Female suspect dead, 4 injured in shooting at YouTube headquarters
Police said late Tuesday one person died and four people were injured during a shooting at the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, Calif.
The shooter was a woman who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. Emergency personnel transported four victims suffering from gunshot wounds to nearby hospitals in San Francisco and Palo Alto.
Officers responded to the call at 12:48 p.m. local time and said the scene at YouTube remained an active investigation.
In a statement, Google said it was coordinating with authorities and had asked employees at other locations to avoid the area.
Citing an anonymous law enforcement source, ABC7 News reported that the shooter was a white, adult female wearing a dark top and head scarf.
YouTube employs about 2,000 people at its San Bruno offices.
“Wearing a head scarf” is a provocative phrase.

“Wearing a hoody” is also a provocative phrase….If I were a bettin’ man, I’d hazard odds that it was a hoody that was worn and not a scarf of any kind.

The media usually bends over backwards to avoid phraseology like that. Just seems interesting to me.

Citing eyewitnesses who didn’t want to appear on camera, KTVU, the San Francisco Fox affiliate, reported that the woman killed herself after shooting her boyfriend.
According to the Los Angeles Times, authorities believe it was a domestic dispute with no relationship to terrorism.
A witness told KRON they heard 20 shots fired.

“After shooting her boyfriend…” And she hit three others beside her boyfriend? Maybe Youtube shouldn’t have started removing those ‘this is how to shoot’ videos.

Maybe Dennis Prager should take her approach, rather than taking YouTube to court (where he lost).

Yeah, she’s supposed to be an ‘animal activist’, guess testing makeup on animals is more important to her than shooting people.
Yesterday some news talkighead was saying she was upset that You Tube had started ‘moderating’ her channel. Hey, You Tube, you set yourself up as the marketplace of video free thought then suddenly decide that the only viable ideas are YOURS and every thought that doesn’t agree with YOURS is to be censored. Get used to people feeling otherwise.

I could have told people decades ago animal rights activists were crazy.
Now you tube gets a taste of what farmers, ranchers, butchers, etc. have went through for years. It’s not the first time they’ve committed violence and murder. It’s also not the first time they’ve used guns.

Yup, we have some very small instances out here but they tend to stick to the urban areas where they’re less likely to have tripped and fallen into a ditch face-down.

Nasim Aghdam’s family had reported her missing and her dad had told police he thought she might be going to YouTube’s offices near San Francisco because she “hated” the tech giant.
Police questioned her and took no action before notifying her family that she had been found.

CNN reporting that police talked to her mere hours before the attack and they ‘didn’t notice anything disturbing’. Then again it’s ‘tyhat area’ of California so what’s the criteria for ‘disturbing’? Someone wearing a MAGA hat?
