Sorry if this has been posted already BUT IT’S SO GOOD IT DESERVES TO BE POSTED AT LEAST TWICE!!!!!!
Reports are that SCOTUS Justice Anthony Kennedy will retire this summer!!!!! Trump gets another bite at the SCOTUS apple! If that’s true then he’ll be able to get his pick in before any November Congressional changes AND Mississippi’s new tough abortion law will go in front of a conservative court!

    • This is where my daughter has agreed to fling my ashes! From the train window! We could see the Forth Rail Bridge from our bedroom window in our little house in Rosyth.
It was always so exciting to see DH’s ship coming home under the bridges. We would always wait at the dockyards where they would have a band and a meal for families that gathered for a reunion after months at sea. The dockyard was just a short walk from our house, and we went to the base quite a lot for swimming in the pool, or entertainment in the club.
It sure was a different way of life than these 2 gals from GA were used to living, lol.

    • I want to go there.

      That bridge is a masterpiece.

I’m not allowed to say this any more, but I love what w***e people can do.

Many other civilizations, proto-civilizations, and pre-civilization on Earth will never, ever be able to construct that, or do the civil engineering and city planning that w***e people can do. History bears that fact out.

I dare Africa, or the Middle East, or Central and South America, to invent even a boat. Or steel. Or refrigeration. Not going to happen.

We landed a spacecraft, remotely, on a comet. And build that bridge.

They created great music. There’s that, I guess.

So my Daddy should have a gun but you shouldn’t.

    https://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2018/03/09/us/ap-us-school-shooting-florida-the-latest.html

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student David Hogg has been an outspoken advocate for stricter gun laws since a teenager with an AR-15 killed 17 people at his school.

Hogg’s mother, Rebecca Boldrick, says she contacted the FBI this week because threats against her family have continued to appear on Facebook. Boldrick had previously reached out to the FBI and local law enforcement last month, and she said the Broward Sheriff’s Office assigned a deputy to patrol her neighborhood.

Boldrick said she’s taking the threats seriously but isn’t letting them change her daily routine. She notes that her husband is a former FBI agent and carries a gun at all times.

I was taught that too, but when it comes to punks telling people they don’t have a right to something I make an exception.

For starters teenagers are a pain in the you know what, we all know that. Second, I would have given his parents the benefit of the doubt over one stupid kid, but his sister is just as stupid. The parents are a couple of idiot lefties who raised a couple of ignorant commies who need a trip behind the woodshed.

For their hypocrisy alone, the parents need to get taken to the woodshed too. It’s okay for this she-devil to have her husband be armed because of threats made against them online, but I, a young single woman, should have to jump backwards through hoops to be armed? Or be stripped of my right to be armed altogether because some loon came on to this woman’s precious gun free zone and proved why gun free zones are bad ideas?

I have some choice words for this useless steaming pile of liberal hypocrisy.

And she wonders why she is getting death threats.

Parents let kids run wild anymore. Since we have people that come and look at animals we have to deal with brats and parents who seem to think our farm is a playground.

I’ve been tempted more than once to teach them a little respect, something their parents obviously have never taught them.

I’ve also been tempted to take their parents out behind the woodshed.

Love it, MS-13 virtually controls the I-95 corridor and the State’s trying to limit lawabiding citizen’s access to weapons.
Yeah, I know the drill, fewer civilian guns means fewer avaqilable for criminals like MS-13 to access. Sure, they’ve been into weapons trafficking for decades but most of them come from international sources. MS-13’s been providing RPGs and MANPADS to Central and South American rebels for years and they don’t get them at gun shows or flea markets.
So while Trump’s trying to quash MS-13 (good luck with that) and the Federal and swtate governments are trying to understate MS-13’s true danger we’re going to disarm the citizens.

For the lurkers and the regulars whom know Vietnam era vets who set foot in Vietnam for even ONE DAY and those who served on ships in certain waters or flew on Ranch Hand aircrafty even after the war.
Yet another of my Army comrades is in the hospital with severe complications from diabetes. Like many he didn’t know that if you set foot in Vietnam, anywhere, even once you qualify for a disability fot the diabetes and any complications arising from it. There are other conditions that qualify but diabetes seems to be the most common. These conditions are Agent Orange related and if you were in Vietnam anywhere you are presumed to have come into contact with it. If you are a VN vet with diabetes or any of the other conditions you have to file with the VA and if you have one or more conditions and have proof of VN service the granting of the disability is pretty well guaranteed. You just provide the VA with the proof of service (usually a certified DD214) and have your doc(s) fill out a VA standard form.
This is best done by having one of your state’s veteran service offices do the paperwork for you
as one teeeeeeny slip and the VA shoots it back at you and you have to start over, These service officers are trained on how to do it right the first time and have contacts with the VA and work for YOU, not the government.
Most important is that if you even think you have one of these conditions you contact the VA main number and tell them you will be filing for an Agent Orange related condition, whether you have an existing VA file or not. Reason is that if you call and establish you will be filing a claim your payments will start from the day you file the claim. If you just file the paperwork your payments won’t start until the day the VA approves the claim. In my case that was 11 months of payments I’d have missed had I not callked first as it took them nearly a year to approve a claim they couldn’t disapprove.
On the darker side, if you expire from a cause that can directly be relasted to Agent Orange your spouse may be able to receive a Disability and Indemnity Compensation payment for the rest of her life. That’s a seperate action by an office related to the military branch you served in but when both you and your disability end it’s nice to leave a little something behind.
So if you are a VN vet, or know one, check out the VA site: https://www.benefits.va.gov/compensation/claims-postservice-agent_orange.asp
to see what’s up. The VA didn’t really asdvertise the program or the various conditions connected to Agent Orange (the list is growing longer) as it means they have to do more of the work they’re paid to do, their position is that it’s your responsibility to dig thru their sites and find out what you’re eligible for.

Good morning Iditarod race fans! The picture above is of the oldest musher running this year’s race, Jim Lanier. He is 78. Good on him! I can’t imagine doing it at 65, much less 13 more years from now. Jim’s kennel is named Northern Whites Dog Kennel and ALL his dogs are white. I don’t know how he tells them apart. Some have unique markings, but most are just solid white. Like built-in camoflage.

The fifth day winds down and Nic Petit continues to hold the lead, with a 10 mile gap on Mitch and Joar who are neck-and-neck in second and third positions. They are about 50 miles from Kaltag, where they can get off the Yukon River and out of the wind. Yesterday afternoon it was a 15 mile gap, so Mitch and Joar have made up some time on Nic. About 5 miles back from Mitch and Joar are a trio of teams chasing the leaders which includes my friend Pete. Most of the teams are moving at an average speed of 7-8 miles per hour, so an 8-10 mile gap is a comfortable lead, but can be eaten up quickly if a team encounters any problem that requires stopping for any length of time. Weather remains a big factor in that.

Aliy continues to hold 10th or 11th position. A brief Insider video clip of her with the dogs this morning showed the dogs looking good, but her saying that they just don’t have any “zip”. They are healthy, they are eating well, they are ready to run; just not to run fast. At least not as fast as Nic, Mitch, and Joar.

Hang in there Aliy! It ain’t over til it’s over! May your team find their rocket gear!

Only planned on lurking mostly today because of work, but saw this extremely important, but disturbing news, and had to post it. Please forward this info to everyone you know, and make sure nothing like this is planned for your state. There should be a federal law against this – oh wait there is! We Banned the Buying and Selling of People when we Banned Slavery – didn’t we?!

Washington Just Legalized Human Trafficking, Babies Can Now Be Bought and Sold Commercially
Posted by Matt Agorist “House Democrats voted to legalize the purchase and sale of human babies.” – 42nd District Rep. Luanne Van Werven, R-Lynden. Washington State

Over the years, as countries have legalized “commercial surrogacy,” once they realize the horrors that it creates, they proceed to ban it as it creates a market for children to be bought and sold like commodities with no oversight as to where the babies end up. After watching children being openly sold to human traffickers, in 2015, both Thailand and Nepal banned the act. In 2016, Mexico also banned commercial surrogacy, followed by India last year, and Cambodia this week.

After the bill’s passage, house member Van Werven did not mince words when she noted that the bill quite literally legalizes the sale of babies. “I would say that ‘human decency’ died in the dark this morning around 1 a.m. at your WA State Capitol. House Democrats voted to legalize the purchase and sale of human babies. For House Republicans,… We all voted ‘no’ to protect the womb from being monetized and commercialized.
This bill sets virtually no limits on the amount people will be able to sell or purchase a human baby for.” “What have we become as a state, selling human babies to the highest bidder? Is this who we are? I asked these questions on the House floor during the final debate. In its current form as it passed out of the House, the bill even permits convicted felons to purchase human babies.” Because of the loopholes in commercial surrogacy laws, the “parents” who purchase the babies do not undergo the same screenings as parents who are trying to adopt. Instead, they simply create a contract, pay money, and purchase a baby. Anyone with enough money—including human traffickers—will be able to go to Washington state, starting on Jan. 1, 2019, and purchase a human baby, no questions asked. As the website ThemBeforeUs points out, we will never be able to track who is buying these children and where they are being taken. …..We won’t know that he (a trafficker) has turned to surrogacy instead of plucking children off the street at the Port Authority bus terminal in order to prostitute them. Conveniently for him, “intended parent” offers far fewer entanglements than does kidnapping runaways.

If you think this sounds alarmist, consider the fact that people have been caught using commercial surrogacy ‘‘for the sole purpose of exploitation.’’ A couple in Austraila was sentenced to 40 years in prison after they were found to have bought a baby through commercial surrogacy and then sold him for sex almost immediately after he was born. This little boy was born into a world of sexual abuse that went on for years all thanks to the commercialization of children.

Ironically enough, lawmakers across the United States and in Washington are pushing for stricter background checks when people purchase guns but as this law illustrates, if you want to buy a baby, no background check is needed. for the full article go to:

Great comment by Stormyeyes at 9:50 am in the Open Thread next door:

In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other: “Do you believe in life after delivery?”The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”

“Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”

The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”

The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.”

The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”

The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”

“Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.”

The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?”

The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.”

Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.”

To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.”

May be this was one of the best explanations to the concept of GOD.

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
