      When I go to my beer store, Singh is always listening to Indian music on his cellphone.

      I asked him the other day, “Do you ever listen to any American music?”

      He said, “This music is prayers. It is religious, repeating prayers.”

      Basically the Indian version of old Protestant Hymnals.

      I gave him a fist-bump and said, “Good. Prayers are good.”

      I’ve never heard him listening to anything like this. I don’t think he would like it.

      I’ll ask him later.

      Cute. Gotta watch kids with agar or any firmer jello. They like to stick the whole thing in their mouth and can choke. Id make it but just to play with. You could put a toy inside and toss em in the kiddie pool like a fishing game!

    Im just finishing making a bunch of cookies. In between pushing kiddo on his swings. Im feeling a bit anxious stiil, especially here in CA where the state now wants to confiscate your estimated federal business tax break if your company maked more than 1 million and the hoopla in d.c. . The resist movement is strong and Im feeling isolated so baking therapy was required.
    I made monster cookies for my monsters.
    Peanut butter/oatmeal/golden raisins/mini mnms.
    The taste tester gave me a big “yummy”! So I made him happy enough he sneaked a second.

    After Denver hired homeless people to shovel mulch and perform other day labor, more than 100 landed regular jobs

    In the first year after the program’s launch in November 2016, Denver Human Services says 284 people worked at least a day — with all but 10 sticking around longer — performing landscaping duties in parks, helping out at the Denver Elections Division, aiding public-works crews and other job assignments.

    Of those participants, Maes was among 110 who found full-time work, with 15 landing permanent or project-based city jobs and the rest finding work with dozens of outside private and public employers.

    “When you take a good person (who’s) down, broken, discouraged, and you give them an opportunity to be proud of their self — to stand up and do something for their self — that’s one of the greatest gifts anybody can give to anybody,” said Maes, 57. “And for that, I’d like to say thank you.”
