn’t see another out.

The Vigilant Citizen – Symbols Rule the World

I linked to Aurora (another artist from Norway), the other day, and commented on her “one-eye” symbolism on the cover, and wondered if her next album would have a Monarch butterfly on it. Whoops. I’ve owned her previous album for a few years. Yep.

Look on that site for “Pics of the Month”, and “Read This First.” Read that first.

Again, I love this album, so much that I know it… and yet… and yet.

I hope Q destroys these people, once and for all.

Many of the on-line news services/blogs etc use the same sources – usually AP or Reuters – for big stories. It’s easy to spot when you are combing the internet for info on a particular topic. I even use them as sources, but I credit the source. Lots of them don’t, or maybe they pay for the story.

I took my granddaughter into a Mexican bakery once. She got one of those pink thingies, whatever they are. Loved it. I picked some things that looked really good, of course having no idea what they were. One of them was a sweet pastry and when my husband got to the middle of it there was a hot pepper in it.

I thought he was gonna kill me.

Occasionally went to Cuban bakeries in Miami but everything was TOO sweet! They like to put stuff like guava jelly in, which is abut ten times sweeter than any jelly I was used to. In NO I tried Vietnamese bakeries, where the sweetener is also more than I am used to. I hear some bakeries put hot pepper in with chocolate goodies.

So that is the difference. We have an authentic Mexican bakery here and I’ve tried it twice both time their baked goods were very dry. They do a dandy business so they must take like most of their customers are expecting them to taste.

    • I always laugh when the Left eats their own, for not being ideologically pure enough.

And they always do. Joy-Ann is being slowly “red-pilled”, made aware of the inherent fascism of her own side. The Western Left is like North Korea, and will become as harsh, if given power. Her grandchildren will be in labor camps, if her side gets the power they crave.

Sundance posted a Trump speech today, that Trump gave in SK, in 2017. It’s worth reading, in light of what’s going on in America.

Today’s hard-left, AntiFa, whatever they call themselves today, is on track to being exactly the same as the Kim regime. And it’s always fun watching Lefties wake up, when they suddenly become the targets of that regime.

I doubt that this one incident will red-pill Joy-Ann, but it’s a start. She still wants to rub elbows with the elite, which is why she lied about some hacking. Just like Anthony Weiner did with his debacle. Just like Hilary did with Russia.

Mornin’ all, it’s been a wild ride here at the bank this last week but I now have heat and warm water. Will have to wait for the plumber to return to show me how to turn up the temp on the new hot water system, but for now, at least I can comfortably wash my face so I’m not complaining.

As of this morning, a number of walls have been torn down to the studs, a number of floors have more holes than floor and I have over a thousand feet of electrical wire dangling from the ceilings and tumbling out of the walls but as ugly as it is, it’s progress.

So far, the walls, furniture & ceilings have delivered some fun treasures. I was breaking down an old piece of cr*p bank furniture the other day and hidden in a crevice, I came across a 1924 publication entitled…”Flag of the United States…How to display it…How to respect it”. The publication includes notes from the 1923 Flag Day Conference called by the American Legion and remarks from President Harding regarding the Star Spangled Banner….. Pretty neat little piece.

“Visits” “Views”. They log views and visitors. Visitors usually have multiple views, which I assume means that you click on various posts.

Exactly how they determine what to pay me is a mystery. It has something to do with “ads served”, which is determined by the advertisers. For example, in March, I had 78,638 ads served, 4,332 visitors, and 21,416 views, for a grand total of $23.38. Not a huge amount. ADD: Each ad served is not equal in value. I could have more ads served one month than the month before and earn less.

CTH makes considerably more money on ads, because of the huge amount of traffic. A lot more than I ever earned at a regular job.

The most I ever made in one month was last August, because of all of the traffic I had on the posts about the eclipse. I had 1.4 million ad impressions, for a total of $291.90.

They don’t pay me until I have accrued $100 in ad revenue, then they put it into a PayPal account that I have.

WordPress charges me $96 a year for the blog hosting, and I made $470.00 last year, but I only started getting ad revenue last June.

The bottom line is that if you plan to earn a living blogging, you had better generate lots of traffic! Or use a more lucrative advertising system. If I upgraded the blog, I could use whatever ad system I want, but that costs more money too. With the level of WordPress blog I have, I am limited to using their ad system, which is called WordAds.

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.
