Are they taking them by c-section?

We went to a birthday lunch this week for a family friend. There was a couple eating that had 2 year old identical twin boys. Because kids are drawn to other kids we each had to keep collecting the kids. We started talking to her and she said one of her boys weighed 7 lbs 2 oz and the other weighed 7 lbs 6 oz. They had her scheduled for a c-section, but she went into labor the day before and delivered one on the way to the hospital and the second one in the hallway at the hospital. She said she was so thrilled she delivered them because she didn’t want a c-section but they told her she had no choice. I guess they’re not always right. lol

It’s safer with a C-section, but in the olden days women usually didn’t do it that way.

My grandmother had twins at home, my mother and her brother, then my mom had twin boys at home. There haven’t been twins in the family since.
A friend of mine had twins in the 90’s and they let her have the choice. Anymore though it seems like they always automatically schedule a c-section.

Of course, that made me think of a woman I talked to when I was pregnant. She was about 4’10” and very tiny. She had 5 children, and they all weighed over 10 lbs when they came and were born within minutes after she had the first contraction. She said all the women in her family were small like her and they all had 10 lb babies, and very quickly.

My parents had friends that were Mexican (I guess to be PC today, Hispanic, but then everyone said Mexican), she was a little lady under 5′ tall and had 8 kids.
My mom would always tell her she had babies like shelling peas. She had 9 and 10 lb babies and had them quick. I remember her telling my mom one time her longest labor was 2 hours and it never took more than 3 pushes to deliver them.

With my 3rd one that was difficult to have I told my husband I didn’t know why I couldn’t be like a Mexican and shell this baby out like peas. He thought I had went crazy and a few days after my son was born asked me if I remembered saying that. I told him I did, but I don’t know why it popped in my head because I had not seen their friends in years and I was a kid when I heard them sharing their pregnancy stories.

LOL This woman said when her last one was due, she was sitting across from her mother in the LR reading a newspaper. Her mother asked if she was all right. She told her that she had been timing the bouncing of the newspaper and it was down to 5 min. So they jumped (figure of speech) in the car and went to the hospital. The baby came on the gurney on the way to the room.

My aunt had her first two at home, the third she decided she wanted to have in a hospital and she was born in the ER, they barely got her on a gurney before she was born.
The 4th she had at home.

Her last one she got pregnant with late in life, she was 50 and doctors told her due to her age how important it was for to get to the hospital in time, so first twinge head for the hospital. She did that but had him in the car on the way.

    Wow!!

I don’t have time to read the Comey “memos” right now but I did read the first half of the first page.

Comey is a completely unmoored and he has let recasting his legacy and taking down a duly elected president destroy him and get the better of his usually very astute political nature.

Comey for well over a year has been publicly lamenting his fear and uncomfortableness, his emotional trauma that occurred when President Trump sent Jeff Sessions out of the room so that President Trump could speak alone to Comey.

Recalling this moment, this moment that Comey said was “bizarre, unheard of, an obvious indication that something nefarious was about to take place, an incident that never in the history of the world had taken place before – a president asking an FBI Director for a one on one meeting” still makes James Comey break outing a cold sweat.

But. What is in the the page of Crazy Comey’s faux memo?

“I said there was something Clapper wanted me to speak to the PE about alone or in a very small group.” 🤔

    What a moron.

Rookie mistake. No wonder the democrat oligarchs are throwing Comey under the bus. He is now useless to them.

Comey told President Elect Trump that CNN was in possession of the same materials as Comey.

President Elect Trump said that he was surprised that CNN had not run with the story.

the Comey memo verbatim; “I said it was inflammatory stuff that they would get killed for reporting straight up from the source reports.”

      Now hold the phone.

      Just a minute.

Isn’t this the exact same source reports that was used to obtain a FISA warrant? Comey has lost his mind.

Yep. If this was not real life it would be amazing satire.

We sat facing each other at a small oval table for and placed in the center of the room.__ James Comey in a memo to himself about the President of the United States. What a bloody freak. He narrated his whole “memo” like a cheap dime store novel. The “memos” have nothing to do with recording the truth (who narrates when they write for themselves? it makes no sense, if it makes no sense it isn’t true) and everything to do with Comey pushing a lie.

this is not verbatim but certainly captures the “substance” of what Comey said Trump told him

“Mattis, Trump and Sessions said great things about me ❤️. A lot of people said great things about me”___ James Comey in a memo to himself, about himself.

If you are the head of any Federal bureau or organization why would it be unheard of for the President of the United States of America to expect and ask for a private conversation with you? If that has been outside protocol, then it’s danged well another thing that ought to be changed and good for President Trump in doing it.

That’s hilarious, WeeWeed! And a good day to you! Time to reminisce….

In 1950-51 our school classes were held in an old building, each classroom of which had a complete wall of windows on our left as we faced toward the teacher. Every month we had atomic bomb drills where we’d jump under our desks and roll down the sheets secured on the window sides of our desks. Each child was expected to provide his own white sheet which usually his mother would cut to specifications provided by the school.

The drill bells would go off and under those desks we would fly, giggling and then getting reprimanded by Teach for being frivolous. LOL! The Korean War was SERIOUS business…yes!

Honestly, to me grammar school was such fun. We each had our own wood with iron filigree sided desk–selected for us alphabetically, of course, by the teacher–and each desk hooked together and to the floor in five or six individual rows. All school books, pencils and ruled pads were left in the shelf below the desk top….and you had to keep it neat. No food allowed. Gum was verboten.

Lunch boxes or paper sacks were stored on a counter in the back of the room apparently so no surreptitious consuming of goodies would ensue. Only on days it rained did we eat inside the cafeteria. Ordinarily out on the lawn we would go to eat our lunches with our pals, sometimes exchanging a carrot or piece of celery or a ripe cherry tomato for a delicious jelly sandwich. I never purchased anything from the cafeteria until 9th grade. But even then and all through high school my sister and I always brought lunches from home despite the fact that our mother worked in the cafeteria from the time I was in 7th grade.

One funny time in junior high (7th and 8th grades)…I was starting my walk home and realized I’d forgotten to put my gym clothes in my gym bag for Mom to wash over the weekend. So I rushed back to the dressing rooms, forgetting that by that time the boys were already using it getting ready for sports practice (yeah, we all used the same dressing rooms). As I ran downstairs and rounded a corner, one surprised guy leaped over to grab a towel real quick, but not before a tad bit of exposure. Good thing no teacher caught me gaping. LOL!

What lets even the casual reader know that Comey wrote these memos after he was fired ?

Verbatim from the memo he wrote for himself because he was afraid of President Trump I said I don’t do sneaky things, I don’t leak, I don’t do weasel moves.___James Comey

Hmmmmmm….. Was Comey accused of leaking before or after he was fired? Was Comey accused of being sneaky before or after he was fired? And was he popularly called a weasel before or after he was fired?

These fake memos are simply self serving propaganda for Crazy Comey. He even admits it by saying that he thought his memos would help lend credibility to his honesty 😂!

If you don’t think dining in NYC’s bad enuff, Gov Cuomo is trying to eliminate tipping in the service industry and go instead to an elevated minumum wage. It’s estimated that were New York to move to a wage-based system for restaurants there’d be a good number of high-end and medium-cost eateries that would close and the bottom feed stores would be decimated.
If Cuomo does get this measure passed ya might wanna think about packing a lunch next time you vist the Big Apple, it’s going to mean lines and expensive prices to eat.

Just after Katrina the Big Guy fastfood chains sent folks in to fix their stores on our side of the river. We had little damage and power came back in late October. The fastfood folks knew the many workers wanted food they didn’t have to fix themselves and wanted it fast – there was also a shortage of workers in the food field and if one were ambitious enough you could make $30 an hour easily working cleanup and repair.
Fastfood outlets knew they could attract the less ambitious and less able workers so they offered $10-$15 and hour and an $1800 signup bonus to be paid over a set number of months. That worked fine until more eateries slowly opened and fastfood had to drop their prices back to pre-K levels and their worker’s pay too – and many reneged on the unpaid portions of the signon bonuses too. Neither fastfood nor sitdowns could afford to raise wages in a competitive food market – as it were lots of smaller venues that had been in business for decades closed and never reopened.

It’s illegal, but we’re still going to do it. It was illegal here as well, but it didn’t stop the schools from colluding with them to do it. Heck, it still hasn’t ended here, every school district is sending 2 or more teachers from each school in the district to the capitol daily. They need money, but can afford to pay a teacher to go to the capitol and pay for a substitute.

WORST. LAWSUIT. EVER. As David Bernstein pointed out here, the DNC filed a lawsuit against, well, everybody they don’t like. I’ve read the papers and the legal term for this Complaint is “batsh*t crazy.” Leaving out the fact that they’ll never be able to properly serve most of the defendants, the key thing is if they get a judge inclined to stick to Second Circuit law, this complaint has to be dismissed. The days when you could file a thin Complaint just in the hopes of getting discovery are long over.

The Court has adopted widely a doctrine called “Iqbal/Twombly” which means that mere allegations of facts don’t cut it: there has to be enough factual foundation in the Complaint to make a plausible claim. Every “factual” allegation of consequence in this Complaint is unproven speculation. The Iqbal doctrine requires a complaint to allege facts that, if proven, would support the relief requested and to show that the alleged facts are “enough to raise a right to relief above the speculative level, on the assumption that all the allegations in the complaint are true (even if doubtful in fact).”

This case is more than a publicity stunt. It’s become clear even to the most ardent Trump haters that there’s simply no evidence of Russian “collusion” and the focus moved to Stormy Daniels. This is an effort to reanimate the “Russian collusion” narrative.

Of course, because it’s in a judicial pleading, any re-reporting on it is absolutely immune in libel, and its being filed at all is a news peg, so it’s pretty much Tom Perez’ gift to MSNBC and others, allowing them and others to re-tell the “Russia collusion” story as if it had more credibility.

MSNBC would still be reporting on the Pogue carb conspiracy if Trump weren’t here. MSNBC and the truth are strangers in the night and folks who turn to it for the truth are the same ones who go to Mickey D’s looking for a Michelin fine dining experience.

I agree with Bernstein. Batsh*t crazy covers it, not only in that it is void of any lawful, verifiable content, but also it opens the DNC and Hillary Clinton to the legal demand of turning over the alleged server that was breeched by Russia and not Seth Rich 😏.

      Shenanigans at their dullest.

      Nut cases.

Babies are here safely. The girl is 6lbs 8 oz and the boy is 6lbs 14 oz. Thanks for all the prayers everyone. They are perfect and beautiful. And I have a picture of screaming babies on my phone!

I just made this salad. It sounds strange, but is really delicious. It is called Senegalese Mango and Avocado salad. It has those two ingredients, sliced, with cherry tomatoes, and they are all dressed in a spicy parsley pesto (with scallions, garlic, oil and lime). The dressing calls for habanero pepper, but I used a big squirt of hot sauce instead (I’m chicken).

Im looking at Gymboree because we always love Americana clothes every year for kiddo. This year, at least with boys, the clothes have red, white, and blue but very subtle in patriotic theme. And for whatever reason, there are Canadian flag items mixed in with “Americana”. I might call them to explain what a country is and a border. The only thing we liked are the slip on flag shoes. Dang it.

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

How successful has President Trump been at igniting a civil war between the democrat oligarchs?

Word for word from the “memo” Crazy Comey wrote and the portion that somehow made out for public viewing, Comey offering his opinion on former AG’s.

“I said I thought AG Holder was smarter and more sophisticated and smoother than AG Lynch, who I added is a good person.”

Ye haw! Let the games begin 🙂 !

Comey and the Clintons are enemies. Wait for it.
